Now, Bel knew who the girl was. She knew of Tomomi, who hadn't really? However, Bel had never had the chance to meet or a reason to speak to her before today. Grinning slightly at the girl's aplomb, Bel was beginning to suspect she was one of the few that really deserved to be here in detention today. Both, Patty's and Tomo's reasons for detention seemed so very minor compared to what she had called her teacher.

A spirited answer from a spirited individual. Irso couldn't have expected less from someone who had probably gone through this more than a few times. Tomo didn't seem disturbed or out of place at all when compared to other students like Patty. A strange second home but a second home nonetheless.

Part of him sympathized with her story and wanted to believe it was the truly a mistake but without evidence, he took it at face value. He would have to speak with the teacher to make sure a student hadn't been wrongfully punished.

"No, I'd much prefer you keep you humanoid form Ms.Hikari. Plus it is rude to nap while other people are presenting. If you fall asleep I'll be sure to let Flex wake you up." He pointed to muscled construct who had retaken his position toward the door.

Irso's eyes scanned the room for another victim...his eyes spotted a blonde haired girl who had taken a seat in the back. Her arrival was as huffy as expected of some of the students. Probably a person who did "nothing" wrong. Making a quick note on a piece of paper next to him he'd call out to her

"Young lady in the back please state your name and why you are here."

For clarity, the female aide to his right pointed her finger clearly at Bel and would leave it that way until she stood up and introduced herself.

Trying not to sigh, Bel had fully expected, at some point, to be asked to stand and tell the class why she had been given detention. Pushing back her chair a little, she got out of her seat somewhat reluctantly.

"I'm Bel, short for Beltaine," she started as she stared rather defiantly at Irso, not at all shy, and very used to speaking to groups of her followers, "and I am here this afternoon because I told my teacher to "Dos i chwarae efo dy nain*" and "Sugno fy nhi'n i cachwr, twllt din**", she said, her voice taking on a Welsh lilt as she spoke the words.

When she was done, Bel just stood there for a moment, not speaking while she glanced around the classroom at confused faces, trying to hide an amused grin. "Would you like me to translate that for the class?" she asked him in a not-so-innocent and challenging tone.

At that very moment, Bel could care less if Irso got angry with her. Besides, what could he do, give her another detention for following his instructions?

*Dos i chwarae efo dy nain - means, Fuck off (literally. 'go play with your gran')
** Sugno fy nhi'n i cachwr, twllt din - means, Go and scratch your mother's fanny, asshole.

Patty lets out an audible gasp! She had no idea what she just heard but whatever it was Bel had just said it sounded scary like she had casted a curse! Whatever it was she had said, it was bad enough to send her to dention so... must have been pretty bad even if it was just gibberish to Patty's ears.

Irso blinked at the flurry of foreign words and took in the silence f the students who were either just as lost as him on what the words meant or understood the vulgarity and were snickering silently to themselves. Tapping a finger on the desk the corners of his lips curled into a broad smile.

"It seems I asked for that considering the question, no?" He chuckled slightly "Since you are eager to enlighten me Beltaine I will take you up on that offer. I would like three pages on the history of your language in both your native tongue and in English. By tomorrow in my office."

His curiosity had been peaked by the girl's words so it only made sense for him to take advantage of someone who knew something he didn't. Irso was sure the words were less than savory it paled to the fact that she was already in detention and that sending to an extra day of it would be moot punishment.

Bel glanced Patty's way when she heard her gasp and saw the look on her face. She wasn't sure if the mermaid-like girl understood her words or not, but the fact that she had managed to shock someone felt oddly satisfactory.

When Irso addressed her, not displaying any shock or irritation, Bel realised - almost disappointed actually - that he didn't know any Welsh. And when he asked her calmly to write an essay in English and Welsh, Bel just shrugged. It was no sweat off her back. She had been taught, not only how to speak the language as a child, but the druids had also taught her how to read and write it.

In fact, just to be cheeky, she cleared her throat and asked innocently, "Did you want the other paper wrote in Welsh or y Gymraeg?"

Irso, glanced over the other students to see if there was some hidden meaning in Bel's question. Are they not the same thing he pondered silently to himself before looking over to Patty. Maybe she understood the words since the flurry of expletive words prior had solicited a gasp from her in shock.

Irso rubbed the back of his head, learning from his students was a perk of the job. "Huh...I am not sure...Ms.Patterson, what do you recommend? Is y Gymraeg more primeval?"

The Welsh word rolled off his tongue perfectly due to his cornucopia of other languages training his mouth and vocal projections. He smirked at the comparative clarity and similarity between his way of saying it and Bel's. Even in his old age, the little victories filled his soul with immense joys and accomplishment.

"Errummhmm?" croaked Patty as she turned her head to Irso, unsure why he asked her of all people for she understood not a lick of what Bel had said. Be he was looking to her for answer so... what should she say?

"Well... ummm... " she looks briefly to Bel, blinking twince before she looks back to Irso to give her answer "Yes."

Bel just winked at Patty, hiding a smile too, when she looked at her. The girl was obviously a bit confused by Irso having asked her to decide for him basically whether Welsh or Is y Gymraeg was more primeval.

Glancing back at Irso after Patty had made her decision, Bel waited rather patiently for him to decide, not wanting to give away the joke.

"Then I shall have you write it in Welsh." He gave a nod of assurance. Patty's nervousness was understandable having seen her first reaction to being called on. The number of students who were wrecked with anxiety after being called on by a teacher was unsurprisingly high, He sometimes chalked it up to their age, but in this environment, he knew that wasn't always the case.

What did surprise him was the level of cooperation he was receiving from a class of "rebel" students. Granted out of everyone's tone and demeanor it seemed like Patty was truly a kid caught in a bad situation. She didn't even know what detention was till she was called to attend.

Knowing he couldn't let people off for good behavior he suppressed his urge to repay the favor Patty had given and simply followed up saying "Thank you, Ms.Patterson." The two humanoid constructs bowed slightly to Patty in thanks while Irso floated closer to the two ladies.

The fact that Patty knew Welsh was an interesting fact so he planned to do what he always did with those under his care, get to know them better.

" Tell me, how long have you two been on the island?"
