The "wolf" looked at the flames as they danced before it. His yellow gaze settled on the man who threw the sword and the coyote who ran into the clearing. It bared its long, sharp teeth at the man and seemed to be making a battle plan to take out all three of them.

Maddie ran straight to Bandit and stayed beside him. Bandit wagged his tail, but only briefly. His attention was focused on this wolf, and now with Maddie near, Bandit's head lowered in protection of her.

The "wolf" roared, a sound that should have come from a lion and not a wolf. It turned and ran straight for the man who had thrown the sword and blocked it from its meal. It was evident this creature wouldn't stop until it was killed.

Kan watched the wolf concentrating his power as the wolf began to try to scare his foes. Most likely debating whats the bigger threat. But he was ready for anything as the moment grew so did his power. Waiting to see what one to unleash. The creature ran towards him he smiled .Ha, he thought he was the most threatening.
As the wolf charged he drew out his flame shield this time forming it around his whole body. The flames themselves seemed to be even deadlier then the forest fire from earlier. though this was all he could do at the moment. He would see how much endurance this wolf had if it could with stand something that could give 3rd degree burns on touch. Imagine what it do if the wolf grabbed his arm he be hurt for sure but more damage would obviously fall on the wolf from the constant flames.

The "wolf" yowled when it's nose first touch the shield of fire. It tried to stop, but it had been moving too fast to do so.

In the next second, it's entire upper half was burned. It pulled back, and before it could make another sound, the creature fell on its side, breathing heavily and whining.

Maddie stopped growling and whined at the now pitiful creature. Bandit stayed between her and the "wolf", his head low and his teeth bare. He made no sound.

Kan made a small sigh as he looked towards the other wolfs and shoke his head. He couldn't leave the animal in this much pain it was time to end its suffering. A small spark light up in his hand has a bright light escaped from it strike the animal with a lighting bolt as a loud thunder escaped when it hit. Electricity flowed through it killing it instantly. It was no point on letting it lie there and something will come along to eat it or something. He looked to the other dogs and waved them to follow him out of the forest.

" We shouldn't stay here much longer. Something will smell the meat and come this way or worse a pack of them. I doubt this was the alpha male and most dogs in wild travel in packs correct me if im wrong."

Maddie jumped at the sudden bolt of lightening. She leaned her shoulder to Bandit's. Bandit's shrewd eyes took in Kan. Everything pointed to him being the new threat here.

Maddie didn't listen to Kan's command at first, but when she did, she did so quickly. Bandit was right beside her, trying to keep her from getting too close to Kan.

His eyes never left the man.

As they walked back towards the lake towards the open path they were on before. he gave a small sigh of relief when he watched the lake come into view. The two dogs seemed to be watching him intently and alert. Hmm he thought maybe something to calm them down. Why the girl didn't change back was beyond him. The threat of danger was gone was the other dog a person too? Her brother perhaps? Maybe they felt more protected in that form well they would do much before then the odd looking wolf. But the tension had to die down.

"Don't worry I only attack when threatened. I only finished off that wolf because it would be bad to let it slowly die in pain wouldn't you think? its wounds were to bad to recover from.As long as you don't attack me i promise i wont harm you in any way and I feel silly talking to two dogs."

Maddie shifted back mid-step.

"I just..." she began. What could she say? She had she never seen someone or something die? That was a lie, but she still wasn't used to the sight.

"It's hard seeing something die," she said tearfully.

Bandit snorted, leaning harder against her leg. he still wouldn't let her get more than an arms distance from Kan.

He laughed a bit as he watched the other dog be a bit protective of her. " You know your friend can change back to or is he that scared of me?" He looked at the other dog they ran after though he found it odd if this dog was like her why worry so much family member or lover perhaps? Not very sure as they fine hit the main path. He smiled pointing in the direction he came. "Your welcome to come along this way is back to the academy which im pretty sure your from like me?"

Maddie shook her head as she ran a hand through Bandit's fur. "He's just a dog." She had to explain that a lot around here. It always felt weird for her to think that other's might assume Bandit was like her.

She followed Kan back to the academy. "Yeah, I'm pretty new to the area. I mean, I already set up my dorm and stuff, though."
