Fortunately for Agnes, she didn’t find herself waiting for too long. After a couple minutes, the door opened, and a guard walked inside, escorting another detainee into the visitor’s room. Tomoe had changed little in the months Agnes had been off the islets. She regarded the vampire with the same resting bitch face she regarded everyone she met, before silently sliding into the chair across from her. She rested one arm on the table, the nullification bracelet strapped to her arm, and rapidly tapped a finger against the tabletop, a small tick to let out some of the agitation she felt while locked up.
“You know I thought I’d be getting through this entire sentence without any visitors. You ruined my streak.” She said, sarcastically. Truthfully, there had been visitors in the initial years, cops trying to get an extra confession out of her, reporters wanting a scoop. But she didn’t have anyone waiting for her to get out on the other side, no one who vaguely cared enough to visit.
It was, admittedly, kinda nice.
“You seem well,” She added after a small beat.
