Tao had been on the cops radar, so he hid in plain sight, as a generic studious student, thankfully he liked and was good at school. He continued this act well after he felt safe, believing he had put a competent employee to keep things going. It was better to be safe then sorry. He however was a creature of balance, much like the yin yang symbol, he craved that perfect equilibrium between good and bad, chaos and order and night and say. Finally he couldn't take it any more, though keeping the goal in mind he made sure he wasn't followed, even if it took longer for him to get there.

Since it was getting dark, people had started to gather, though most of them didn't know who he was, others had moved on and forgotten. He did however like it, Tao walked to the entrance and while not screaming but still quite loudly said "Honey I am home" though aimed at the building and no one in particular. He loved it all, the bloodstains, old and new, the cave in, the shattered glass around where windows had once been. He also loved the odd, arid scent that was a product of dust in the air, tears, sweat, pee from that one corner no one go to and no one seems to know anything about and dirt.

On the way to his office, there where bouncers at the stairs, needles to say, Tao took care of them and piled them in the nasty corner. Finally getting to his room he emptied HIS table and HIS couch from scrap and other dirt. He sat down and just as he was getting comfortable he noticed a mic and remembered he had left his successor with some money to keep things going, this was what he spent it on? to be lazy? Anyway, Tao turned it on and hit it with his finger lightly twice before saying "I am home". Now he just had to wait for a friendly face.

Deith had been lurking around. He's been gone from the island for a whole year, and when he returned it no longer felt as if he could come back as an active member, but he often went to the fighting pits either as a participant or as a spectator.

He was a spectator this time, and he was bored to death.

But then the speakers roared to life, and a sentence was uttered by a voice so familiar that Deith knew who it was right away. So he made his way past the crowds and followed the trails of bodies lying around up to that one dark room where he used to spend a lot of time after club hours.

"Boss!" he called just as soon as he barged into the door. It was Tao, their founder, his boss, his cute little kid boss that was badass, and it felt really great to see him again. That was why without even thinking about it, Deith pulled him into a hug and even nuzzled his head a little bit. "I missed you, boss! I was wondering where you went of to after I left. So you're still here."

This was good. Tao was one of the people from his past that he liked, so Deith was bubbly and giddy seeing him. Unlike when he saw Sid.

An underground fight club was probably not the lace to find any friendly faces, you where more likely to see brutes, most whom had scars or broken noses. Granted, there where not only brutes, though the majority of them would be there as a spectator or betting. Then there where the odd ones who looked innocent with no apparent scars or sign of combat, sometimes even frail looking and some of them would even surprise of most and dominate the ring.

Tao had his legs on his tiny table and his arms behind his head, sitting somewhat comfortable in the old dusty couch when Deith came in. He didn't get to do much more then to stand up before he was hugged. Needless to say, he returned the hug, not afraid to linger a bit.

"I missed you too" The sight of Deith filled Tao with nostalgi. Tao hit Deith's back twice, not hard or to injure but to signal that he would stop hugging soon.

"They where on to me, I had to play nice and not lead the pigs to my.. our home. A year or so later I didn't notice any shadows or other activities from the cops but I assumed they had become more smart. I felt safe a half year ago but stayed silent until now, just in case."

It didn't take long before there where a gathering behind Deith who thought Tao was there to take over. They where like an angry mob, that started to get loud, all that was missing was torches and hay forks. The one Tao had left in charge, someone he had thought to be competent wasn't and probably hiding once he knew Tao was back to see his shitty work. At least the place was still running.

Deith pulled away after being patted on the back. He knew the kid wasn't going to hug him as sweetly or warmly, Tao wasn't the sweet kind after all, but Tao was honest, and his words ND that dry hug was everything Deith needed. Still, he pouted, seemingly disappointed, but only to tease his boss a little bit.

"I see," Deith nodded. The cops were always a bad thing; maybe he should try to set up some illusions around the building for more protection-- at least during the group's activities at night while the members are around-- though he had to admit such a task was going to be difficult to do. "So, boss, what n--"

The mob of fighters arrived just before their conversation can continue to a more profession-oriented topic. Deith turned around, a seemingly innocent shocked expression on his face. "What?" he asked the mob. He smiled. "Is this our warm welcome back greeting? Well? Is it?"

Expecting what was to come next, Deith pulled a small sheathed knife from his pocket, then pulled off the sheath. He looked at Tao. "What now, boss?"

A fire grew in Tao's eyes as he averted his eyes from Deith and focused them on the mob "We crack skulls and light some fire", the words echoed with rage, Tao hadn't seen Deith or his home for a long time, pissed that their reunion was interrupted, with a mob of HIS people.

Saving half of a mob for Deith was hard enough because a mob was just that, a mob and not an army. Making sure to leave half, more or less, because surely Deith would also be angry. The next problem was not to burn the joint to the ground, which proved just as hard for someone with the spirit of the phoenix residing in them.

Stopping in the middle of the brawl to stomp on someone "Stay.. Where.. You.. Are..",kicking the flames out for every word spoken, again, because he didn't want to torch the place down and he had managed to hurl the guy with a flame. Then there was the idiot just charging him but went down as soon as he came within reach "Really?".

Tao seemed to manage doing the 'light some fire' bit, so Deith automatically assigned himself to cracking skulls. He shrugged, a grin on his face, and began his task once at a time. With the help of illusions, Deith made the people disoriented enough for him to get to each of them without problems. And then, he pulled out a knife from his pocket, getting rid of the sheath quickly, and jumped at all the people Tao was kind enough to set aside for him, stabbing them anywhere in the head before twisting the knife, in order to crack their skulls, literally.

The place was a serious mess. Then, Deith threw his knife to someone who was charging head on towards Tao, and that was the last of them. Tired and panting, Deith slowly made his way to retrieve the bloody knife near Tao.

He smiled at the kid, remembering the time they just met, and they caught themselves in a similar situation. "Don't frown so much, you'll look old," he said and laughed lightheartedly as he patted his boss' head. He jumped away before the chance for Tao to even react came.

"So," Deith shrugged once more, and gestured at the mess. "Any ideas about cleaning these up? You know, without burning the place down."
