The immortal stomped his whole way to the ocean. He had just gotten into a rather large fight with someone, and there was a still a red mark on his jaw which would most likely become a bruise later on.

The people of this century had so little respect... he had already gotten into two fights since he arrived on this island! Sure, he was mean, cold-hearted, and probably deserved it, but it wasn't his fault the people here were so friendly. They always talked to everyone... it was too... happy for his liking.

Allen cursed under his breath when he found that there was sand in his shoe. "Stupid beach..." he said. This really wasn't helping his current mood. He ignored it to the best of his abilities and walked closer to the water. He was close enough so that he wouldn't get wet, but close enough so he could actually stand there and watch it properly.

It was warm out, since, after all, it was summer. Even so, black still covered every inch of the male's body. Today wasn't one of his 'oh-my-gosh-I'm-HAPPY!' days, after all.

So, for now, he would just sit there with that scowl on his face, that anger boiling in his blood, ignore the world around him, and probably get a sunburn eventually, too. "Stupid world..."

It was a lovely summer day for the beach. Enelya was attired with a white tank, and a skirt to match that fell just below her knees. She had kicked off her sandals long ago, and wasn't exaclty sure where they had ended up.

Her long blue hair scattered with flower petals floated in the salty breeze, and her purple eyes almost seemed to sparkle. It was a change from her misty purple... A long period of mood swings and mental catastrophies... It was nice to be outside.

Enleya danced along the beach, when she came upon a tall man wearing all black. She almost ran into him. She stopped short, and looked up at him, and smiled. "Umm... Hello there."

As she looked him over, he definately did not seem like the happy type at all. She contrasted him like a cat to a mouse. She felt very small standing next to him, and hoped he wouldn't crush her.

Allen had been standing there, muttering curses under his breath and thinking about his stay so far on this island. It had not been enjoyable, really. He never stayed in one place for long... but he did kind of like it here. He just needed to find a reason to stay.

The man blinked when a girl who had been dancing along the sand nearly bumped into him. He could never get some time to be alone, could he?! People were everywhere.... it was like an infestation! And worst of all... they had to talk, too.

Dark brown eyes narrowed and he looked to Enelya. The poor girl had definitely come at the wrong time. He scrunched up his nose upon seeing the petals in her blue hair... that was strange. She seemed like the happy type to him... not again!

"Umm... Hello there."

"Mmk, so you nearly bump into me with your foolish dancing and all you can say is a hello? Not a 'oh, I'm so sorry!' or anything? Just goes to show, once again, that you children have no manners!" Allen chastised. "And what's with the blue hair? You think your a rebel or something with dying it that color? And the petals... what, did you fall into a flower patch or something?"

Ugh, kids these days. They would never learn, would they? "And hello, by the way."

Enelya could feel herself shrinking under the glare of the man, and backed away a couple steps so he could have his space. She bit her lip, and shrugged a little. "I'm sorry. I get a little carried away sometimes... The beach was lovely, and I couldn't help but dance to the music of the ocean. It's wonderful today." Though for some reason, she coudn't see the man understanding her or her reasons for dancing.

Children? She was hardly a child... And everything she had been through? Innocence had long been gone that anything but the title of 'child' had been long gone. Though she decided not to correct him. He didn't seem like the type of person to take corrections lightly.

As he critiqued her physique, Enelya mearly raised an eyebrow. "I was born with blue hair." Whether he would believe her or not, she didn't know, and if he was going to rant about her blue hair, she wondered why he didn't say anything about her purple eyes... But she's rather not bring it up.

"Besides, what are you doing wearing black on a sunny day? Aren't you hot?" She put a hand on her hip, and furrowed her brows. He wasn't the only one who could be jabby.

He smirked somewhat when she took a few steps away. Good, now he had his space... but he would have liked more of it. He wasn't sure whether he wanted to tell her to go away or if he wanted to start picking on someone else. After a few moments, he decided to pick on her. It was always so enjoyable!

".... The beach was lovely, and I couldn't help but dance to the music of the ocean. It's wonderful today."

