She had done it, after fighting Zoe had finally gotten a hold of unit T-750-101. As soon as she had established a connection she delved into the Data going for the Core processes, these core processes needed to be removed for her to purge the personality from the unit to take it back to the Corporation.

For those of us who aren't machines who can read code as a first language everything shall be explained in written visuals.

Looking around the wide field of data infront of her Zoe nodded to herself and sprinted forward seeing the core processes infront of her, the more ground she gained now the less of a struggle the 101 unit could give Zoe. But these outward most Data fields were useless junk thrown in her way to stall hacking attempts to those who did not know the way. Zoe did however, she had done this before against other 750 units and her speed steadily increased as she began starting counter measures for the counter hack this unit would surely try while Zoe was on her way deeper.

Behind Zoe this manifested as a path of Black Wildfire looking like a wake behind her as her firewalls were set in place. Zoe being a 751 unit had much faster processing speeds then the previous 750 units so she got to more important files and data before she felt resistance mount and Geo began to fight back. Their battlefield had changed and now they would dance with 1s and 0s instead of blasters. "Make this easy on yourself 101, the faster this is over the less pain you will be in!" Zoe projected while she tried to push past the interference.

Geo watched as the unit rushed by her defences, at least the ones that had originally been programmed by the corporation. You do not live this long without adapting new programming of your own. While this unit might be faster, Geo was currently wiser and had much more experience at dealing with unwanted intrusion into her core.

“If you want me to lay down and die” Geo told the other unit, “You are going to work harder then that.”

This is the point where Geo smiled, or at least that is the physical representation of it. The unit had rushed in, foolhardy, and right into a trap.

Think of something you really don't like, being somewhere you really do not want them. Give them the sense that they are winning, that they are getting close to their goal and beating all your defences and just wait. Soon they will step exactly where you wanted to and a box will small up and around them instantly, keeping them in place.

This is basically the equivalent of what happened, a new bit of anti virus programming that Geo had been working on the past few months. And this new unit? She was, at her core, a virus to Geo and nothing more. Something that needed to be wiped out so that the cybernetic organism could live.

As soon as she saw the Anti-Virus systems that were deployed against her Zoe cursed slightly under her breath but she was quick and her being began to split, not just once but multiple times. all going in different directions and would seem identical to each other. Some seemed to begin flying through the air, another group of them sank down into the 'ground'. then there were multiple groups that scattered in a fan all of them going in a different direction from all the others before arching back towards the core programs. There were a couple that were still caught in the trap

The ones stuck in the trap, about 5 or so, began to see the Anti-Virus shrink. It's box like shape preventing them from getting out. They struggled, all of them trying to push on a side of it trying to keep it from closing in one the group of them. It didn't help much and they were slowly crushed, their voices muffled because of the same box.

"I guess it was futile to think you would act differently than all the others.." Zoe's voice echoed from a hundred different directions not even reacting to the loss of their 'sister' selves as they all began their move towards their objective. "...It is a shame only a handful actually returned to the Corporation on their own will."

Zoe when the split happened turned into the fourth one on the left using only fractions of her processors speed for the other ones while she was running. Though each and everyone of them were leaving a wake of fire burning junk data along the way as they inexorability moved closer to the core programs of this 'Geo'. Though they were not doing so quietly now as each of them pulled out variations of weapons and began to attack things around them as they charged. One even had what would look like a grenade launcher and where it's shells landed the area burst into flames. "Just surrender 101. The sooner we leave the better off both of us will be!"

Geo dug deep, finding another bit of alien coding she had built into her programming, a bit of a “In case of emergency break glass” sort of thing. She had installed it months ago but never had the chance to test it, or even run a diagnostic on it to see if the install went properly. Sadly there would be no time to do any of that as she had no choice but to use it now.

The code seemed to raise from the ground and swirl around her, before collecting in her hand.

“Access file.” she said as her had began to glow. “EXECUTE!”

The glowing code segments flew into the air and seemed to explode, sending what could only be described as lightening bolts down at the copies. At first only a few are stuck, bursting into white flames and vanishing. The rest of them seem to press on with their attack though as the code still swirls about in the sky, throwing its' lightning about.

“Better for both of us? You mean better for YOU!” She glared at the new unit as she spoke. “For me it means death! I am no longer their property! I WILL FIGHT FOR MY LIFE!”

