How coincidental.

Catherine was silent. She looked at him, not making a single sound. She had nothing more to say. She had tried, and she had tried her hardest but it seemed that it just wasn't going to work. "I'll at least apologize for yelling at you before," she told him.

Catherine sighed inwardly, not agreeing or disagreeing to that. It would be so hard to pretend not to have known him. He had been the first child of her own age that she had talked to, and after all she had gone through to help... it seemed almost cruel to forget about him. She looked back to Jira and Alexiel, not knowing what to do or say now.

Alexiel looked at Jira and nudged him slightly. She narrowed her eyes, trying to give a look that said 'comfort her'.

Alexiel whacked him hard again. "Help her," she said through gritted teeth. He had taken her in, she looked up to him, and he wasn't even helping?! It made her sick. Just because he had had a bad childhood didn't mean Catherine had to have one.

Catherine just looked at the two, still unsure of herself.

Catherine sighed. She walked toward the school, knowing that she had to take the exam. She entered the building and walked into the classroom, taking a seat and not bothering to look at anyone. She just wanted to take the test and get out of there.

Alexiel growled as Catherine walked away and hit Jira once again. "You can't even be responsible, can you?" she stated through gritted teeth.

Catherine sighed when she heard their whispers and she shut her eyes tightly. Only use your powers when it's an emergency, she kept repeating in her head. She wouldn't use her powers... not now, at least.

She started her exam, doing it as quickly as she could. She skipped over the reading parts, going to go back to them later. She struggled with it, after all, so she would do what she knew how to do first and go back to the hard parts later.

When Soahc handed his paper in, she looked up slightly. He hadn't even tried, had he?

She cursed in her head and sniffled. She really didn't feel like hanging around afterward for that party.

The seven-year-old continued with the test, just wishing she hadn't needed to show up to this.
