Private Finished How do you stay so strong?

As Zora swam laps in the pool, she felt the water flow over her as she moved through the cool water, enjoying the feeling of buoyancy as she dove under the water, all the while freeing her mind of all that had happened throughout the day just letting her mind wander. And as it wandered, Zora found herself thinking and worrying about her own powers - again. This bothered her more than she'd wanted to admit.

Shaking these thoughts away as she glided easily through the water, Zora started thinking about others people abilities, often comparing them to her own, especially Broen's and how he had often mentioned finding new power sets or finding people with certain abilities, and these comments, if she were honest, had left her wondering exactly what he could do. She knew he had lots of stamina, was strong, could teleport and that he could become very tiny, but the rest of his abilities were a mystery to her.

Coming to the edge of the pool, she dove and turned underwater, pushing herself forward off the wall, did another lap, and stopped, then she climbed out of the water, grabbed her towel, wrapped it around her waist and walked barefoot across the deck, still thinking about his powers, absorbed in her own thoughts so much that she had forgotten that Broen was probably somewhere near - he was always somewhere close by lately...

Zora just looked up at Broen, when he appeared at her side, still lost in her thoughts. She had become so used to him just appearing suddenly beside her - at first, his teleporting had annoyed her, made her jump even from the unexpectedness of it. Glancing at the drink Broen offered her, she looked at him gratefully and accepted it with a nod of thanks.

"Actually, I was thinking about you," Zora admitted as she sat down on one of the sun loungers and took a sip of the piña colada. It was delicious - not too overly sweet and with just the right amount of booze. She´d even venture a guess he had used fresh pineapple by what she was tasting.

"And if I could ask you something somewhat personal?" Zora said as she put her drink beside her on a small table, hoping he´d not mind.

Zora actually smiled at his reaction. She had hoped he'd say yes, even begrudgingly, like right now. Watching Broen take a seat next to her, Zora looked at him curiously for a moment, searching his face.

"Don´t worry it´s not anything too personal. I know you don´t like to talk about yourself too much. But, well, some people are funny about things like their abilities." she explained as she looked at his hands, "I wanted to know what is it that you can do exactly? I know you can teleport and change sizes..." she admitted.

"But you talk about gaining power sets and stuff. What exactly do you mean by that?"

Zora listened carefully to Broen talk. It sounded fascinating what he could do. She hadn't quite heard of anyone having such an ability like that before. At least, not to the extent Broen claimed that he did.

Feeling him suddenly leave her side, Zora watched Broen, in surprise, transform a few feet away, visibly impressed, shocked, by what she was seeing. He had literally become a giant reptilian type creature.

"So you know what your friend can do? All his magic, abilities too... Could you tell if an ability your friend had, wasn't being used properly too?" she inquired with interest as she looked Broen up and down, still in a bit of shock at what she was seeing.

"I do have a point... and perhaps a favour to ask of you," Zora agreed, watching as Broen returned to his human form.

"Since a little before I came to the island, my magic has not been quite,..." here she stopped and searched for a word as she fixed her gaze on him,"... It has not been reliable. It varies in intensity and is almost uncontrollable at times. Chaotic might be a good word for it." she said with a sigh as she took up her drink again and had a sip before continuing.

"I guess what I'm asking you is can you, maybe, take a look at them, see why I can't control them?" Zora asked Broen hesitantly. "I don't know if it's me ... or the magic itself, or a combination of both, and it's been bothering me forever." she confessed feeling a bit out of sorts now, even dismayed, having to admit to Broen exactly how vulnerable she actually was at the moment.