An eyebrow rose and he laughed in a rather condescending manner. "The music of the ocean... kiddo, the ocean doesn't make noise. You loosing your mind or something? Things that aren't living can't do the same things as the living!" Allen sighed. There sure were a lot of crazy people here. People who thought they were pirates, people who smashed beautiful guitars, and now people who could 'hear' the ocean... what would they come up with next?!

"I was born with blue hair."

The man snorted. "Riiiiiiiight," he stated. "Because blue hair is just COMPLETELY normal, isn't it? One sees people born with blue hair all the time!" Sarcasm was just dripping from his words and he rolled his eyes. "You're a bit delusional, I think."

"Besides, what are you doing wearing black on a sunny day? Aren't you hot?"

Allen looked at her. Was she trying to act smart now? Silly child. "What business is it of yours what I wear?" he questioned. "And no, I'm not hot."

Then again, he hadn't been out for very long yet.

Enelya listened to the banter of the man, and how nothing could talk that wasn't alive, and whatever. Blah blah blah. It wasn't anything new to Enelya. Many times people tried to tell her she was crazy. And for all she knew, she probably was. A fading memory, a botanical experiment, and a lover that went out, got himself killed, was reborn, and then disappeared after getting himself a split personality. Yes, nothing crazy in there.

Enelya grinned a little, and titled her head. "Have you ever listened to it? Have you ever given it the chance to have life?" She closed her eyes, letting herself be taken away. "Have you ever just closed your eyes, and let the ocean rock you away on its lullabye?" She opened her eyes, and looked over the man. His grim facial features told her - no. "Maybe you should try it sometime." Sure.

Normal? She raised an eyebrow. Apparently he hadn't been here that long. Nothing here was 'normal'. He probably wasn't even normal. She knew his grim attitude defiantely wasn't normal. "I'm not human." She muttered. "Err... Normal. I'm not normal..." She corrected herself. No one around her knew she wasn't human... and she wasn't exactly ready to let everyone know either.

Just recently she had discovered she was an experiment... Her history was slowly being pieced together... She wasn't supposed to be alive, but still in a containment unit being experiemented on.

Enelya snorted. What business did she have? Hah! "Well what business do you have about my blue hair? I think you should take your own advice before you start putting people down, mister." Some nerve!

Allen listened to her speak. Give the ocean a chance to speak... how crazy was that? That was something fools did, something for people who were actually content with life. To listen to the ocean seemed like something he may have done in the past, when he was much, much younger, but now, he felt like he was too old for it. Seven-hundred-seven years had given him a long time to harden his heart. "Why should I try it when it would merely be a waste of time?" he retorted. "There are far more important things in this twisted world than to sit and try to 'listen' to the ocean. But you're still young and probably don't understand anything apart from your own self."

It was true from his experience. Most teenagers or young adults were selfish.

"I'm not human... Err... Normal. I'm not normal..."

An eyebrow rose somewhat. "Can anyone on this island be considered human?" he asked her. To be honest, he wasn't sure if even he was human. How could any human live for as long as he had? "No one here is normal, either. Get a T-shirt and join the club."

"Well what business do you have about my blue hair? I think you should take your own advice before you start putting people down, mister."

Eyes narrowed. "First of all, DON'T tell me what to do," he growled lowly. He had taken that 'take your own advice' bit as her telling him what to do, and it wasn't appreciated in the slightest. "And second, I was merely trying to make conversation."

Enelya sighed, and shook her head. Nature had so many things it could teach the world... If only people would listen. Enelya wondered what the world would be like if so many people stopped complaining and would only listen. "Well, if you'd shut your mouth and only listen, you might find out that it does speak! Everything around you speaks! You- " She caught herself, and bit her lip. She was growing frustrated and took a deep breath. "Everything has a voice if you only give it a chance."

She laughed, "besides, what better things do you have to do? Whine about girl's hair?" Enelya rose her arms, and a bush in the shape of a chair emerged from the sand. Enelya sighed, and sat in it, quite exhausted from all the arguing. "Is this what you do all day? Finding random people to pick on when you're in a bad mood? Don't you get tired of always thinking of witting comeback to make people feel bad?"