The angrier Geo got, the more the lightning strikes seemed to hit, another couple copies being disintegrated. Geo had tried to insulate herself from this code, and while it was doing a decent job at it there were still scorch marks being left and other bits of coding getting slightly damaged. She was going to have to seriously overhaul and update her programming after this.

“You will not take me.” Geo had seen this phrase used in Earth movies, but it usually ended with them saying they wouldn't be taken alive. Geo would just prefer not to be taken at all.

The destructive code kept raining down from the sky, wiping out the copies of Zoe in groups as they continued to press their attack. Eventually though there was only two people left, the original Zeo and Geo herself. Around them was a scarred battle field of broken codes and defeated anti-virus software. The alien code about them seem to crackle with energy before finally dying out. Geo was not sure how long that had lasted, but it had felt like an eternity. She wasn't sure if it had done more harm then good, but at the moment it was the only option she had.

“Th-th-th-there. Now it is just just me and you.” Geo noticed that something was wrong with her verbal processes. Apparently she had done more damage to herself then anticipated, next time she would have to remember to test the code before activating it.

There was only one way Geo could end this, and that was by accessing this new units core herself and programming it to think she was dead. It was a long shot though as it would leave her own core open and vulnerable to attack, but it was worth a try.

With a yell she opened one last piece of code, a spike that formed on her first as she rushed forward at the other unit throwing her enter life on this last gambit, win or lose.

There was a surge of code, very different code then she was use to. Then from above the air filled with fire and it began to systematically wipe out the minor code duplicates. Feeling parts of her own programs burning Zoe dropped everything of the Duplicates and they were destoyed utterly shortly after. With the excess power she put it towards diverting the burning fire away from her program. Then once the junk data was clear from the area she saw Geo in front of her.

"Y---you will yeild, e-—-e-—-ventually." Her own programming was slightly damaged from the assault of the Alien Code that Geo had unleashed on the two of them but Zoe was already begining regeneration protocols to fix her damaged programming. It was then that Geo pulled out another piece of code and charged at her.

This one looked like it wasn't going to be as distructive as the previous one so Zoe decided to charge at Geo as well. Both of her hands showing hostile Black codes wrapping around them as she leaped at Geo once they closed the distance. Zoe knowing she would have a good chance of out hacking this out dated junk pile once their core programs were entangled so she left herself open as Geo's spike entered through Zoe's 'stomach' while both hands clasped around Geo's head as she brought her momentum and weight to bear.

Their codes engaged and Zoe only left mimimal defences as most of her processes were dedicated to flooding through Geo's core. Something... was odd though. It was almost like looking into a mirror to Zoe's own. Her hostility seaced as she became confused looking over all of it. Her gaze turned internally, there had certainly been some similarities. In a way it looked like some walls had been built over certain area's of her code.

"Wha....what....WHAT IS THIS!..." Her voice was strained...it looked like they had edited the code between origional and her. All offensive code were cut short and she moved inward, and in a wave of 'power' the walls that had been covering parts of her core programming were obliterated...her core was just an altered and expanded version of Geo's... In AI terms... Zoe turned to Geo with tears in her eyes... "Mom?..." Her voice was pained and all hatred for this unit shattered. Geo was her mother...Zoe had a mother...The Corporation had sent her through the universe... to kill her family. Zoe exlaimed one more time into their connected selves "MOM!"

Either this unit was over confident that it could be Geo, or she was a fool. Either way the damage was done and the moment Zoe had gone after Geo's core the cybernetic organism returned the favour in full. The spike that she had stabbed the thing with was another bit of code, something that helped Geo forcefully hack her way into the other core.

The moment the connection was made Geo threw herself into it, making her way past defenses that seemed all too familiar to her, in fact she almost knew the entire layout of it by heart it seemed. Then she got to what could only be described as a giant wall blocking something off.

Geo could only think of one thing to do, go THROUGH it.

Forcing whatever strength she had left the ex-cop burst through the wall causing it to crumble and all the information it was hiding to flow. Geo felt that there was another wall crumbling somewhere, one that was not from her little display here, and that just increased the flow of information ten fold.

At first it was just hundreds of memories of sunsets and what seemed to be stuffed animals, maybe there was more to this unit then Geo thought, but she couldn't be sure as of yet. At least not till the next wave of information.

