"... But isn't life a waste of time? Isn't that what we're doing here, wasting time so that we can die?"

"A wonderful way to look at it," Allen said, no hint of sarcasm in his voice in the slightest. A pessimist through and through, he wouldn't lie about such a thing. "But what do the ones who can't die do?" By now, he had averted his eyes. His voice was soft as he began thinking. What was an immortal supposed to do with all the time that they had? It was so wrong... and just... confusing.

"Just because life isn't easy, doesn't mean you have to make it harder on yourself."

He looked back to her, eyes narrowed. "I'm not making it harder on myself," he informed her. "I'm trying to make it easier. Is that a crime?"

".... I don't know where I got these tattoos, I've had them all of my life."

The former knight snorted. "You keep telling yourself that, kiddo," he said. He really doubted that. But, kids today had secrets, so he wouldn't pry. When she said that she didn't have parents, he just shrugged. "Everyone dies at some point. Get used to it." He rolled his eyes when she said that there was a lot she didn't know about herself. "Teenage angst?" he questioned. The kids of today seemed to go through a lot of that, too.

"I don't age."

Well that was a shocker. So far, two of the people here he had met weren't going to grow old. Odette, the vampire, and now this crazy blue-haired girl. "Well, looks like there's another club for you to join, too! Aren't you lucky," he said. Allen's eyes looked at hers, and he wondered if she would figure out that he was talking about himself with that statement.

There was silence to his question, and he didn't exactly like it. "You could answer me, you know," he said to her.

"But what do the ones who can't die do?"

With that, Enelya simply grinned. She rose her arms, making the bush chair rise, to where there were simply measly inches between Enelya's face, and the stranger's. "Waste it." She whispered. The bush chair then retracted back to its normal position, and she crossed her arms. See what he was going to say to that.

He looked back to her, eyes narrowed. "I'm not making it harder on myself," he informed her. "I'm trying to make it easier. Is that a crime?"

Enelya raised an eyebrow. Now he was contradicting himself. He was making life for himself easier by moping around, wearing black, and attacking every girl that said hello to him. Sure. "And how exactly are you doing that? By attacking girls?"

Enelya’s eyes then randomly switched from a light misty purple to a darker grayish purple. Her breathing became heavier, and she chewed on her lip so hard, that it started to bleed. Though her blood wasn’t red… It was green. “I’ve never had parents, I wasn’t created by parents! I was created in some laboratory in a vat of botanical chemicals!” She glared at the man, and laughed. “I don’t even know why I’m telling you this! I don’t even know your NAME!”

Her hyperventilating caught up with her, and her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she started to sway, until all went black. Her body went limp, and the bush disappeared, making her hit the soft sand. What was happening to her? Was she losing her mind again? Was her mood swings getting the best of her again..? It didn't matter... She just hoped... She didn't know what she hoped anymore.

"Waste it."

Allen backed up a couple of inches when she came so close to him. "Personal space!" he reminded her. He thought about what she said about wasting life, though. Thinking, he figured he had, in a way. Fighting in wars and searching for someone who wasn't even alive was what he considered to be wasting. "But what do you do when you get bored of wasting it? When you need something to actually keep you from loosing it..."

He shook his head. There was no point in discussing this.

"And how exactly are you doing that? By attacking girls?"

He snorted. "I attack everyone. Don't flatter your gender," the immortal said. Women... always thinking something was about themselves or their gender. What was with them?

“I don’t even know why I’m telling you this! I don’t even know your NAME!”

Allen blinked at the mini-rant. "You sure do have some anger issues, Plant-Lady..." he said. Until he knew her name, he was officially going to call her Plant-Lady. He might even call her that after he knew her name! Such fun!

As soon as she fainted, Allen's eyes looked at her and his shoulders slumped forward. The women here were rather weak. He had already made a girl get electrocuted, another girl cry because of his words, and now Plant-Lady had fainted. This stuff always had to happen to him, didn't it?

"Too pathetic to be out in public.... stupid child..." he said, walking to her and crouching down next to her. He scrunched his nose and hesitated as he picked her up, almost as if she were a dead rat.

With that, Allen started walking back toward the academy, figuring that someone had to help her, and, well, he couldn't just leave her there.

