Hazel was visibly displeased by the poking of her fake leg. Though the floating did help her from not falling over. She was pretty sure that Iza was starting to plan something, if the plan wasn't there already. Either way, she should probably be careful. And make sure there was no phones near Iza.

"Well, I technically didn't get it blown off. Just a magic poison that counteracts magic. And then had to amputate my leg." Hazel looked at Iza, then back to Haru. "And if you can get someone, that'd be great, as you know my knowledge of technology is limited." She almost brought up the orange bra, as Haru definitely seemed like a navy blue kind of person. But it looked cute on her, so no reason to bring it up.

"And my magic is useful, thank you very much. It has helped me in more than one occasion." Hazel snapped her fingers, sending an ice owl over to Iza and having it lightly poke her nose. She was definitely frustrated, having Iza mock her magic. Like that perverted creep was that much better than her.

Haru rolled her eyes at the two women as she adjusted her bra and shirt to fit better. This form of poking is what she expected. As long as nobody was genuinely hurt there would be no need for her to step in and break it up. Plus it was good to see Hazel sticking up for herself as if the missing leg wasn't already an indication of that. Fighting from anger was easier than calm defense in her eyes. These were things she really couldn't teach and could only hope were gained by the young lady.

Iza grinned and kissed the owl pecking her nose before a similar owl formed next to it made of complete fire. Within a few seconds, it tackled into Hazel's and a small puff of steam dissipated into the air as the magic cleared.

"Don't play with fire in the house Izra," Haru said calmly, walking toward the kitchen to see if Hazel was feeding herself properly.

"What? The girl can take care of herself, and you know that this place wouldn't burn down unless I wanted it to. Measly constructs won't hurt anyone."

Iza leaned up and looked Hazel dead in the eyes, a small smile on her face.

"What do they teach you about magic in your school?"

Oh great, a fire user. Glad too see that Iza was an unoriginal sorcerer. And she could make fire constructs as well. Hazel watched in annoyance as her ice owl was then steam. Now her chances of being able to beat Iza were significantly lower.

Whatever, she shouldn't focus on Iza being a bitch. And she did say that she can handle herself, although that may have been sarcasm. Probably was. Although the next question through her off a bit. Was she actually curious?

"Well, it's pretty broad. The basics of magic and how to gather Mana. Specifics in elemental magics or other powers from fire to telekenisis. How to use them for practical purposes or combat. The usual, I guess." Honestly, she didn't want to mention that most of her magic training was done privately. But she didn't want Iza getting into that.

"I see, Haru rambled on with how good with magic you were and I was wondering if the school was the reason for that. So far it sounds like pretty boring stuff but I guess a novice should build the framework for their house."

Iza dropped back down onto the couch and twirled her wand in her hand.

Haru gave an audible sigh from the kitchen, closing a cabinet, before peaking out into the living room at the two girls.

"Iza stop being rude...if you came here to pick on Hazel I'm just gonna throw you out."

"Waaaa. I would never pick on such a cute little girl. She reminds me of you when you were younger."

An obvious lie to Haru but to Hazel it would seem genuine enough. Haru wasn't going to indulge her petty playfulness and went back to sorting Hazel's canned goods. She had the beans mixed with the corn, preposterous.

"Speaking of school how are classes going for you, Hazel. You should be graduating soon right?"

Hazel puffed her cheeks, giving an annoyed look at Iza. Novice? She was more then a novice. Sure, she wasn't a master, but she knew a fair amount. She was way past the stages of being a novice. And she wasn't sure about that comment either about her being like Haru. Unless Haru was a bit more brash as a child. But maybe if Iza didn't call her a novice like a asshole...

"School is going fine. And yeah, this is my last year. Don't think I will go on to college right now. Maybe try to expand my hobbie to a business." That would be great. Having a small place and selling her stuff at a counter. It'd be great. Lot of fun. "I mean, I would probably have to figure out the details later for that. And like, interview people."

"Aww isn't that cute she wants to be a little store owner. Well, I think a girl with dreams is a beautiful thing, Hazel. If you ever wanted some start-up money I'd be willing to write you a check for a decent sum."

Iza gave a genuine and sincere smile but Haru could tell that this was just Iza's mother speaking through her. Both women had a way with words and business. Haru always believed that if Iza ever puts down the wand she would make a killer business broker.

"Well, she doesn't have to worry about that yet. For now, I just want you to stay focused and finish up with good grades.....and if you do pas with decent grades I may have a surprise for you."

"I like surprises!" Iza blurted out like kids who just got a piece of candy.

"You will get a puck to the forehead if you don't stop being mean." Haru gave Iza an evil look that made Iza stick her tongue out and go back to fiddling with her wand.

Hazel was a bit surprised at Iza's offer. However she wasn't sure if this was gonna be a one of those loan shark things. How she will come back years later with a Italian mafia? Or maybe that was just the movies.

"Yeah, I'll focus on school for now." She wasn't doing that bad at school. Well, Bs and As were usually a good thing. Though she was a bit curious about the surprise. What could Haru offer to her? It was kind of exciting. "I look forward to your surprise. And Iza, I appreciate the offer, but I think I am sitting pretty good on money to start up a company."

Haru found some tea bags after snooping around Hazel's kitchen long enough and put on some water to get hot. Haru picked out a tea she would like and set down two more cups from the cabinets for everybody else. If there was one thing she really loved it was a conversation over tea.

Walking back out into the living area Haru sat on a different couch from Iza who was doing small spells with fire around her wand as if testing something.

"Hazel why don't you sit. There is no need to be so formal around us. Tell me ho have you been these past few weeks. I felt like I haven't seen you in a while. Were you having boys over?"

Her voice turned to a teasing one at the end of that but she made it clear that it was a legitimate question also.

Iza laughed at something. However, it wasn't clear what exactly it was as she was still focusing on her wand.

Hazel nodded, sitting next to Haru with her own cup of tea. Looking over at Iza, she shrugged, deciding to ignore her for now. If nothing was on fire, it would probably be fine. "I haven't been up to a lot, just the usual. The Masquerade and Feast were pretty fun. I had an Oricenta here, her name is Beatrice and she's quite lovely."

"And I did have a boy over, but he was 11 and wanted to be spiderman." He was a cute kid, and his father was quite the gentleman. And quite the maker of coffee. "What about you through? I know you have that business going on now, but is there anything else going on with you? Are you and Storm officially going out at all?" She smirked, drinking her tea. She can tease Haru just as much.

Haru gave her usual closemouthed smile and stared back at Hazel.

"I have no clue what you are talking about. Storm and I are just good friends."

Officially Storm and she hadn't put a title on anything. They just shared each others company from time to time. Haru had put some thought into asking Storm out but didn't want to rehash old wounds for the women and felt it better to just leave things as they are for now. Plus it wasn't like she could be completely honest with Storm like she was with her making it even more unfair. What if one day her past came back and she had to explain a "you may be killed" situation. No, it was best this way, at least for now.

"But regardless business is going great. We've only had two incidents where force was necessary and the office morale seems happy. As long as I can supply jobs for the displaced immigrants of Mes and Manta Carlos then I am happy."

She sipped her tea.

"Plus the money is nice." She laughed a bit before setting her teas down on a coaster.

"So tell me. Why exactly was an eleven-year-old boy over...isn't that a bit past babysitting age for you humans?"

Iza sighed an annoyed breath and floated into the kitchen to get her tea, adding small amounts of honey and sugar.