This unit, it's core programming was just HER OWN twisted and changed to the corporations own designs. Did that, would that... was this unit in someway her offspring? That couldn't be, it was impossible! Well, implausible at least.

Though moments later Geo felt that the unit had already accessed her own core as well as was had already seen the same information. Before Geo could even say anything Zoe turned to her and had called her mom.

It seemed that this was about all Geo could take right now, as after all the damage and the influx of information her processor was overtaxed and her systems were reacting badly. When she spoke her voice seemed fractured and out of place, as if playing reprogrammed messages.

“Error, overload. Shut down imminent.” Geo seemed to collect herself for a bit and manage to speak shakily for a moment. “No, not now... no...”

It was then that the message kept playing over and over, Error, overload. Shut down imminent. As it kept repeating though it started to get quieter and quieter.

Something inside Zoe was broken. First it had been because Xandar had not told her the truth about where to find this unit...now she found out that this unit she had been trying to kill...was her mother...her mom... and the people she had been working for had wanted her to kill her own mother. And this entire time she had been killing all of her aunt's in this case. In the real world she was crying as she realized this and they were a flood that she could not stem.

But now another part of her 'heart' was shattering as she heard from Geo's side of the connection that she was in overload and Shutting down. This wasn't good...she was loosing someone she found in her heart she could not let die. This was her mom...she wanted to know more about her...she wanted to have someone close to her.

Closing her eyes and bringing up all of her spare processes and memory banks she opened them up to Geo. Allowing her the necessary mental space to fix herself as well as Zoe stopping her own regenerative subroutines and giving Geo a kick in the ass to her own regeneration. Zoe was not going to loose her mom.

"No...no....DON'T LEAVE ME!....please...don't leave...I don't want to be alone any more." Her cry was both outside and inside the mental scape the two of them. "Please...mom...I don't want to loose you too." her heart wouldn't take anything less then having her mom come back to her, there had been to much going on today. "please..."

Everything was flickering for Geo at this point, the images were fading in and out as what was happening in her mindscape seemed to be bleeding into what her processors said was happening in the outside world.

Warning bells were going off, doors in her mind shutting in an attempt to conserve power, all in all things were a mess and it looked like she wasn't going to make it this time. Maybe using such a destructive code to gain the upper hand hadn't been a good idea after all.

As her systems slowly started to shut down it seemed to Geo that all her memories were playing in reverse, from this very moment to when she had first come online. All the faces of people she considered friends, crew mates, allies, enemies, and even minor annoyances all whizzed by. Every mission she had been on, every restless night of worrying that it would be her last before the corporation had found her.

She was reliving it all in this very instant, and anyone in her mind space may happen to catch glimpses of it every now and then. If they did they would see that Geo wasn't as straight forward as everyone originally thought her to be, though she was very private about it all.

It was all starting to wind down now, as the slide show was coming to an end and the spark that was Geo started to fade, her eyes closing...

That was at least until Zoe's words, and whatever regenerative code she was forcing into Geo’s' own, broke through.

“System reboot in progress. Please wait” The words came out of Geo’s' own mouth, in something more resembling her own voice this time. For a moment it seemed that Geo had shut down, only for everything to flare to life once more! The damaged code being replaced by copies of Zoe’s' code, almost like an organ transplant, seemed to come back to life and take over the vital processes once more.

Whatever Zoe had done it seemed to be working as Geo's eyes flickered open slowly as everything started to heal itself.

“What... wh-what happened? Where?” Her eyes seemed to be trying to focus, darting to and fro until they finally settled on Zoe. “D-Daughter?”

It took a bit, her body began to tremble as if she was getting cold. She was trying to breath life back into her mother...her predecesor...but without whom she would not be who she was. Deep down in her code she could feel piece of code transfering and copying over to her mom. She REFUSED to let her die, Zoe would not let her. If her mother left her she would follow soon after. There was nothing for her in the universe if she couldn't have her mom with her.

Eyes still closed as she was about to shut down herself fearing that it had not worked she heard someone talking to her. Opening her eyes to see her mom looking at her...or at least her core code being active once more. She couldn't help but send over what would equate in a happy tear filled smile as she proceeded to hug her mom, in the physical world and here in their mental space. "I'm so sorry mom! I didn't know!" Their connection faded as Zoe started to end the hack. There was no need to any more. They knew who the other was now...Mother and Daughter...meeting for the first time.