Darkness. Unconsciousness. Kotah… She felt like she was in his arms… Safe. Her face was relaxed and peaceful… For a moment. She blinked, opening her eyes. Her little happy reality, being in the arms of Kotah once again came crashing down like a hammer. Not only was it not Kotah, but the jerk she had been arguing with on the beach! She hung there in his arms for a moment, trying to figure out how she was going to get from his arms to the ground without hurting herself.

A vine sprouted from the ground, and tapped him on the shoulder, while another, sprouted where Enelya was, and wrapped around her waist, carrying her away from his grasp. She landed on the ground, and crossed her arms. Unaware of what happened, she wasn’t sure of what to say. All she remembered was arguing with the man. “Why… Are we here, and not at the beach? And who exactly are you anyways? All I remember is arguing with you…”

Enelya rubbed her head, and once again, tried to piece together what was happening to her. This ‘losing the memory after passing out’ was really getting old. She didn’t even remember what they were arguing about. She rolled her eyes, and rubbed her temples. “I’m getting so tired of this…” She mumbled to herself.

She looked around her, and sighed. They were a good deal away from the beach, and working on getting back to the Academy. Great. Just great. She really did not like being in those cement buildings, confining her. Her plants could not thrive within those walls… And she did better when she was in the sunlight. It gave her, her energy.

Enelya simply crumpled onto the ground, snapped her fingers, which made a bush of strawberries sprout from the ground. She pulled a few off, and plopped them in her mouth after ripped off the green parts. “Mind giving me a re-cap?”

Allen had been looking forward, unable to look down at the girl in his arms. He was obviously uncomfortable about holding her, too, seeing as how stiff he was. He didn't even realize when she had opened her eyes, since he absolutely could not look down at the pest in his arms.

Then a few vines had lifted Enelya away from him, and at the sudden loss of weight he had to carry he almost stumbled. That had been unexpected. He looked at her finally, blinking. "You're rather heavy," he told her, though that really wasn't the case. It just seemed like a good time for an insult.

“Why… Are we here, and not at the beach? And who exactly are you anyways? All I remember is arguing with you…”

He rolled his eyes. "Someone has short-term memory loss," he said, appearing annoyed. "We're going to the academy," he said, but didn't say why, figuring she would at least remember she had fainted. "And I'm Allen Haldis. Who are you, Plant-Lady?"

“I’m getting so tired of this…”

An eyebrow rose somewhat in confusion as to what she had meant. "Tired of what? What, do you pass out a lot, Plant-Lady? Maybe you need more sun..." he suggested, though he was trying to be mean. She was Plant-Lady, after all!

“Mind giving me a re-cap?”

Strawberries... nice. Seemed that Plant-Lady could make fruits, too! "You fainted because you were a botanical experiment and were telling a stranger, Plant-Lady," he said, rubbing the name in while getting used to it himself. It had a nice ring to it... and it definitely fit her. "And hey, do you know how to share?" He gestured to the strawberries. He didn't really want any, he was just pointing out that she was forgetting her manners.

Enelya was too confused at the moment to really pay attention to anything that Allen, she now understood, said. She simply nodded, and shrugged, and munched on strawberries. Plant Lady? She rolled her eyes and mumbled out, “I’m Enelya Norvayn. Nice to meet you Allen Haldis.” Though she couldn’t really say she meant it.

As he attacked her munching she shrugged and decided she better explain herself. “No, I don’t pass out a lot, if I get too frustrated or angry then you trigger a mood swing which makes me freak out, and pass out. Usually I lose my memory when it happens.” She frowned, and looked at the dirt, drawing circles in it. “I’ve always had memory problems.” She sighed. “Not that you care. Why ask anyways? I’m just some stupid girl with problems, right?”

He wanted strawberries? She rolled her eyes, and waved her hand, and a bush full of strawberries sprouted from the ground, and rose to Allen’s waist level. She wondered why he even picked her up and decided to take her back to the Academy. “Why’d you even pick me up anyways?” She grinned. “So does Allen really have a heart in that cold old body after all?”

“I’m Enelya Norvayn. Nice to meet you Allen Haldis.”

He doubted she meant that, seeing as how he hadn't exactly been as kind as he could have been to her. "Nice to meet you too, Enelya Plant-Lady," he said, using that as a sort of last name for her. So maybe he was being a little immature... but he was having fun, what could he say? It was fun being mean, whether the teasing was a bit childish or not.

“No, I don’t pass out a lot, if I get too frustrated or angry then you trigger a mood swing which makes me freak out, and pass out....."

