Hazel was pretty certain that that they were more then just good friends. At the very least Storm seemed quite into Haru in the past. Either way, it would probably be best to leave that be. She sipped her tea, quietly listening to Haru.

"He was with his father. He commissioned me to make his Halloween costume for him. Besides, I'm not really the type to baby sit." There was no real point to, plus the kids would probably want to buy her lots of presents. And some might have powers to make her to do it. "So, with everything else going on in your life, I was thinking of hiring another maid or something just to help out here."

Haru wasn't surprised that this conversation finally came up. She knew that starting a security firm like this would be a real time sink and that her chances to be with Hazel would dim slowly. It was something that ate her up at first, but she quickly got over it. Instead, she would just have a few close friends watch over her from time to time....just to make sure she loses another leg or something.

"That seems for the best. Do you have anyone in mind? I would need to thoroughly inspect them....make sure they are up to my standards of cleanliness. One day you're breathing in clean air and the next you're choking on dust bunnies."

Haru was joking about the severity of an unclean house but she was serious about meeting all the possible people to watch over her adopted little Aya.

"Regardless I will take your say as the final say. It is your money after all"

Haru sipped more of her tea before looking at Iza who had slightly dozed off. Work talk bored her and was a quick way to get her off your back if she was bothering you. A few evil thoughts came to her head but she felt that was the inner child trying to get revenge on Iza.

Hazel nodded, sipping her tea. "Dust bunnies did fear your mighty cleaning skills. If only those skills would apply to helping protect the city." That would be a fantastic site too see. Sure, the sword or gun would win in theory, but feather dusters would be an interesting weapon to carry around.

"I have no one in mind though, on that note. I will probably have to put out an add or something for it, unless you happen to know anyone with a fair amount of cleaning skills or cleaning magic." That would be very convenient though. It'd be a very power not useful for combat, that's for sure, but helpful in more daily situations then fire. "In all seriousness though, I'm not sure who I want."

"Well if you do think of someone make sure to run them by me. I cant have my little flower being neglected when it comes to their well being."

Haru would try to pinch at Hazel cheeks a bit before putting her feet up on the couch and sipping her tea.

Was she betraying Hazel by separating herself so much? After her parents had left Haru internally promised to look at the little girl. However, the countless crimes going on around her just couldn't be ignored. Plus it was her goal to make a life here if she was never to return to the farm.

Hazel would just have to deal with it.

Her thoughts were selfish but to her, it was the best course of action. She could always check up on her during her free time, and little get-togethers like this would keep her in the loop of the girl's life. The last thing she wanted was to lose her favorite thing here.

"Anyway enough about business. Got any news for me I should know about. It has felt like you've been hiding from me."

Well , trying at least.

Hazel nodded, finishing her tea. "No, I will make sure to run them by you. That being said, we should have more nights like this. Like once a week or something to talk and hang out. " It would probably be nice for the two of them to be with each other more often and not talking every few months or when the next disaster comes.

"Well...." Would it be best to tell Haru? She'll figure out about Lorry at some point. Might as well get it over with. "This weekend I have a friend coming over for a sleepover. Her Name is Lorencia Hel'Sarie and she.... We are going out..." She figured Haru wouldn't mind that Hazel was bi. But Haru was like a father who might go full blown bad cop on Lorry. That was the problem.

" Well, that sounds like fun. I'll be sure not to disturb you two."

It was nice for Hazel to find someone else to care for after that last ordeal. She hadn't met this girl before but thanks to the power of the internet and an office section devised simply for background check this shouldn't be much of a problem. The name was slowly being burned into her databank for later.

"Did you meet in school, or outside the campus......actually I should probably ask how old she is first. Is this some bad girl chick who is too cool for school? I've known those girls...I sorta was that girl for about a month.....Those aren't the best girls to date."

Haru laughed a bit as a memory came back to her that she thought had long faded away into the pool of scenarios that was her life. The memory was slightly ruined when she realized Iza was in the room and what she had did to that individual one day when they visited her house.

"As long as she isn't making you do something detrimental than I don't see a problem with you two dating."

Iza opened her mouth ready to make a quick joke at Hazel's expense but kept it closes. Instead, she got up and started to walk through Hazel's place looking for the bathroom.

Not the reaction she was expecting from Haru. Although she was a pretty good actress. Eh, it will probably turn out well. "Yeah, we did meet at school. She ran around the corner and knocked me over. We talked, had a coffee, and I asked if she wanted to date."

The mental image of Haru being the bad girl was a bit weird. Funny, but she couldn't really see doing stuff like that. But that was part of growing up, she guessed. "No, she isn't like that. Lorry is in the drama club, likes to sew and a little bit of cooking."

"No wonder you two hit it off so well. You both share the same interests... Well, I would love to meet her one day. Maybe over some dinner or lunch."

She would have to make gaps in her schedule if she was gonna go to dinner with anyone ever. These past few weeks had been hell in her free time and just this sleepover alone made her push back an appointment she had with a few business associates. However everything was worth it if it made Hazel happy and of course, gave her some sense of normalcy in a chaotic starting period of what she hoped would become a stellar empire.

Haru may not have had kids but the idea of leaving something for the younger babies in the Haru tribe was always on her mind growing up and even up to this very second. Everything she did was for the ones she loved following her departure from this life and on to newer and stranger things.

Hazel nodded, smiling a bit. "Yeah, I am sure I can set up a time. If you have a weekend off I am sure she will be willing to meet you." It is starting to look a lot more fun then it was earlier that day. Although it was starting to remind her that she really didn't have that many friends though. A few acquaintances, sure, but that's about it.

"At any rate, I do miss having you around as much....And uh, recently I went in for a check up. Turns out that my uh, my right eye isn't looking to well." Since Hazel was getting things off her chest. Specially since this related to when Hazel went and got herself stabbed when she went to get revenge. "It's gonna be permanently blind..."

Her expression changed from a decently excited smile to a smaller frown as she heard the news. She never got the extent of Hazel's injuries because she had no idea of the fight in detail. She had come to except the leg but the eye damage was new to her.

"I'm sad to hear that." with her voice lower than before, she would reach out to place a hand by Hazels eye to scale the damage done to it with her magic.

The damage was done and the time she would've needed to maybe aid the process of healing had passed. It hit her hard but as usual, her body suppressed the grief both physically and mentally and she gave a simple frown.

"Do you plan to have a new one created or do you plan to live with it? You have options so it's best to consider them all." This conversation was taking her back.

There was a friend of hers that lost an eye while on duty to stray shrapnel and lamented over his lost sight. He eventually ended up leaving the eye alone as a reminder of his failure and was discharged. Last time she saw him he was working in a bakery.

She tore herself from the vision and instead removed her hand from Hazel.
