When Broen suddenly appeared inches before her with a challenging smirk - waiting almost like he was about to pounce, Zora felt herself slowly grinning back at him, almost like daring him to and meeting his gaze, holding it and not flinching or moving at all, ready for him. "Go on... do it," she said her voice low as she dared him to touch her.

Broen's hand went for Zora's throat while he grabbed for her wrist to keep her from pushing him away. He was still under orders to attack her at random, and damn if this wasn't a good opportunity.

And he was going to need two minutes to get hold of her powers anyway. One minute to get rid of Kaiju's powers, during which time he shook and sweated and looked in pain. Then he'd need another thirty seconds to copy Zora's powers.

But possibly longer if she fought back. She better damn well fight back. Or else he might actually start strangling her. Make it really scary.

Getting in the habit of expecting the unexpected with Broen, Zora was surprised for half a second when he grabbed her by the throat suddenly and randomly attacked her.

"You...bastard..." she growled, her eyes flashing with surprised anger as Zora leant back a little and then lifted her legs up and kicked him in the stomach, off of her, breaking Broen's hold on her. Zora then threw the towel at him, and scrambled up and over the sun lounger, and darted away from him across the deck. Her lessons with Rory starting to finally take hold.

"Good work," he said, catching a kick to the stomach. However, he didn't budge like Zora might have expected. Courtesy of Rory's new powers he'd borrowed. He grinned and decided to test them out in full. Broen teleported, tackling Zora.

But before the two of them could hit the wooden deck floor, his feet lifted off the ground and the two of them were flying. Not high, but high enough. "Careful now. Don't wanna fall, do we?"

Zora actually let out a tiny scream of surprise when Broen suddenly tackled her, fully bracing herself to hit the deck hard. But when she realised in awe, a moment later, that they were airborne, she reacted fearfully by throwing her arms around Broen neck and held herself tightly against him. "You don't play fair, do you?" Zora glared, not exactly mad at him, just very surprised by his trick - that and she was not exactly comfortable with heights.

"Playing fair is playing to lose, Zora. I don't play to lose." He held her in the air for the requisite thirty seconds, moving so that they were over the pool before dropping.

The both his the water with a splash and he laughed when they broke the surface. "Calm down Zora I know it's me, but you're soaking wet."

Zora came up sputtering when Broen dropped them into the water in the pool, "You don't play to lose, huh?" Zora said with a smirk,"Well, neither do I..." she stated, looking at him evilly, right before she dove quickly underwater and knocked his feet out from under him before swimming away quickly and resurfacing a few feet away.

Broen let Zora get away, flipping over in the water until he was right side up. When he breached the surface, he threw his hand forward and cast a spell. The water in front of Zora froze, blocking her path. He smirked. "Fuckin' water witch. Really?"

He wiggled his fingers at Zora, grinning like the jackass he was. "Back home, we called witches and wizards like you party magicians."

Zora stopped in her tracks when the water froze in front of her, she knew her own magic, there was a signature to the spell. She turned around quickly, and eyed Broen suspiciously. He obviously had her powers, knew how to use them - and what did he just call her?

"Did you just call me a party magician?" she asked raising an eyebrow not sure if she should be amused or offended.

"Impress me, if you can... What else can you do with the magic, magician boy?" Zora challenged him, and smiled, knowing her magic better than him and wanting to see just how well he could use her magic.

"Well, let's see..." Broen searched his mind for what all this new magic could do. He grinned and uttered another incantation, creating a small whirlpool underneath Zora to briefly drag her under. But he felt a sudden pain as his hand froze solid, encased in ice. He frowned. Something was wrong.

"What the fuck..."
