Illusions Bring People Together

The balls of light seemed flash, releasing comical sounds as they did. Bowen hadn't done a video in a long time, but now that he was on the island, he was going to try gaining some sort of normalcy in his life. Thankfully normal didn't have to be boring.

So he'd found an isolated area in the park and started filming, it wasn't much, him messing with his illusions and sound powers, experimenting really. He had a calm smile about him as he let the illusions fade and started adjusting the camera.

He started to hum quietly, some old song his mom used to sing. His blue eyes shinning as he finished the adjustments, it was odd, doing this after so much had happened, but life went on, so he'd try to do the same.

His nose twitched as he picked up the girl's scent, she didn't smell human. Turning, he smiled brightly at her, "oh those? Just a little something I can do." Snapping his fingers, what appeared to be silent fireworks started going off around him, "there illusions, just a little magic trick I know."

Chuckling, he snapped his fingers again and the illusions vanished, "I make little videos with them. Post them online." A small glowing orb appeared and floated around her, making a light humming sound as it did.

"I'm Bowen, just arrived." He spoked in a light Welsh accent, "so what brings you down here cutie?" Not long ago, he doubted he'd ever get to talk to another person, let alone a cute girl his age.

He returned the smile, definitely cute, with an energy about her. "It's just a little trick, I'm happy you like it though." He finished adjusting the camera and stepped away from it, small orbs constantly changing colored lights appeard, circling around them, living trails of light.

"Celeste," he repeated her name curiously, "like celestial, like the stars above, it's a pretty name." He grinned a bit, his fangs showing as usual, he didn't have to hide what he was here, "I think you're the first person I've talked to here, not counting a few teachers at the school."

Walking toward her, the lights following him, "so, I got my illusions, what kind of gifts do you have?" The lights continued to circle about them both, they were pretty, beautiful even.

"You're a goddess?" He chuckled, "I'm just a vampire, we're pretty common among the supernatural." Tilting his head, the lights reversed their spinning and shifted their colors, "I'm happy you like my illusions," as he spoke they turned into what looked like stars, "I can make pretty much any lite effects."

His grin widened as she showed him his shapeshifting power, "that's incredible," he stepped closer to get a better look at her lion form. He had another form, but it was anger induced and rather unpleasant. "All those animals, that's really useful."

Focusing, he made the lights vanish, "I had a youtube channel for a while, using my illusions to make funny videos. It's been a while, but I'm trying to get back into it." He motioned yo the camera.

"Yea, it can be a lot of fun," it'd been one of many things that he'd missed, one of the few things from his old life he was able to have back. "I'm able to use my powers, people off island just think it's special affects," he laughed a little, his channel had been pretty popular before everything had fallen apart.

He tilted his head curiously and looked from her to the camera and back again, an idea forming in his head. "So, beautiful Celeste, would you like to be in my video?" he asked with a charming smile, "it'd have to be Manta Carlos exclusive since shapeshifting is harder for people to buy than flashing lights, but it'll be fun."

The swirling lights re-appeard around Celeste and started to swirl around her, "it can get a bit boring doing it by myself, and it'll be nice having a friend wit me.
