Is This How You Date?

Eliana broke their kiss but kept their faces close and in position to begin kissing again.

"So, eh," Eli breathed out a quick, sharp laugh. "Did you plan on getting lucky tonight?"

Her tone was light, conversational even. She had broken the kiss and intended to say something, sadly, she "forgot" what she wanted to say. Read: decided she couldn't go through with saying it. Not worth it.

"When you first text me. Then I sorta...forgot about it." She shrugged, feeling odd saying that. It almost made her wince. She sounded like such a wuss right now.

"I really liked..." she motioned between them. "You know..."

Ugh, she was terrible at this saying...gushy stuff. God, thinking it nearly made her shudder.

"The cuddling, the talking, the kissing. I don't talk a great deal with people." She was glad to come off sounding so relaxed and casual about it all because her head was exploding.

Mayday, mayday, breaking procedure! Dangerous territory.

"Maybe next time we'll go to dinner."

She closed her eyes and found herself smiling. It was a small smile, one she tried to hide, but the kind of smile that happened to those unwilling.

"Fuck."

"I was, but not at the idea of dinner." The look one her face was ultimate internal groan. "I was smilin' because I was thinking talking with you tonight was one of the most fun I've had in awhile and that's fucked up, that I ended up lookin' forward to the talking more than the sex. I talked with you before sex."

The more she said it, the more she deadpanned. "This is going to take...so much getting used to." She looked down at him and pointed an accusatory finger his way, "this confession never leaves this penthouse."
