"W-what? No, don't leave!" He moved towards her as she began to back out.

Let me take control.
Err..wha-
Now.

While Corona was generally much more polite and the switch of personalities was typically a mutual decision, it was forced this time. His eyes flashed golden for a second as Corona took mental control. The change in personality was quite obvious, as he became a lot more mature and calm looking.

"..Arwen?"

Arwen paused, and looked up at him, just in time to see his eyes change color for a moment. And then his entire countenance changed. Her face became confused, and she stared at him for a moment, unsure of what to do with this change. "Yes.. That's my name.." she said quietly, uneasily, suddenly feeling very nervous and put on the spot. She returned her gaze to the floor.

She shifted her weight, feeling very awkward. She'd seen lots of personality shifts, but this one, it was as though he knew her, how he'd said her name. But it didn't make any sense. It was very, very confusing. She played with her hair again, trying to get rid of the unease that was rising within her.

He seemed unsure of what to do, he seemed to know who she was, but it all seemed so strange.

"It.. It's Corona... do you remember?" He looked at her with worry, almost as if he didn't expect her to say yes. Paul continually questioned Corona at this point, but like always he never answered. He was really starting to believe that Corona was more than just some other personality. Was Corona an actual living being?

Arwen's breath caught in her throat in a sort of gasp. Her head jerked up, and she looked up at him. The look on her face said she remembered. "But.. You.. I..." she swallowed, her voice weak, "How?" she had been confused before. But now, now she was even more confused. She was struggling to remain calm, confusion and recognition mixing on her face.

Really, how's one supposed to react if somebody they knew 1000 years ago suddenly popped up.

"Uhh.. it's a long story. Right now, I'm in this kid's body. I'm training him." He walked over so that he stood right next to her. "How did you get here? I thought.. you were gone..." he looked at her with sorrow in his eyes.

Paul had also gone berserk at this point, he kept trying to get Corona to tell him what was going on. He didn't have much luck in that department, though.

Her eyes filled with tears, but they never overflowed. "I don't even understand it. They poisoned me. I was dying, I know I was. But then, something happened. I don't remeber how. I just," she swallowed. She was speaking nonsense. She knew she was. Even after living for 1000 years, it didn't make sense. It was illogical. "I just, woke up four weeks later in the middle of nowhere, unable to touch anything. Just, existing." she met his sorrow-filled eyes with eyes much the same, and held his gaze for a moment, before looking away, trying very hard not to cry.

Live long enough, and emotions get to people.

He held his hand up to her cheek, only for it to go right through. He seemed quite annoyed with this, he forgot that he only could have done that if he was in his own body, a mortal body such as Paul's didn't have the affinity to the spiritual plane like he did.

"It may have been some sort of demonic poison. They are known for being made purely for torture, especially beyond death."

Her chin quivered when his hand went through her. A tear tracked down her face, but it never dropped. It just disappeared. "Where did you go? After I was..gone? I tried to get back, but you weren't there." her shoulders sagged, and she took a shakin breath. "Every once and a while, I touch something, but it always goes away. I always go back to this state." she was fighting for control, trying desperately not to let another invisible tear fall. It was a bad day. Maybe it was the rain.

He looked away and crossed his arms, trying to recall what happened one-thousand years ago.

"The poison had already taken your vitals when I caught up to you, I couldn't do anything. Not even Elazul(*))could cure it. " His eyes widened, then he relaxed, closing his eyes. "I remember.. that was the day I meant Rath(**). I ended up chasing him across half the world, it was then that we fought, and he beat me pretty badly. He then decided to try and take my mind, but my mind was stronger.. and I did the only thing I could, I sealed him away within my own mind.."

Corona sighed, those were pretty bad days for him. How many people had been slaughtered when he lost control of Rath.. he didn't know..

"Rath eventually broke free. But not only that, he turned against Satan. He actually rounded up his own team of demons and attacked Hell. The Material Plane went haywire and the humans became even more corrupted than they already were."

(* Elazul is another Arch-Guardian, similar to Corona. Elazul is much older, however, and is/was Corona's best friend and mentor. Arwen would have met him a few times, as well.

** Rath is short for De'Rathazamazillion, a powerful greater demon and one of Satan's lieutenants. Throughout Corona's story, he was the major enemy. At one point, he breaks away from Satan, believing that he should be lord of darkness. A three-way fight began between him, Hell, and Heaven. This left a great scar on the world and caused humans to become alot more corrupted than they already were, resulting in the world as it is now)

She bowed her head, eyes closed. She allowed his words to wash over her, remembering moments of fitful waking when either Elazul, or Corona were there. She never was able to say anything.

When he spoke of Rath, she opened her eyes again, and looked at him. "I saw the change. It frightened me." she said quietly, almost afraid to break the silence once he was finished speaking. "It suddenly took them so much more to be happy. And they never seemed to be satisfied. I came here because it was different. There was a different feel to it all."

She suddenly became aware of the chill around her, and with that awareness came the realization that she was suddenly tangible. She reached out a hand, and touched his shoulder tentatively, finding that her hand didn't go through him, but rather rested there. She was momentarily frozen, amazed that she was touching him. She couldn't drag her eyes from her hand, the disbelief obvious on her face. This happened once and a while, when she was tangible for even a few minutes, but it amazed her every time. After all, what were minutes in a 1000 year life?
