Samantha frowned at the burning of the desk. That was school property, she'd have to mark that in her report later. She turned to the board and began to write, her smile returning soon after.

"First, we'll be talking about the USS Texas, a New-York-Class Bettleship authorized on June 24th, 1910. This is a pretty cool ship, being the only remaining dreadnought battleship from World War 1. This ship is also notable for fighting in both of the World Wars..."

Samantha wrote as she spoke, noting down the details on the board in shorthand. Her handwriting was very neat, and easily readable.

Vincenzo grinned, resting his cheek on his hand.

"Mhm. That sounds absolutely interesting. It's amazing how we can focus so much on weapons, politics and details and we forget about the people that actually died in the wars, diminishing their blood into nothing numbers."

He leaned forward, teeth looking more like fangs. "Tell me more about the victims of the world war. Tell me about the boys that were forcefully conscripted against their wills, the mothers torn away from their children, and the children that died from pollution and disease. Or are your cute little ships more important than their lives, Turri?"

Samantha shook her head, smiling. "Interesting that you mention that. The USS Texas only suffered one casualty during all of its time in service." She wrote on the board as she spoke.

"Though it is a horrible thing, war. I believe that diplomacy is always the best option." She spoke with a smile. "I am simply teaching history, however much I disagree with the methods."
