"Forbidden Forest, uh?" Candy stared up at the trees with a raised eyebrow and pursed lips. "What's so dangerous about a forest?" She wondered in a whisper, moving towards a tree and placing a hand on its trunk. Well, so far nothing bad had happened, although she was sure she hadn't reached said forbidden forest yet. Had she missed a sign or something? Or, most probably, she was officially lost. Oh well.

The medical intern had started her morning jog, loving the sceneries that her new hometown had to offer. She so didn't have these commodities in New York, though she did miss the coffee. She'd heard all about this place the previous days, still back in New York, a although she had no idea what had gotten into. Children of all shapes and sizes and... extra limbs had been happily chatting around the school, much to her surprise. The land of the freaks, indeed. She recalled her father mentioning this to her at some point. Sure, she thought they were the ramblings of a mad man, too obsessed with his own work to talk coherently, but he proved her wrong. "Way to go, papa." She muttered, looking up at the sky, mostly covered by the huge trees. Still, all his rants hadn't prepared her for such a place. It was a tad... "Weird." She finished her thought, hugging herself and pursing her lips. Everything around her was weird. But... She looked down at her left arm, vending the gloved fingers under her yellow track suit. She had to do this.

Candy stretched her arms and then turned her shoulders as she walked forward. Nothing but trees ahead. She could faintly hear the running of water nearby, although she wasn't that used to nature to really tell where it was coming from. And then, some more noise. Was that a growl? Or a voice?

On the one hand, Candy had strong preservation skills and would've usually ran in the opposite direction of the noise, on the other though, this was a place for students! How dangerous could it be?

Very. It all happened in a flash. There was a person there, a woman? And a- Oh, fuck.

Candy let out a scream, pushing whatever was near her in an effort to protect herself with her left hand, as was her usual reflex. Down went the medium sized tree towards them. Not that Candy had any mind to yell at the woman to look out. Hopefully she would hit the beast that was obviously tormenting the poor girl.

...well, wasn't that a nice first impression?

Milk had just finished a training session with Bear, and was going over the results of their spar, how the large beast could improve in the next time. He was improving greatly, his speed increasing, Milk was very proud.

"You need to work on your jukes. You have a very large size, use it to your advantage. Other than that, You have been doing very well. Have you been keeping up with your exercises?"

Bear raised a paw, growling and gesturing at the tanned woman. Milk nodded, and began to speak again when she was cut off by the sound of a scream, followed by a crash. Milk spun around to see a tree falling towards her, and her body reacted on instinct.

Moving smoothly, Milk lashed forward with a solid punch, her fist slamming into the tree and sending it careening off to the side, completely missing herself and Bear. Bear stood up and ambled over, sniffing at the direction the tree fell from. He growled, and Milk nodded as she dusted off her fist.

"Hello. We know you are there. Please come out."

Her voice was still its usual monotone, just a tad louder than normal.

Well, that didn't go as planned. Candy stared in amazement as the girl quickly moved the tree out of the way and then landed softly, next to that giant bear and- were bears always that big? This had to be a freak giant bear from this stupid freak school and why the hell did she leave the comforts of her precious New York and its bagels for this place? Man, she missed the bagels.

Candy! Stop thinking of bagels. GIANT BEAR!

The girl called her out and she moved slowly, trying her best not to make any sudden moves. Were bears against sudden moved or were those tigers? It was kind of hard to think when she was paralysed with fear. Still, she hadn't caught that the girl and the bear were friends.

"There's a bear right there!" She whispered loudly in exasperation once she noticed the lack of panic on the other girl's end. She waved a hand, "Move slowly, don't turn your back to it!" Again, those were tigers. What was it about bears? Oh right!

"Play death!" She instructed the girl and then dropped to the ground herself, closing her eyes tightly. Had she known better, she would've known how ridiculous she looked.

Milk watched as Candy slowly made her way out of the forest, eyebrow raised as confusion spread over her face. This woman was strange. Very strange.

And coming from Milk, that's saying a lot.

She turned to look at Bear, who was now laying down and watching this all go on. He yawned, his mouth opening wide to show all his teeth, like a maw full of daggers.

"I know there is a Bear there. He is laying down." Milk said, still confused at this womans actions. Why was she so scared? IT was not like Bear was hungry. He was sleepy. Hungry and sleepy were two very different things.

"Play death!"

...And now the woman was laying on the ground with her eyes closed. What was wrong with her?

"Are you okay." Milk asked, her normal monotone broken by a hint of confusion dripping into her voice. "Do you need to go to a hospital."
