APPEARANCE
You could tell immediately that Katy and Sissel are blood siblings. Usually mostly so because of their clothes; both siblings wear a soft, red scarf with some plaid designs; and also a black hoodie with stripes. Both pieces are quite sentimental to Katy, and so she's not often seen without them. However, that's not the only similarity between the two. Both have brownish eyes that turn gold when using telekinetics. They also both have quite fair skin, though Katy is slightly more tan than her brother. The two both have light hair, though Katy's is more blonde, as opposed to Sissel's white; however both's hair are usually somewhat messy. She is on the shorter side for her age, at 5 ft 1.
PERSONALITY
Kaitlyn is outgoing and pretty social, and will often be the one to greet people first. Kait is kind and usually calm, along with cheerful. While not usually reserved, she does think a lot and generally keeps these thoughts to herself. She is somehow both clumsy and perceptive, although doesn't really realize that she's smart. Kaitlyn enjoys the outdoors, and likes to bike and be outside often. One of her particularly favorite hobbies is books, and reads whenever possible.
POWERS
Telekinesis. Like her brother and father, Katy is a psychic. She inherited her father's telekinetics, though they are slightly weaker than her brother's due to the age difference, and difference of time to practice. She may manipulate (change motion of; stop or start motion of) an object weighing up to 80 pounds. She may manipulate up to 90, but doing this for extended periods of time (>1 minute) will cause her to drop the object and be forced to take a break. In a life-or-death situation, Katy may be able to spike her energy up to manipulate 150 pounds, but only for approximately half a second, after which she will lose her effect on the object and become extremely tired. Needless to say, she's never done this spike before, and doesn't often push beyond her limit of 80 pounds. Even then, she doesn't lift heavy objects much, so her telekinetics are generally only used on quite light objects for the sake of convenience.
Telepathy. Kaitlyn may establish temporary two-way telepathy connections between herself and another, in which the participants may send thoughts and emotions. She may ONLY do this with herself and another person at a time (though training may allow her to do a three-way telepathic connection). The connection may last for up to five minutes, after which Katy will get a migraine and break the connection. She may hold it for longer, but the headache will get worse and worse; she may extend it to up to an 8-minute connection before she's forced to break it and have a bad headache for the remainder of the day. Range limitations are this: if someone is within 50 feet and conscious, she may establish a connection. This limit cannot be pushed; she cannot create a further connection at the expense of energy (though the range may be expanded with training). Although, she doesn't usually use this power without permission on people she doesn't know, to be polite.
HISTORY
Kaitlyn grew up with her brother Sissel and their mother and father. She was so happy living with her big brother, and, needless to say, looked up to him a great amount. She lived with Sissel for just a short while, however, because at the age of 7, Kaitlyn was taken quite a far ways away to live with her father. As a parting gift, Kaitlyn was given a hoodie and scarf from her mother, both of which were far too long for the child at the time. (The same two items [in a different size] were given to Sissel as a parting gift, so the siblings could identify each other on MC) She was told that when she fit into them perfectly, something special would happen. Indeed, once the articles finally fit, Katy was given the opportunity to go to Manta Carlos. She agreed, partly because she knew her brother may be there. She was pretty lost, just wandering around the island, until she saw someone with an identical scarf and hoodie. She went up to the boy, and immediately recognized him. The siblings were reunited.
Additional Information:
-Kaitlyn loves to read, and will do it anytime she has a book on her and isn't busy. She prefers fiction, but will occasionally read other things.