Allen smirked a bit. "Should I feel like I accomplished something, then?" he asked her. Frustrating her to the point of her passing out seemed like a mighty feat to him.

“Not that you care. Why ask anyways? I’m just some stupid girl with problems, right?”

His face softened somewhat at that. He was bad, but he wasn't that bad. "That's right," he said. "But problems are never nice to have."

Whoa, what kind of words were coming out of his mouth? Allen mentally slapped himself. He was such a softie at times.

“So does Allen really have a heart in that cold old body after all?”

His face went somewhat red and he, again, mentally slapped himself. Blushing.... ugh, he hated it. "Just a little bit," he said, taking a strawberry off the bush. He hadn't really wanted one... but why not? "But only a little bit. My heart's pretty much gone, so don't get used to it. Besides, I couldn't just leave you there for the seagulls to eat you!"

He then took a bite out of the strawberry, waiting for her response.

Enelya Plant Lady... Enelya chewed on that name for a bit, and smiled. She kind of liked it. It had a nice ring to it, and suited her power. She wouldn't let Allen know she liked it though. He was obviously having fun calling her that.

"Well, if I'm Plant Lady, I guess I should call you Tin Man then, huh?"

She let the 'accomplishment' statement roll off her shoulders, for anything that gets her too worked up makes that happen. It's not like he's someone special. Just someone she almost ran into at the beach. Nothing special about that at all.

"But problems are never nice to have."

Enelya almost did a double take at that statement. Did he really just say that? Enelya laughed, and stuck out her tongue. "Stop it, you're smothering me with all this caring!" She fell backwards, and spread out, looking into the clouds. She wondered what it was like to have a reliable memory.

She sat up just in time to see... What was that? A blush? Enelya grinned, but said nothing. She could tell he was embarrassed, and decided not to rub it in.

She stood up, and brushed the dirt off of her clothes. "Well, it's nice to know that even a Tin Man can find his heart sometimes." Splotches of dirt ruined her white clothes, but it wasn't like she really cared.

"Well, if I'm Plant Lady, I guess I should call you Tin Man then, huh?"

Tin Man? Allen wasn't quite seeing how that fit him. He respected the fact that she wasn't being a baby and complaining about her own nickname, though. The fact that she had dared to give him one of his own even made her respect her more. Wow, he was respecting someone... she had better feel special! "Tin Man, eh? That was a good movie," he commented, amazingly not being mean for once. "I guess it fits me." The immortal smirked, but it was a friendly kind of smirk.

"Stop it, you're smothering me with all this caring!"

At this, he snorted. "Oh my, well I didn't mean to drown you in it," he said, face no longer as soft as it had been before. It was fun joking, though. He didn't have to be mean all the time to enjoy himself, though that was usually the case. Even if the people here were crazy, they were refreshing, too. "Just don't die. I fear that may be too depressing for me to handle." He put the back of his hand to his forehead and looked up, being sarcastic and dramatic at the same time.

"Well, it's nice to know that even a Tin Man can find his heart sometimes."

He laughed softly. "Yeah. All it takes is a little oil," Allen said, shaking his head. He looked at her, eyes narrowed, deciding to be serious now. "Are you sure you're ok? You did faint, you know. You should probably get some rest..."

Allen seemed to really be warming up to Enelya. It seemed she had the right "oil" for this kinda thing. She was glad though. He seemed like a geninuely nice person once you got through the whole tin suit.

"So, Tin Man,"
she balled up her fist, and held it up to his mouth like a microphone. Still giving him his personal space, of course. "How does it feel to re-discover your heart?" She lowered her voice, and played around with him for a bit. He was warming up to her, and she was gonna milk it for all it was worth. Especially with the coldness he had shown her earlier that day.

As she saw his face softening, she smiled, a pretty little smile that she hadn't had in a long time. Not since Kotah had left anyways... Making someone loosen their grip on negativity was something Enelya took pride in. She hated seeing people cold, and hating. She raised her right hand and grinned. "I solemly swear I will not die from fainting."

"Are you sure you're ok? You did faint, you know. You should probably get some rest..."

"I'm fine." Enelya spun around in a circle, and said in a sing songy voice, "Just a little oil to soften the Tin Man from - - Whoops!" She then fell over, and almost hit the ground - until a lily pad sprung from the ground and caught her. "I guess my legs think otherwise..." She said, looking up at him from the ground.