"No one here is normal, either. Get a T-shirt and join the club."

Enelya raised an eyebrow, and shrugged. "I already have tattoos to prove it. No t-shirt necessary." She waved her hand once more, giving her room on the bush to recline. She crossed her legs, and put her arms behind her head, still able to see the man. She motioned towards the man, and up rose another bush chair, if he wished to sit as well.

"And second, I was merely trying to make conversation."

At that, Enelya sat up, and bursted out laughing. "Well, let me show you to People Skills 101! I think you've just made my day sir with that one!"

"Everything has a voice if you only give it a chance."

"I hardly think that's the case, little one," Allen said. He had been alive for so long and he hadn't found what she said to be true. Then again... had he really ever stopped to pay attention to the things around him? The trees, the wind, the grass... he couldn't remember if he had ever just laid down in the grass and listened to the wind. Eyes widened somewhat at that — if he had, then he didn't remember, and if he hadn't... then why hadn't he?

Gah, he couldn't let that get to him. It was a foolish thing to do, listening to something that had no voice. Why even bother to try? "I still think it would be a waste of time."

"Is this what you do all day? Finding random people to pick on when you're in a bad mood? Don't you get tired of always thinking of witting comeback to make people feel bad?"

At this, Allen outright laughed. "I don't find the people to pick on, little girl! They come to ME!" he said. He was actually angry about that fact, but right now, he sounded nothing more than amused. It was as if he was a magnet to positive energy... and he was so negative, all the time. "And, no, it doesn't get tiring. I quite enjoy making people feel miserable. Just gives them a little taste of how the world is... it isn't always rainbows and daisies, after all!"

"I already have tattoos to prove it. No t-shirt necessary."

Tattoos? Oh, great, another rebellious teenager. "So you have tattoos as well? What, to show your parents that they can't control what you do anymore?" He rolled his eyes. "They're gonna look really bad when you're an old lady, I hope you know."

He blinked when he saw the chair made out of a bush that she motioned for him to sit on. ".... No," he said simply. "I don't trust you or it. You'll probably make it swallow me or something."

"Well, let me show you to People Skills 101! I think you've just made my day sir with that one!"

That laughter hadn't exactly been appreciated. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, glaring at her.

He still thought listening to nature was a waste of time. She shook her head and played with a bit of her hair. "Maybe it was a waste of time. But isn't life a waste of time? Isn't that what we're doing here, wasting time so that we can die?" Enelya knew the evils of the world. She understood it was no daisy patch. But that didn't mean you have to go moping around all the time.

"Just because life isn't easy, doesn't mean you have to make it harder on yourself." She waved away the second bush, and played with the dynamics of a reed in the water nearby. She then dug her toes into the sand, enjoying the texture.

She took in a deep breath of the salty air, and smiled. "Life really isn't all that bad." Her eyes narrowed, and she grimaced. "If you stay away from humans, that is." Everything in her life that was bad... Usually was a human's fault. She had a hard time taking a liking to them these days. And this one wasn't making her views any better. Though he seemed like he needed a friend.

Tattoos? Oh, great, another rebellious teenager. "So you have tattoos as well? What, to show your parents that they can't control what you do anymore?"

Enelya sighed. She was getting really tired of listening to this man's instant juding attitude. "Not everything is of what it seems. I don't know where I got these tattoos, I've had them all of my life." Her voice became much more quiet, and she bit her lip again - something she did when she was bothered. "I don't have parents... " She looked away, as if that was a subject that had been bothering her for a long time. "Theres a lot about myself that I don't know..."

"They're gonna look really bad when you're an old lady, I hope you know."

She looked up at him, and looked him in the eyes. Her purple eyes matching his brown. "I don't age."

She ignored his confuseion about her little attack, and decided it wasn't worth explaining. Besides, if this guy couldn't figure out he wa sbeing unfriendly, she might have to remedy that problem.
