Hudson is generally a laid back, honest, and upbeat person even if he can also be rather sarcastic at times. While he may not be all that keen on trusting folks right off the bat he will always strive to be polite to them unless the show him they deserve otherwise. People seem to think him shy though, as he doesn't generally say much unless invited to and even then he just says his piece and moves on. He doesn't often make many friends wherever he goes, but Hudson does treasure the few he does make and will do anything for them. Growing up in the parries he likes wide open spaces for the most part and colder weather, as it sometimes can reach up to -50 Celsius in those long Saskatchewan winters.
Hudson also has a few little flaws about his personality, one of the major ones being a sever case of Hemophobia, a fear of blood, and the other being a split personality disorder. Whenever he is forced to confront this fear in extreme cases, or even sometimes in moments of great stress, this secondary personality can take over. While it seems to share the same name it actually prefers to be called simply “The red right hand”. This personality seems to be a more vicious, pragmatic, and even sadistic version of Hudson as it is willing to do whatever it takes to get what it wants. This includes, but is not limited to, sacrificing the people it may consider allies, never friends, and every flat out lying through his teeth.
RRH;
Worst Memory: When things go dark and he is forced to sleep.
Best Memory: The first time he awoke in a class room full of play things.
Likes: Causing trouble, creating a bit of chaos now and then, getting his own way.
Dislikes: Just about everyone not him.
Weaknesses: Hot headed, quick to act and slow to think.
Strengths: Pragmatic, will do what it takes.
Fears: Eventually being erased and ceasing to exist.
Habits/Hobbies: Whatever catches his fancy at the time.
Skills / Talents: Does causing trouble count?
Powers: Blood Manipulation – Hudson has the power to control and shape his own blood. The draw back of this power is that he can not use any blood but only his own, drawing it out of his body through cuts or wounds, and taking too much or pushing himself too far can lead to rather unpleasant things. These can be as simple as mere dizzy spells or fainting, but in the most extreme case it can also lead to his death.
Branches:
Blood whips- The easiest thing for him to do is form his blood into whip like tendrils, usually from the palm of his hands, to use as weapons. As long as they remained attached he can call the blood back into him but if they are severed they loose their form and generally can not be recalled weakening him.
Blood Crystallization- He takes some of his blood and forms it solid objects such as keys, bladed weapons, cups, and the like. When asked to describe it he usually says “Think of it like the T-1000. Nothing with moving parts, nothing that requires complex chemical formulas and the like.” He generally has to have seen before, have knowledge of it, or has personally come into contact with himself. Again this is lost blood and can not be recalled and the more he uses/the more objects he creates the weaker he gets.
Blood Purification: Due to his control over his own blood as well as his increasing knowledge of biology and chemistry Hudson has been able to learn how to filter out foreign substances such as poisons and viruses. Due to his lack of knowledge in these fields though he seems to be restricted to the most common types and anything more exotic then say Cyanide or Belladonna might pose a challenge for him.
Discovered when: During a class.
Discovered how: Cut himself badly during a biology lesson, the sight of so much blood caused him to star to freak out and the blood to react to this. He then blacked out and does not remember much else about it.
How/Why they have it: Potentially passed on to him by his parents via military testing done to them while in the service of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Biography:
Both of Hudson's parents served in the Canadian Forces and, unknown to him and each other, both underwent experimental chemical trails. While they were told that it was to test out new vaccines and the like to use in the field against biological weapons what the Canadian government was actually trying to do was enhance their military members, to give them all special abilities. Sadly the project seemed to have failed and no visible results where found, though these tests would leave their marks on the members. The volunteers were all eventually released back to their units.
Petty Officer Second class Liam Ward was posted to the HMCS Algonquin where he met Captain Oliva Graves, and over a nine month deployment they got to know each other better. Two years later they got married and soon after they had a child they named Hudson Michael Ward. Whatever had been done to his parents would alter Hudson in ways that would remain unknown to them until much later in life.
Retiring from the military his parents moved to a small farm on the outskirts of Regina, Saskatchewan where Hudson would spend most of his childhood and teen years. It was a relatively normal life for him, right up until he was about to finish high school.
After he graduated high school Hudson attended a private school program in an attempt to boost his grades to get a better chance of getting into college. His desire to do so was driven by the fact that he did not want to stay on the farm or join the military like his parents had, and college was his ticket out of this.
One day during a biology lesson there was an accident, though exactly what happened remains fuzzy to him still, and Hudson received a couple rather sever cuts on his right arm and hand. He know it was bad as he started to bleed profusely at that point and he started to get very light headed. Something strange happened as the blood, instead of falling to the ground, seemed to hang onto his arm and moving with him. This caused Hudson to start freaking out and waving his arm about, which only caused the blood to react even more to his emotional state. He has no clue what happened at this point as he blacked out and then woke up hours later only to see the class room wrecked and somewhat bloody. All the told him of this event was that they had decided not to press charges but he wasn't allowed back.
This event was what caused four of the most vital things about his life;
1) He learned there was something different about him.
2)He started to suffer from a sever case of Hemophobia
3) He decided to major in biology, with a chem minor, to figure out exactly what the hell did this to him.
4) A split personality was created, one he is not aware of but it is acutely aware of him. This personality only comes out when he is under dire emotional stress, though his time in control does seem to be limited.
After attending therapy for a few years Hudson learned some coping techniques to deal with his Hemophobia, but they usually only tend to work in some conditions and never in anything he might consider 'high stress'. After this the decision was made to go to college and learn everything he could to either better control his affliction, or possibly even cure it.
While searching for the best school to study biology at he came across one in particular that might also help with his little problem. It was an academy on some island off in the pacific and it held a lot of promise, plus it was far enough away from home that he could consider it an adventure as well!
