Yoka Sake was sitting cross-legged at the bar of her most notorious exotic dance club: The Cross Fox.

She was in her standard form--a beautiful Japanese woman with her hair pulled back into an elaborate butterfly clip. Strands of it fell over her face. While her dress was low-cut and revealed her ample bussom, she was more covered than many of the girls working the room.

And that's because tonight, Yoka had a different sort of business to attend to.

It had been a long time since she'd sent Cat, her body guard, to check on establishments in New York, Los Angelos, and Paris. Yoka was a ruthless business owner and did not tolerate misbehavior on the part of her employees. She had enemies that needed to be removed before they made an attempt on her life, too, and Cat was most definitely skilled for that. She trusted Cat to handle her wishes and....also...to check on that other matter.

She'd asked Cat if she found anyway to make someone immortal.

it was a recent development, phoned in only a few short days ago, so Yoka did not expect much...but she was still hopeful. Cat was resourceful.

She was expecting the young woman back today. Yoka stirred the straw in her Shirley temple and popped the cherry into her mouth.

She waited.

Cat the panther demon was finally home, in Manta Carlos where Yoka her contractor lived. She didn't like being sent away from the very person she was supposed to protect, but aside from a few exceptions orders required absolute obedience by her contract and by Yoka.

Normally she could have been summoned when the contractor where in danger or if called by her real name, this time however there was something, holding her back and she would bring it up in a moment. As she wasn't able to shape shift into constructs she couldn't change into a missile, she was however able to use one of her spells to boost her physical speed to match that of a missile, to get home faster.

When she finally got close to The Cross Fox, she thought to be cute and shifted to her cat form around the corner, then slipping in. Of course she could use her stealth spell but that would be a waste and not as subtle, should she bump into the bouncer, besides she had a very simple plan. After she had slipped in she walked along the walls as not to be trampled, then to give Yoka a hint she made sure to, like a cat, walk around the crossed legs before she headed to the bathroom to change into a humanoid form.

Exited the bathroom as a female humanoid, wearing black leather. A basic appearance of dark brown skin hue and eye color. black and long hair and a height of around 5 feet tall. Cat walked right up to Yoka, after first washing her hands, just in case..

"I got an extra soul" it had been awhile since the two had seen each other but she hoped Yoka hadn't forgotten the shape shifting abilities Cat had, nor that she needed souls and that she could get them from a kill order. If none of this was forgotten then she should be able to put two and two together. It had less been about incognito or stealth as it had been about making it look seamless. As for the other business, well she first wanted to see Yoka's reaction, to feel her up, if she needed to spell it out.

Ah Cat, beautiful, beautiful, Cat.

As a kitsune Yoka knew that appearances could be deceiving. It didn't stop her from appreciating how the black leather fit the form of the woman approaching her.

"Cat," Yoka purred her name, her voice dropping into the low and seductive lilt of an exotic dance club owner. "It's so good to see you again, I take it you have news?"

And oh yes, did Yoka connect the two together. Excellent. If Cat took care of that pesky fellow with the death wish on the kitsune that seduced his wife, Yoka was a little bit safer. That bastard had money and influence, and Yoka knew it was only a matter of time before he found her.

But not now.

"That's wonderful news, my dear," Yoka said. "It pleases me to know you've been eating well. You're such a slight thing, after all."

The comment was for anyone who might be listening, but Yoka didn't think anyone would really be listening to hard. There were a lot of...distractions here, so to speak.

"Where was your favorite meal at while you were out?" Yoka asked, wondering what city the deed had been done in.

Yoka remembered the details about Cat, as expected. So, Yoka wanted to continue the incognito act "First thing first. That spa made a killing on my wallet but rejuvenated my soul" with that she fooled anyone listening in, with her made up spa story. "And then I took your advice to eat in that restaurant uhm, oh you know the one in L.A.?" A simple confirmation that Yoka knew what Cat was talking about would suffice, no need to go the extra mile and come up with a name for the food establishment.

"I did however get trapped in the sauna, I almost passed out and couldn't see anything from all the steam" This one may have been a bit of a stretch, she had indeed followed the lead into a trap and the steam she talked about was the magic stopping her from using her power and by extent sensing when Yoka was in danger.

"They have yet to find the fountain of youth, such a shame" especially a shame that the two couldn't just switch then both would get what they wanted, since Yoka wanted immortality and Cat mortality, well more specific, humanity.

Oh Cat, beautiful, beautiful Cat. She played this game so well!

Yoka was pleased to hear that the contract had been completed in L.A. Oh! How wonderful. Yoka hated going to California. All the traffic and the vegan food. It was so much harder to explain blood-stained clothes when half the people there wouldn't even touch a raw steak. And forget about gluten.

Yoka did need a moment to pick up what Cat meant about the sauna, but she inferred the meaning easily enough. She remembered the benefits of their contract.

"I trust you've been well hydrated since then," Yoka expressed her worry, motioning to the bartender. She ordered another Shirley temple and then nodded to Cat to see if she wanted anything.

She wasn't surprised about the immortality bit, but she would still hold out hope.

"I might have another trip recommendation for you, although this time it's more local," Yoka explained. "I'm reluctant to have you travel outside of the island again so soon when you've just gotten back and things have gotten...exciting around here."

