Yoka Sake was wearing an impracticable pair of shoes. She normally just illusioned a pair of impractical shoes and wore something like flats and no one knew the better.

But today was her investment meeting for her new business, which was supposed to be opening up on Valentines Day. To sell the deal with a group who could see through everything, Yoka put on the insanely high shoes and started to strut down the strip and back to the down town.

There was no mistaking who she was.

There was also no mistaking how distracted she was. Yoka had a billion and one things on her mind. She glanced around and then slipped through a narrow alley between two casinos. Technically, Yoka was not supposed to be in this alley, but it was a great short cut from here to the street she needed. She pulled out her work phone and started to check her calendar, completely obvlious to her surroundings.

let the kidnapping begin muahaha
i tried to keep it as general as possible but if you need more of an opening let me know and i can edit

"Distracted... Hidden... Alone... Perfect."
As Yoka walked down the ally, a portal would open up under her feet. She would feel herself falling for just a moment before touching the ground, a feeling similar to missing the last step down the stairs. When she finally looked around, she would realize she ended up in a penthouse suite. From out the wall length window, one could see the whole city and beyond.
Soon after her arrival, she would hear a knock at the rooms door, but before she could answer it, a gold ring would appear in front of it, and out would float a young man with headphones around his neck and a mask shaped like a grinning skull held to the side of his head with a black band. The mask didn't obscure his face at all, begging the question of why he wore it in the first place. From his headphones, a song was audible, as if he came with his own background music.
"Yoka Sake, correct?" He asked with a grin as wide as his mask's.

Yoka first assumed that the stumbling was due to her stupid shoes and instantly put a hand out to stop herself only to realize there was nothingness.

Then, she was someplace else entirely.

It was disorienting enough to make her stand still for a moment. She looked calm--bored, really-- on the outside, but her heart was racing. She tucked her phone back into her pocket and checked out her surroundings. Some kind of penthouse. She could see the whole city, so at least she was still on the island.

She had a bad feeling about this.

Her feeling worsened when someone entered the room. She narrowed her eyes at him and crossed her arms.

"Incorrect," she said.

But, damn, he knew who she was. She didn't think her bluff would work but she rolled with it.

"Who are you and why are you looking for Yoka? Do you realize you can call her to set up a appointment?"

Laetus looked shocked. "But... I swear that picture was you..." He shrugged and a portal opened up behind him. "Oh well. The rooms paid for. Feel free to hang around." He then floated into the portal, only to stick his head back through, looking at her. "I'm gonna grab some food. I'll explain when I get back. Want anything?"

Yoka's expression faltered when he looked shocked, which made her wonder if the shock was a ploy to see her expression falter or if she really believed him or if she was over thinking all of this because she was so, so tired.

"Inarizushi," she said. "Please. And some water, if you will. It sounds like this is going to be quite a while, no?"

He said he would explain when he got back and Yoka decided to trust him on his word. The second he left, she was going to start rifling through the room looking for answers and an escape.

As she was wandering around the room, she would find... Nothing. It was just a fresh, empty room. It seems entirely likely that the moment Laetus made his entrance was his first time in the room. That is, until she checked the mini bar. An unusually large bottle of coconut rum was chilling inside. It seems it was not one of the hotels over priced conveniences, but instead something left by her captor. If examined closer, it even had a smiley face sticker on its top.

Soon enough, a portal ring opened up above the bed, then closed, leaving behind a tray with 3 inarizushi, several varied sauce packets, a pair of chopsticks, a fork, a knife, and a bottle of water. A moment later, Laetus entered again through a portal by the door carrying a platter of assorted sushi.
"I don't think I'm a sushi guy." He said as he jabbed a hole through (some? A piece of?) hamachi sushi with a chopstick.
"The guy said you're supposed to eat it with these sticks, but i grabbed you a fork just in case." He said with a smile before giving his food a sniff, causing the smile to fall.

Yoka picked apart the room but she found nothing.

Except for a bottle of coconut rum, but that told her nothing about her captor except that he liked coconut rum. Maybe. Assuming it was his, after all, and assuming the man who'd disappeared was the one who was responsible for capturing her. She assumed he was, but that left her with a lot of questions: why?

It was obvious he was looking for her. He called her by name after all.

Still, he returned with the sushi and Yoka gave a word of thanks and sat down in one of the arm chairs rather than on the bed, lest he get any untoward ideas.

She watched him eat a piece of the sushi and then she pointed to hers. "You should try some of this."

She wanted to make sure it wasn't poisoned or drugged.

"And then, maybe, you should tell me what a guy who doesn't like sushi wants with Yoka Sake. And your name, too, would be nice."

"Oh? Sure!" He said happily, placing the sushi plate by her and impaling one of her Inarizushi with a chopstick before chomping it in one bite. As he did she could see a look of disgust hidden under his smile. He swallowed and held a hand out to his side, a soda dropping into it from another portal. He popped it open and took a sip before saying anything else.
"Heh.. At least I can say I tried it. Sushi might not be for me." He told her before leaning back in the air as if in a chair. He smiled at her warmly, seeming rather innocent.
"I'm Laetus. I'd usually follow that with a fake title, but you seem confused enough..." He leaned forward.
"I'll be blunt. I know you ARE Yoka Sake. I know you have some sort of event coming up. I don't know why I was asked to 'kidnap' you. Someone plans to gain something by having me do this... The business world makes no sense to me, so more than anything, I am curious where this 'game' is going.." He looked a little lost as he said it all out loud.
"I at least wanted you to enjoy yourself. There's a bottle of rum in the fridge there. Its my personal favorite, but I can make a run if you prefer something else..."

"Laetus," Yoka repeated his name with a sound of disbelief.

She was running through her mind, trying to figure out if she knew anyone named Laetus. Did she go to school with a Laetus? No, that had been Lazarus.

Also he didn't like sushi. What the fuck. But at least it wasn't poisoned or, if it was, he had a poison immunity, so really this told her nothing. But her stomach grumbled so Yoka stabbed a chopstick into a piece and popped it into her mouth.

"Thank you," she said, although she did not sound happy. If he was telling the truth, she was going to be here for a while.

"I think there must have been a mistake," she said. "What is your employer paying you to keep me here?"

She wondered if she could afford to double if. If he could be bought, maybe he could be bought again.

"Hm..?" Laetus thought for a moment, then opened up another portal, plucking a book from it.
"Lets see... Fourty.... Yeah, i think that was it... Oh, plus this." He said flashing a credit card that was in his sleeve. "I was told 'plus expenses'... Glad I won't be around when they get this bill!" He said with a laugh. "If you want anything at all, I think its only fair after messing up your big day."
