Just another 'normal' day?

Lestat and Flayace, such a lovely couple, made their way to the courtyard of the academy. It was a beautiful day out for just sitting and enjoying life with that one person that makes you feel like life is worth living. The clouds where purely white with all types of different shapes and size, the wind gave a gentle breeze to keep everyone cool while the sun brightened up the day and darkened everyone's skin tones, even the plants and wild life seemed upbeat and cheerful as the grass and trees swayed in the breeze and the animals sung their songs, played around, and gathered food for themselves and their families.

Lestat, in his current position was also feeling the affects of the highly happy day. His eyes were wide open, looking at everything in his field of vision and then some. His attitude was perfect as he was actually enjoying the day and the presence of his new girlfriend, Flayace Sun Quinn. His tail, as bushy as ever, was flung side to side as he couldn't help himself. He was happy and doing this subconsciously though he hated doing it since it made him feel like a dog. But right now, he was too into the current setting to worry about anything that could throw off his day.

Walking slowly through the courtyard paths made of concrete bricks placed carefully to make a never before seen design, Lestat held Flayace's hand with enough pressure to show that he was proud to be holding it but not too much to the point of discomfort. One would compare it to a hug between a parent and a child, but that's even an understatement as Lestat had the up most respect, loyalty, and desire towards Flayace.

Even though the two seemed to be having the best day in a while, somethings may happen that could change all of that. Or maybe something may make the day just that much more better. Who knows, maybe both will happen and keep the day at a chaotic neutral standing, Let's read on and find out, shall we?

Looking up at her boyfriend, she smiled calmly as they walked causally through the courtyard, hand in hand. This was an almost perfect day, and the only thing wrong with it was that it wasn't over, so anything could still happen. Thinking about that, she sighed lightly to forget about it. Now was no time to think about how she could fix it, as she had to enjoy what she was given. "This is really nice, I'm really glad we're doing this, Lestat." She said as she squeezed his hand for a second.

As she cautiously looked around, she watched the trees and sky around her for birds. She maybe should have mentioned this to Lestat, but she was afraid of birds. Even the sight of them scared her, making her either run away or hide in fear. At least now she had Lestat to protect her she did happen to spot one on their walk. She was also scared of spears, though, she was pretty sure that she wouldn't be running into any of those.

"You and me both, Flayace." Lestat said as the sun shined on his dark tan skin. His eyes seemed to wonder everywhere without a trace or pattern. he was just enjoying himself. This is one of the only times he may ever get to so why not? He felt the slight increase in pressure on his hand as Flayace tightened her grip for a moment. Lestat watched a squirrel move by him and Flayace. In its mouth were nuts of all shapes and sizes. Was he caring food for himself, his family, or just stocking up for some up coming weather? Who knows.

To Lestat, every time he looked at Flayace, she seemed to be extremely worried about something. The whole time, though, Lestat wondered what it was but couldn't put his finger on it. She hadn't told him that she was looking for something or maybe watching for a certain person to appear so maybe that's not the case. Throughout of the beginning of their walk, Lestat had to figure out what was bothering her so bad. It was actually starting to bother him now too. "Umm...Are you okay? You seem overly cautious for this situation." He continued to walk even though he asked her this and his expression had dropped slightly. He was getting worried.

Looking up at Lestat, she half smiled, trying to reassure hi that it wasn't as much as a big deal as it might have looked to him. "Birds, I'm scared of birds." She said to him as she then looked around again for any sight of them. She should have been enjoying herself, but this was really the first time that, she had the time to think about it. Before, she would just ignore the sky and hope to find someone to talk to, but talk, it seemed that she couldn't get her mind off of the subject.

Sighing she tried to forget it, to just take her mind off of it, and think of something else, anything else. Closing her eyes for a second, she tried hard to forget about it and focus on Lestat, but after a few seconds like that, it did nothing. Flayace then opened her eyes as she realized that with her eyes closed, there was a big chance of her falling over.

Letting go of her hand and lifting his arm up so that it is wrapped around her shoulder, Lestat pulled her in closer so that they were no shoulder and shoulder. He looked down to her and smiled greatly. he thought of how cute it was that she was afraid of birds. most of them were harmless actually, well at least the ones on the island are. Trying to reassure her that it was okay, he began to speak will squeezing her a little. "Don't worry, if any birds get near you, I'll protect you from those monsters." He was being sarcastic about calling them monsters, though he was serious as ever about protecting her. Even if it was the smallest robin.

Lestat continued to walk with Flayace, with his arm around her should, as he also looked around for birds. Not only did he enjoy doing this because he was actually at peace with himself, but if it helped Flayace, he was glad to do whatever it took. At this point almost nothing could ruin his mood.

Shocked as Lestat pulled her in closer, she blushed a bit. A few seconds passed like that, before she relaxed herself at the feeling of his arm around her. She felt safe at that moment, and with his calmly and reassuring words, she calmed her mind. "Thanks." She said as her mind slowly eased up. Wiggling her nose a bit, she then started to fully enjoy her walk. As she looked up again at Lestat, she wondered if he'd ever do anything bad around her, as she knew that he didn't like humans, at all. Even if he did, she would have to try to not let it bother her and ruin what they had.

Only giving off a smile, He looked at her for a moment to show that he heard her perfectly. It was quiet, aside from the sound of nature, i.e, birds, leaves rustling, little animals. Lestat however began to think to himself about his actual nature and how he was born. He was a natural born killer of sorts. A demon with the emotions of man. But even so, he was born in the demon world so he had no use for emotions, taught never to need or use them. However, now that he has met Flayace, he is exploring emotions that he didn't even know about. Was he changing for good?

Smiling happily, this was when she caught the sight of a gird, a big black colored one that had came out of the tree to her left. Scared, she cowarded behind Lestat, using him as a shield. "W-where is it?" She said as she became more and more scared. "Is it going to e-eat me?" She didn't know what to do, so she just stayed behind him in hopes of that somehow that would help the bird go away, or for her fear of them to go away.

Lestat was confused when he noticed Flayace almost freak out and hide behind him. It almost immediately hit him that she may have seen a bird of some sort around here. Looking around, Lestat finally sees it flying above them now. "Look it's above us" Lestat said as he pointed upward. He stared at it to see what it would do and to his surprise it stayed there just flying in circles above the two. Soon enough, though, the bird began to fly back to the right of them. It seemed to be the crow. It's only natural that crows would be attracted to the presence of Lestat.

In an attempt to get rid of the bird, Lestat took his right hand and swung it towards the bird's direction. In doing this, he created a magnetic pulse that seemed to run on top of sound waves to get to it's target. Eventually, not even 30 seconds later, the bird was pushed away and seemingly scared of the two. It wouldn't come back and this was a good thing. "You can come out now, it's gone and most likely wont be returning." Lestat said as he began to turn around to look at her.

Avian had crawled out of her dorm for once and decided to make some friends. No, not human friends. More bird friends! She was already well known amongst the seagulls and ducks but she hadn't made friends with the crows just yet. She had climbed a tree and waited for a couple to come, and sure enough, they did. They started off coming slowly then soon created a large murder around her. Sketching the black beauties and feeding them bits of her sandwich left her tired and she soon fell asleep. It wasn't a long nap because a lone crow, seemingly scared of something, whooshed over to her tree and landed on her sunhat, cawing in fear.
"What is it little black bird?" she asked.
Then she noticed two people walking down a path beneath her tree. Judging by their closeness, they seemed to be a couple.
I hope they just pass by. Avian thought to herself. She didn't want to get involved in anymore social situations.
