Seiken hated people.
He knew that was true, he hated them- he hated this place. It was so loud, so complicated, everyone was so fake with their feelings. You had to be exactly what everyone expected you too- so much so that it forced you into a shell. That outlook is what forced someone as interesting, cute, and unique as Emily to hide behind a mask. He hated a world that did that to someone, to crush someones very individuality, creativity, their very persona- purely because it wasn't the "usual".
But as much as he hated this place, he hated himself far more. So, he stayed. He stayed because Emily made him interested because she helped him relax because he liked her. He stayed because he had promised his father, as he lay dying in his arms from the wound he had given him, that he would try to make a life for himself. His father had left him everything, he would be spitting on his grave if he just left it all and gave up.
But the more he looked at these people, the more he hated them.
These were the thoughts that plagued his mind, because, at the moment, he was annoyed. Beyond annoyed.
"Leave me alone," he growled in annoyance, running a hand down his face. The massive man was surrounded by people, nearly twice as tall as most of them (literally), and several times larger in muscle. Freshmen that wanted him to "tutor them on basketball". Cheerleaders that wanted to know more about their captain's boyfriend, and what he had done to break her "shy" shell. A teachers aid that was trying to tell him if he didn't bring his grades up, he couldn't be in the Basketball Team for much longer. The list just kept going.
They were loud. They hurt his ears. They were rude. They were expecting him to act like every other "star player" just because he was one. Well, they would be surely disappointed. Growling, he yanked his varsity jacket out of the hand of one of the overly-touchy cheerleaders, that he could quite clearly smell the pheromones coming off, too bad- he was Emily's. "Enough, leave me alone, I get it," he snapped at the teacher's aid, causing him to shrink back as the young man's fangs flashed in the light.
In a huff, with a sweep of his massive tree limb like arm, he made a path out of them and stalked through the small crowd. Why the hell couldn't they just leave him alone? He'd only joined to be with Emily. It was true, Basketball and Martial Arts used to be his life, one of the few things he could do with Hai that had been truly fun, but that was a long time ago. He had no love for the sport anymore, and he didn't even try in the damn games. He was just so much better than everyone else that he won easily anyway.
He just wanted to be alone, damn it. He didn't want to deal with all these fakes that just wanted to be friends with him for their own benefits- or to hurt him or Emily, especially the later.
