Just a quick gallop...

Ara shimmered into visibility; she had teleported here from her room, seeing as she was new and hadn't visited the forest (or anywhere, for that matter) yet. She smiled, and her body began to glow. Her red hair came out of her bun and became black, and her black clothes became black fur. Her staff disappeared, and a tail grew into place.

The girl was no longer a human, but a horse. She whinnied, and trotted into the forest, looking around her and doing some small jumps over logs and branches that had fallen from the trees. This was the most fun Ara had had in a while! She whinnied once again, and began to gallop down the forest trail; she couldn't help but wonder what was on the trail ahead.

Ara jumped over another log, and whinnied once again. She circled an oak tree a few times, then as she got farther down the path, slowed to a walk. She came to a complete stop, and decided that it would be best to transform back now.

Her body began to glow once again, and her black mane became red, messy hair. Her fur became clothes, and her staff slowly reappeared. She leaned her staff against a tree, and reached into her pocket. She pulled out an elastic hair band, and pulled her hair into a bun. She grabbed her staff again, and continued to walk down the path in her regular form.

As Ara kept on walking, she couldn't help but feel that she wasn't alone. It's probably just an animal... she thought, trying to calm herself before she panicked. It's just a deer or an owl or something, there's no need to worry.

Ara jumped; she hadn't expected anyone else to be there, or even speak if they were. She turned around slowly, and smiled when she saw the boy. "Hello," she said, waving slightly. "I didn't expect anyone else to be here either. I'm Ara... who are you?" She took a few steps back down the path so the whole conversation wouldn't be with one of them screaming.

"Turning into a shadow? It does sound useful.... I bet you could surprise a lot of people with that one, just like you did a few seconds ago with me." Ara smiled slightly. "But don't worry about that... um... are you ok?" The boy looked as if he were arguing with something, but what?

Ara turned to the newcomer. "Hello," she said with a smile. "I didn't think I'd see anyone else out here either. But I guess we've all been proved wrong now, right? I'm Ara, pleased to meet you."
