It's just a little chilly.

Emelissé’s voice rang out to the empty waters, the lilting song echoing on the small cliff that made the hidden, almost cave like area where Lissé was bathing. She didn’t trust the pipes and buttons of the apartment she shared with her sisters. She hated it, the boxed in closeness of the human’s way of living. It was unbecoming of creatures born in nature. A sacrilege. Defiance of the life the land gave them. Lissé had hoped her sisters would grow out of their love for it, but at the moment there was no end to the chatter of work or school, and most dreadfully, the men.

The men, the men, non stop. Hair colours, and personalities, even musings about the size of genitals. She couldn’t stand it. How dare her sisters forget the warnings of their mother, how could they betray their nature like that?

Emelissé huffed and dipped under the water. There was no need to get worked up about it. They would soon see that she was in the right. The woman continued to bathe in the water, oblivious to the existence of anyone else who managed to find their way into the area.

Jaya had long wanted to have some sort of safe haven, and she'd recently found this nice cove by the sea. There she could very safely do whatever she wanted, and she'd been hanging out there a lot. Pretty much everything and everyone she thought of that didn't involve a working connection to the power grid, she'd tried doing there. Most of them turned out pleasant.

And to top it off, it was a very nicely hidden place, so in those moments when she just wanted to not be disturbed, she could head there and clear her head. Maybe some other parts of her body as well. Really, the water there was nice. Very few people knew of its existence, and none of them bothered to visit too often. The one or two people she'd brought there never came back after certain agreements either.

So she was surprised when she came to the nearby rocks, all ready to dive in, having taken off everything she wore and left it in the sun at the enbtrance. She jumped right in, relishing the coolness of the water, and was surprised to see someone else in there with her.

"Huh. I - okay, I wasn't expecting anyone here. You're not going to talk about this place, are you? No one knows of it, and I like it that way."

Emelissé flinched as cold water splashed over her head, calling out the arrival of a second person. The swan maiden berated herself for not ensuring the area was isolated before bathing and pulled her hair to the front, covering her chest.

"I... was not expecting to see anyone here either. Don't worry. I won't tell anyone at all. You aren't the only one who enjoys privacy while they bathe."

Emelissé turned and swam to the far side of the cove, returning to the chore of cleaning her hair. Even though Emelissé showed no interest in Jaya, she resumed singing. It wasn't meant to be a lure to attract the girl closer but that was what it began to sound like.

Sorry for the delay... I've been unspeakably busy and dealing with things of different sorts.

"Ah, hey, you've got a great voice," Jaya said, soaking herself in the water and sighing in relief. The day outside was rather warm - too warm for her comfort, and the wrong sort of comfort. "Don't mind me, don't mind me, just - God, that's relaxing."

She soaked and sank a little lower, now submerged all the way to her chin. With the cool, and the music, it was as if she began to imagine some delightful scene playing in her eyelids.

It made her sink a little more into that comfortable daze, and she slowly lowered herself, until the only hint of her existence there were a few bubbles that lazily floated up to the surface of the water.

A few seconds without bubbles ensued, and there was only that ambient sound left. Then Jaya arose, feeling refreshed and smiling widely, water dripping down her short and now fluffed hair. "O-kay! That's much better."

Jaya stretched and then toppled back into the water, lazily backstroking her way to Emelissé. "I'm Jaya. How'd you find this place?"
