Aliens, strange mental images, other lives. Now it was all starting to make sense. Suddenly, the gap in his memory sounded just that little bit less terrifying than it was an hour ago or so.

"Wet... Dog food... Try it." Neil repeated the words almost like he was in a trance. "Wait, did you mean that I have to taste the dog food and find out what's the best?" Oh god, no! Then again, if it meant that he'd get some sort of answers, maybe it would be worth it. It was just food, right? Dogs ate it perfectly happily. Maybe he should try it too, in true Ravenclaw fashion. For science!

"Is she a fan of dogs? Or something?" He supposed it didn't seem too crazy to have a queen make humans try her dogs' food before she fed it to them. After all, kings had food testers back in the day in Ancient China. Some people might just really, really like dogs, though he couldn't fathom the possibility that someone might think dogs were more important than people.

"Thank you by the way... Mi-- Aurora." Neil bit his tongue. God, he'd almost forgotten his manners here.

"Just do it. I know it sounds strange. I gave the Queen a corgi as a mount. Something about Celtic traditions or something, and I thought it would fit. I imagine them trying to find food for the thing is difficult."

Honestly, Aurora had not exactly thought the dog thing over too well. Adularia had been pleased with it, but after leaving, had realized that a Corgi may as well have been a wild beast to her kingdom. The damage that could have been done was immense. That said, Adularia was a being of immense willpower. If she commanded that pup to sit, it would sit faster than any human telling it to.

Aurora finally continued on with her coffee.

"You're very welcome. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for in due time. Just...yeah okay, that was a bit cheesy, but you get the point. You're here for a reason. It just takes some time to find. If you've ever got issues, I'm almost always here to talk. Or in the auditorium. One of the two."

That would probably be the end of that conversation. Aurora sat back down in her chair, and pulled a tome on temporal anomalies and transcendent beings. Apparently there was more work to look through before they talked again. Probably about the heavier stuff he'd soon learn about.

"A... Corgi mount." Was it a really big corgi, or was she a really small queen? Neil wanted to ask more questions, but he decided that he'd probably overstayed his welcome at this point. Aurora sat down in her chair across from him, flipping through a heavy tome. He took that as his cue to leave. Neil stood up from his seat, giving her a nod.

"Thank you so much Aurora. See you around." With that, he left the room, mind swimming with far more questions than answers.
