Honestly, Sieghild didn't come here for any practice or learning. She just loved to squeeze out all that energy inside her and into something more productive. Like punching a dummy really, really hard.

She had boxing gloves on, but they did little in the way of saving the dummy from being slowly torn apart by Sieghild's flurry. Every strike left a precariously deep edge, bits of foamy stuff and sand popping out from every mark.

Perhaps the girl's problem was learning how to take it easy, for the longer she continued her combo the harder she was on the dummy. Finally, she landed a hook right to its chest. The dummy and its stand launched clean off the ground and flew straight into a wall. A poor kid or three had to jump out of the way to avoid getting crushed.

“Sorry,” she muttered. Sieghild didn't seem remorseful about it, either. In fact, all she did was wander over to the next intact dummy. And there were far fewer than before she stepped into the large gym.

Then, without another thought, she continued her senseless beating. This time, after tearing the thing to bits with hooks and haymakers, a solid uppercut blasted the thing's head right up and nearly touching the ceiling.

“Ugh...” Maybe these dummies were weaker than people said they were. Sieghild worried if she got any stronger, she wouldn't be able to touch anything without blowing it apart.

Entering the gym, Elliot was startled by the loud bangs bouncing off its walls, filling it with noise. Of course, knowing the nature of the school, unusual sounds were to be expected anywhere - the gym especially - but she hadn't quite realized that it would be as overwhelming.

Glancing nervously over her shoulder, she tugged the shirt she had been wearing higher up over her shoulder - she dressed to be male that morning, but a certain bruteish student of the school trying to pick a fight had made her switch to being female in an attempt to avoid the confrontation. Ducking away in the confusion, she had ran to wherever was closest to change form again and get away.

Walking quickly further into the gym, she was just about to trip over her far-too-long pantlegs (and too big shoes) when she realized that she had walked far too close to the origin of the loud bangs that had overwhelmed her in the first place. And that there was the head of a dummy falling right towards her, from way above.

'Crap' was all she managed to think, feeling her shoulders widen and fill out the shirt once again as she instinctively switched back to male as she braced for impact.

She watched the head of the dummy fall from the ceiling, hoping idly that it wouldn't land on someone. No such luck, and much like Elliot, Sieghild braced for impact by gritting her teeth. Even if Sieghild was demolishing them, a head full of sand was still quite a bit heavy. Especially when falling under gravity's pull.

"Get out of the way!" Sieghild bellowed out to Elliot, a last-second effort to save the poor kid from a sore neck. She was too late though, and the sandbag split open and covered Elliot in sand after a hard impact.

Feeling guilty, Sieghild tentatively walked over to her indirect victim. She rubbed her forehead with her fist, trying to come up with an apology.

“That was my bad,” Sieghild continued rubbing her forehead. She had long passed wiped any sweat from it. Perhaps it was a nervous tic?

“Hey, if you want, you can punch me back. I insist.” Sieghild wasn't much for apologies. She liked getting even. But getting even worked both ways.

"Urgh... Fuck" Elliot ground out from beneath the sand - now flat on his back on the floor. Having switched from his previously petite female form with its long hair and pretty curves, he emerged again 20 cm taller, with short hair, severely near-sighted and far bulkier then he usually was when male. One eye blue, and one eye grey, until the blue flickered and switched to match the other one.

At least the switch had helped with some if the impact.

Looking at the person who had uppercutted the dummy-head into the air in the first place, Elliot had to squint to make out as much as two blurs for eyes in her (his?) face. Without his sight, there wasn't much for him to go on - what with the androgynous voice and otherwise very blurry body shape.

"I can't... Punch. But some help getting up would be appreciated" he replied, as the daze of getting knocked on the head wore off a bit. The quick change had left him a bit disoriented, limbs suddenly way longer than before. He put out a shaky hand as if to initiate, and stopped his fingernails switching back and forth between purple and normal-colored when he noticed what they were doing.

Eh... Sieghild was pretty sure the kid was smaller when he got hit. But she really didn't think much of it, finding it easier to distrust her eyes than believe in any power of perception. On the other hand, she did notice the flickering eye colour just before he squinted. For a moment, Sieghild wondered if that was the boy's power. Just changing eye colour. That would be horribly depressing.

