Hazel saw how minor the shift was in her face, but it made her wonder. Was it out of sadness or disappointment? Either way, Hazel let Haru do her thing, avoiding eye contact as she did. Maybe she should have let Haru go heal it, but she was sure that Haru would say no.

She shrugged, still avoiding eye contact as Haru asked the question. "Maybe. I'm still getting a leg made, but I mean.... I don't know. I guess it's not hindering me too much, but still..." Hazel felt Haru take her hand off of, and looked back up. Was it best to leave her eye blind and remind her of her failure. Her eyes betrayed her, showing off much of the young witches negative emotions.

"That's silly Hazel."

Haru would lean forward and try to put her hand back over the eye and pluck the blind side of her head.

"Your senses aren't so sharp that you can not feel the hindrance of losing half your sight. Whether you chose to replace it or not is one thing but to make an assumption we both know to be a lie to justify one action isn't good. Without one eye you will be at a disadvantage. There will be new hardships in your life and you will have to live with them. Those are the factors you consider. Not some dream that everything will be normal. If you want to bare your scars then bare them in their fullness. If you wish for a new eye then be decisive on it. Things will still not be normal and you will have to adjust."

She removed her hand.Rubbing Hazel's hair a bit.

"I care about you. Almost like my child though I know I am more of a big sister figure, and while I still think your actions that day were silly I am going to support your choice. I just want you to be true to yourself when you make that choice."

Hazel was a bit surprised when Haru covered her good eye, then annoyed that Haru started plucking at her while lecturing. It was true, of course. But it was something that she needed to hear. That being said, she would have definitely appreciated dropping the subject.

Leaning forward, Hazel hugged Haru and rested her head on the maid's shoulder. It was a familiar feeling for her, and still very welcoming. "Thanks Haru. I'll let you know my final decision when I make it." She stood up a bit, still close to Haru but being a bit more at Haru's eye level. "So with that, what do you want to do? Not that I am trying to change the subject, but this is a night of fun."

Haru sighed loudly and would most likely pinch the girl's nose a bit. Hazel was a sweet girl who could make her own decisions, but nothing was wrong with Haru nudging her straight once in a while. Her father tried to do the same though she felt his methods were a bit more heavy-handed than most daughters would've liked.

"You're the host. You should've had things planned." If she was able to she would still be holding Hazels nose. "Luckily I plan for these sort of occasions."

Haru would release the girl and walk over to her bag, rummaging for a few moments before pulling out a wooden box. It fit snugly in her large hands and had intricate designs all over with a few words of Oleti scattered about it.

"This is Kon'rir."

She sat back down.

"Mages usually play it back home because you need magic for the cards."

The carvings and words on the box would start to glow blue and light up Haru's face a bit. Slowly a line would draw itself at the top of the box, revealing itself to be a lid. The contents of would be a box of cards with weird symbols and images on them.

Hazel furrowed her eyebrows a bit, breathing through her mouth from the nose pinching. "Well, I would have done a bit more planning if I knew you were coming tonight." After her nose was released she rubbed it, watching Haru walk to her bag.

She was interested to see how this game works. Hazel was never big on playing games while she was learning her magic, so this was a bit interesting. It looked pretty enough, but that was all she could really gather from it. Seemed that it could only be opened with magic as well, or at least that was her theory. "So, bit of an obvious question, but how do you play the game?"

"Well, the goal is to take over the enemy city through the use of these cards." She would lay out two different decks of cards.

Setting aside another casrd a large projection of a field appeared before them with a plethora of squares across the board. It was so massive in fact that Haru had to scoot back a bit as the magic merely floated behind her and projected the rest of the board that way.

"Every card moves differently and some hold different effects on the board state. Think of it like chess but with a little more Abra Kadabra." She chuckled at her own joke "You take the cit by either lowering my total life or rendering me unable to fight back....oh and one other thing. Every turn a card will appear telling us the story of the game."

Haru was ready to leave it at that but remembered Hazel truly had no knowledge of what she was talking about. "This is to say your actions have consequences. Burning a farm square to deprive me of the ability to draw for instance could cause a board wide famine making us both lose life.....I feel it would be easier to teach you by showing you."

"To play a card just say the magical word on it, and you get to start with six cards in hand."

Haru would scoop up her six cards and watch the board randomly generated different tiles with different landscapes such as mountains, rivers, swamp etc. Places facing severe weather would even have a cute magical depiction above.

OOC: If you actually want to have them play the game we could do that, or we could have it be something they do in the background while speaking. Up to you.

Hazel listened to the explanation carefully, taking a few mental notes. Well, this was gonna be quite the interesting game. "Okay, take the city and be careful cause I can hurt myself as much as I can hurt you. I think I'll get it after a few games or so."

"So, I guess you can take the first turn, and we can go from there." She leaned forward a little bit, wanting to get a clear view of the board. By her first turn, it would be clear she was gonna be going for a more defensive strategy for the game.

"Fair enough." Haru sifted through her cards for a moment and then looked at the board. Since units couldn't be placed wherever she checked her options. The first two rows were always alotted to the player and Haru didn't have much in the way of easy to pass terrain. A majority of it was mountains and forest.

"See how the first two rows light up?You are free to place anything in those spaces. So I'll play a construction card to clear some of this forest here." Haru muttered a magical word in Oleti causing the card to dissipate from her hand and a small patch of the forest tiles in her range to clear away into plains.

"Simple enough I think. If you say Hy'rum the card will describe its effect toward the bottom." Her cards burned new words toward the bottom of her cards, explaining everything. A small frown appeared on her face. "Just remember to not use magic when you want to avoid misplays."

A small laugh escaped her.

Hazel stared at the board, trying to plan on what to do. Hers was looking a lot better then Haru's that's for sure. Most was plains, so it wasn't too bad. Humming carefully, she decided to place a farm, hiding it in a corner behind a mountain. Make it hard to get to was good, right?

She responded to her friend, continuing to speak in Oleti. "I uh, I guess that's is my turn. There isn't a whole lot else I can really do here." She might have been wrong about that, but she honestly didn't know. But her head was definitely in the game right now. Her mind was trying to find a way to end this quickly, hopefully she could.

Something clicked though, and she sat up, looking around. She wanted to attack when Haru was not paying attention, maybe sneak around her defenses. But she herself was distracted with the game though. And then leave herself open for a certain woman who might sneak into Hazel's room for a prank. "Um... Where's Iza?"

"That is a good question actually." Haru would look up and realize that Iza wasn't laying down anymore and must've been doing something devious...or going to the bathroom. Either one was terrible thing because they all would somehow end with Haru hiring her for messing up Hazels place.

In fact Iza was doing the former. She was messing around in Hazels room looking for something to mess with that wouldn't be glaringly obvious. She had already gone through the girls underwear and other personals before checking under her bed. Nothing was painfully easy to mess with that would constitute a good prank. Haru had said fire wasn't an option so burning down the girls house was off the table.

So, instead of that she left several shadow constructs lying in the darkness of Hazel' room. As long as the lights didn't reach them thy would surely last until triggered by an unsuspecting passer by.

Haru put her cards down and stood up calling for Iza. "You want me to go get her?I'd let you come but I fear that her disappearance wasn't for good intentions or a quick run to the bathroom."
