Ain watched out of the corner of his eye as the girl had used some sort of runic magic to try to open the door, the girl was a mage of some sort and he only now noticed. He somehow didn't even consider the possibility and he was an Inquisitor, Ain truly had lost his touch. It took him a minute to get his hand off of his short sword under his cloak, he breathed then let it go.
The magic the girl had put on the door seemed to work for a second, but then the magic burst outward as if the magic wasn't the right method to open this particular lock - yet there was a sense that if the magic had been more powerful it might have worked.
He sighed, as he activated an ability he had called Mystic Investigation, the ability was something that only he could do among his elven bretheren and allowed him to see the invisible state of magic as well as magic objects within thirty feet of him. The first thing he noticed was the entire door had magic on it, the lock connected to the same magic circuit, and the cellphone was glowing with a faint magic as well.
Huh?
He was about to interfere with the girls attempt to open the door but he stopped for a moment, would she be able to do it on her own?