“Can't punch?” Sieghild leaned in towards the boy, squinting her own eyes for a better look at him. She didn't see anything wrong with him, “What, are your arms broken?”

With a quiet sigh, she held out one hand for Elliot and, once he grabbed it, pulled him back right into his feet. Sieghild was a slight girl, and even in a blur she didn't look like she could pick any person up with one hand. Not without trouble. But the moment she touched Elliot, he'd feel like he himself became very light.

“My name's Sieghild. What're you doing in here if you can't punch?” she glanced over him again. Best she knew, he could change eye colour. And he 'couldn't punch', or something stupid like that. With all the dummies and other combat-relevant equipment around, it was hard to believe a kid like him would have any need to step in here.

Startled by the sudden switch latitude as he was pulled up, Elliot gave a small yelp as he was abruptly pulled upright... With barely any effort? Did he imagine getting lighter right then, or had he accidentally messd up his form somehow? Was he missing a leg?

"I... I- ah, wait a minute" he said, trying to find something to say but findif himself feeling far too out of place to make any of his thought line up into a coherent sentence. So he morphed into his natural female form, in the hopes that it would ground him a bit.

In moments he had shrunk back those 20 cm, and his wide shoulders and narrow hips had evened themselves out. The clothes, that had been a bit too tight in his unusually brawny form, became far too baggy again and her hair reached the dip of her back.

"I've never tried, really" she explained as she re-opened her eyes. Scrunching up her nose a bit, she went on "I was actually running from a fight, just now... And I'm Elliot!".

Watching Elliot transform right in front of Sieghild was quite a shock. Even if she was aware this school was full of crazy stuff, it was an entirely different thing to see it happen with your own eyes. When a person just suddenly... turned into another person, that was tough to handle.

Sieghild took a step back, her mouth hanging open slightly and unsure what to say. Elliot played it off like it was nothing, continuing to talk about never having fought and just recently running away from one. That was great and all, but she...he...something... just changed form right in front of Sieghild.

"Elliot. Nice to meet you. That's a guy name right? So are you normally a guy or what's going on?" Sieghild meant no offence, but she was genuinely confused. She just met her first ever shapeshifter, evidently.

"Er... anyways. You can't just run from fights all the time, you know. Gotta stand up for yourself, like me!" Sieghild posed with her hands on her hips, grinning broadly. She stuck her chin out again, right within arm's reach for Elliot. "No better time than now to learn. Hit me with your best!"

"Nice to meet you too, Sieghild" Elliot smiled, not quite surprised at the other's reaction - she didn't shift much in public for that reason, though she knew some other shapeshifters who could get away with it whenever they wanted to.

"And it's a unisex name, actually. I'm genderfluid, a boy and a girl, mostly at the same time. How I look really just depends on what mood I'm in when I wake up!" she continued, unfazed by the question. It was always easier to answer that kind of thing when mostly female, she found.

"I couldn't possibly do that!" she said, suddenly feeling quite nervous as she looked at the other girl. "I... What if I hurt you? Or miss?".

'Of course, being a boy would've helped as well... But without my glasses, I won't be able to as much as nudge her face'.

“Well, if you say so,” Sieghild crossed her arms, somewhat unconvinced. Elliot didn't seem like a girl's name to her, but oh well. Different places had different attitudes towards different names, perhaps. That said, given Elliot was a shapeshifter, Sieghild wouldn't even bother to figure out where she was from. She could be from Japan, from Sudan, or from outer space for all her appearance truly gave away.

When Elliot sought to resist learning a valuable lesson, Sieghild's eager grin turned to impatience. She addressed Elliot after a quick snort, “Kid, I've been punched anywhere you can think of, by folks stronger than you think possible. If you hurt me, then I deserved to be hurt.”

Sieghild's confidence was either crazy, or had a trick to back it up. She didn't mean to give away her secret, but seeing how much of a wimp Elliot was being she supposed it was worth telling, “Listen, I have powers too. You could shoot me with a gun and only leave me a bruise. Now punch me as hard as you can and get that killer instinct going!”