Yoka took a sip of her drink.

Yoka suspected her life was in danger. She suspected Murpy's life was in danger.

It was a bad feeling she had.

"Would more work be something you're interested in?"

Aside from reporting back after her attempt at returning speedily, something to drink would indeed be appreciated. "Yes, I think I will have a glass of milk" she would prefer a milk bottle, one of those old ones the milk delivery man used to deliver and swap out from the empty ones on the porch of his costumers, Cat did however realize that they had long been obsolete.

Cat didn't order alkohol for two reasons, first was the simple work etiquette to not drink while on the job and secondly was that she simply liked milk. She was a cat demon after all and having been trapped for so long she wanted it so bad, she would have asked for it as soon as she entered the Cross Fox, however she hadn't lost any screws or sense of self while trapped, meaning she could act according to her normal standard and duty came first.

Exciting, was never good, but for Cat who had been holed up in a magical trap to restrain her power for so long and with no humans to observe, this was definitely something she was interested in.. "Local will be just fine, I need to stretch my legs after that flight anyway."

If the bartender was surprised that she ordered milk, he didn't say anything. He pulled out a frosted glass and poured the milk into it, making sure it was ice cold as he slid it across the counter to her and finished up Yoka's second Shirley temple.

Yoka popped the cherry into her mouth and considered how to phrase her request.

She wanted--and needed--her relationship with Murphy to remain a secret, for his safety and for hers.

Yoka didn't want to hire Cat to stalk Murphy for her. She valued privacy, and that would run counter to everything Yoka cherished. It would be an unfair situation in this relationship.

But it was unfair that Murphy would probably die before she would.

"A few months ago, we had a young woman who came in and broke a few cardinal rules of The Cross Fox," Yoka said.

One of her cardinal rules was No Touching the Employees. And Milk had flipped Murphy over, then had some bizarre reaction that Yoka was pretty sure would have resulted in having to file an incident report with her insurance company. Murphy insisted it was okay and he trusted Milk...but Yoka didn't.

Yoka nodded to Cat's beverage.

"You might want to see where else on the island you can get a cold glass of Milk," Yoka said. She leaned back on the chair. She didn't want Cat to kill her, at least not until Yoka knew what kind of threat she was.

But....

She wanted to make sure she was compensating Cat appropriately.

"Are you hungry for anything specific?" Yoka asked her, narrowing her eyes and grinning.

Someone did what now? Did they hurt Yoka at the one time Cat couldn't be there? Cat cared for the employees to but not as strong as for Yoka, only as an extension of her contractors wishes, wants or needs. She took one, two, three sips of the milk as she continued to listen, nodding now and then.

"How are you, anything serious? I am sorry I couldn't be here." This wasn't words Cat had ever expected to say, as she prided herself as a professional. Leaning in listening when Yoka leaned in.

"I need to eat a lot before getting full, however as I told you the flight was boring so I was looking for something to negate that, maybe a game" Liking her mouth as she said the last word. The first part she mentioned that her needs where many souls but whether Yoka could and would provide her with sufficient souls was one thing and that she had asked If Cat wanted anything specific was another. Hunting terminologi, game, hunting for sport or food. A way for her to tell Yoka that she preferred someone who would present a challenge, someone she could toy whit.

Cat lingered a bit to hear Yokas response but then sat back up to drink the remaining milk and grinned at the thought.

"I'm fine, didn't even take a hit, but you know how I feel about people breaking rules here," Yoka sighed, shaking her head. "It's bad for my reputation if people think they can just come in and touch my staff whenever they want. It's bad for my customers...and for my staff. i'm proud of the work environment I have here."

There hadn't been an actual disaster at the Cross Fox since 1882, but Yoka could have seen that scenario becoming one.

She considered Cat's words with a smile. Yoka reached into her blouse and pulled out a small piece of folded paper and handed it over to Cat. It was an itinerary of sorts. It would outline specifically what Yoka wanted.

First, she wanted information--but not the death of--a woman named Milk. All the details Yoka had on her where scribbled down: In the company of a giant bear, often trains in the woods, super strong bones. Please recon motives and assess potential threat. Do not let her know you work for me.

Next on the paper were a series of names and last known locations. All of them were on the island. Several of them were more prominent then others. The last one was a fairly well-known conman in the underground.

he'd apparently crossed Yoka bad enough to be considered a threat.

There will be an extra treat if you can make it look like an accident, she'd written.

"What do you think?" Yoka asked, regarding the list. "I wasn't sure if any of this would strike your fancy. Not sure if you've been craving anything specific, so I tried to include a wide variety of tastes and atmospheres there."

No it wasn't fine, however she knew better then to disagree with her contractor, whoever they where. Signaling the bartender for another drink with a hand gesture, nodded the bartender as a means of saying thanx and to not initiate another conversation while she was busy with Yoka.

Cat returned her eyes, to once more look at Yoka, as a sign that she was listening. She took the itinerary between two fingers, flipped it up to see the letters and placing it in a jacket pocket, on the inside and giving Yoka a nod. as if to say that she was on top of it. Intending to incinerate the piece of paper somewhere else and by that act removing any evidence.
