Just too quiet...

It was quiet here. Way too quiet. This was the kind of silence made him paranoid, and well, it wasn't exactly pleasant when he got paranoid. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out shakily, Sabriel sat against a tree, a small rattling sound coming from his pocket. The thirteen-year-old blinked upon hearing it and stuffed his hand into his coat pocket, sighing when he saw his medication.

Nicolas had put it in his pocket before he had left to come out here, hadn't he? The older male most likely had. Sabriel scoffed and looked at the pills inside of the small bottle, knowing that they could help him become calmer and prevent a few mood swings from occurring later on in the day.

Well, screw it. He wasn't taking any sort of medication. He didn't need it! Sure, he suffered from frequent mood swings and the like, but he didn't need that medication. Why was everyone so set on making him take it?

He stuffed the bottle back into his pocket and just sat there on the ground, not liking this strange silence. The birds weren't singing, there was no breeze to make the branches on the trees make any sort of noise... there was nothing. Sabriel gulped, getting the feeling that something was wrong, and ideas immediately popped into his head.

A bad storm? A tornado, perhaps? Maybe some sort of storm that was going to kill everything in its path? Snow that would freeze everything? They hadn't predicted such things on the weather, but then again, one couldn't really trust what they heard on television.

Or maybe a murderer was coming...

Oh, no, if it was a murderer he was totally dead. The person would probably have some sort of weapon and chop him into bits, and leave his body to rot there.

The boy shook his head. That last option was totally not going to happen. He took in another shaky breath, trying to calm himself, still being what Nicolas would probably call an idiot, and not taking his medicine. "Nothing bad is going to happen..." Sabriel muttered to himself, rubbing his forehead.

Another boy in his dark robe and red eyes just popped from behind a tree apparently almost right next to him really Jira not expecting it merely blinked not showing fear or anything since he had nothing to fear, he was powerful and not much opposed his whim after all :-P However...this boy would most likley be terrified :-P

The boy's cat-like ears turned when he heard a noise, and he immediately turned his head to look at what he had heard as well. At first, he had almost been relieved to have heard something, seeing as how silence bothered him a lot. His dark golden eyes widened, though, and he froze where he was.

Holy crap. This guy was a murderer, wasn't he?!

Who knew his paranoia could be right for once!

This guy was going to kill him, wasn't he? He was going to kill him, made sure he got blood everywhere, and he was going to watch as animals came to eat his corpse, wasn't he? He gulped upon thinking about it, unfortunately able to picture such a thing in his mind. Oh, he should have just stayed back at the academy where it was safe! At least if there had been any danger there, Nicolas could have protected him. But out here, there was no hope for the poor boy.

Sabriel looked over the male who had just seemed to pop out of nowhere. He was dressed in dark colors, and his red eyes didn't help the thirteen-year-old in thinking this guy wasn't going to harm him.

Why me?! he squeaked in his mind, and in an instant, forced his muscles to move and jumped off of the ground. Like Jira had thought, he was terrified. His breathing seemed to shake even more than it had been doing before, and his heart rate had increased as well.

He was scared out of his mind.

Sabriel's cat-like ears perked up to attention in case of any other sound, and he watched Jira intently, whimpering very quietly, and never taking his eyes off of the other. It was much more than obvious that he was afraid, and he wasn't going to make any attempt to hide it. He wanted to run, but his body didn't exactly want to move anymore than it already had.

As soon as his eyes became brighter, Sabriel started shaking somewhat, and he looked around quickly for shadows. He couldn't attack this guy, seeing as how his shadow hadn't touched him or his shadow, and quite honestly, the thirteen-year-old had no desire to get any closer to Jira. Plus, he wasn't exactly the violent type, so he didn't exactly even want to harm this guy.

Oh, good! There were shadows around here, so he could easily teleport through them. Sabriel was sure he was going to have to get away from here, seeing as how he believed Jira was a murderer and, well, the kid didn't really want to die yet.

It was surprising the other male hadn't tried to do anything to him yet, though. Well, what was he doing? Taking his sweet time? Waiting for him to try and get away, then make his move? Oh, well wasn't that just grand.

Sabriel still kept his eyes on the other male, having no intention of turning his back to him, or even say anything to him. Even if he had wanted to speak, he doubted he would be able to form any words, seeing as how he could barely even move because of his fear.

Jira only watched confused at the spectacle not knowing what in the world was going on...he looked behind him was there something there? Nope...he didn't understand his movements or his power though he was still on guard if he were to do anything...he came to the forest to increase his power since he seemed so weak vs that witch...

What was up with this guy?! Why hadn't he tried to take his life already? What kind of a murderer was he? Or... were all murderers like this? Did they take their time, wait until their victim was about to get to safety, then strike? Sabriel gulped, his thoughts immediately going to the murder of his parents. That had been for no reason at all, as far as he could tell, and their killer was still on the loose.

His breathing became even more shaky when he thought about that, and he was about to break down and start crying because of his absolute fear, but he refrained from doing so. The boy's eyes became a little teary, though none of those little droplets of water actually fell.

Deciding to be an idiot, he spoke. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice trembling, showing the fact that he was afraid.

"Noothing." He said still confused how scared he was didn't matter to him as he blinked a few more times his voice did sound cold but he couldn't help that...why would Jira be hunting him anyway...and either way if he was after him the first time doubtful he would get away :-P

Nothing? Nothing?! Oh, yeah, this guy was going to kill him and he wanted nothing. And to top it all off, he seemed confused about what Sabriel was so scared about. That didn't help him at all, to be quite honest. For a split second, the thirteen-year-old wondered if Jira really was going to kill him, but that thought immediately left him.

"What do you mean 'nothing'?" Sabriel asked, sort of accusing Jira of something else.
