Catherine didn't go outside either. She stayed in the room, finishing up the notes and questions. Stupid handwriting... it was a pain to try to write neatly.

Cordelia looked at him. "Soahc, do you think it would be possible for me to have a parent-teacher conference with your parent or guardian?" she asked in a low voice so as to keep the conversation completely private.

"Uh...my dad has been really busy this week he hasn't had much time to do anything...maybe another time?" He asked not wanting his dad to know about his grades...that would only have his abuse be much worse...

Cordelia sighed. "It needs to be as soon as possible," she told the boy. "Would it be better if he just called the school or if I called him at work to arrange a conference?" She was smarter than to just believe the 'another time' story.

"I dunno." He wasn't smart enough to go past that note...he was atleast glad that she didn't know about his always being alone and all of that...she was one of the only teachers who had actually cared enough to ask him these questions

"Then I'll call him at work," Cordelia said. The telephone number would most likely be in the student file, as well as the home address. If worse came to worse, then she would just go to his house. His guardian needed to know about the grades, and the mother would make sure it happened. "You can go now if you've finished copying the notes."

He nodded not actually copying a word of the notes because he didn't think it would matter...his best grade was an F really even when he did try his hardest nothing had changed he didn't see a reason to bother anymore

Cordelia sighed. "Did you even bother to copy them?" she asked, standing up to go inspect his books if he didn't tell her. "You should be outside having fun, not in here having to take notes and the like. Copy them, ok?"

Catherine looked at Soahc, sighing inwardly. She just didn't understand it.

He looked down at the notes and then at the board...he didn't see the point...if she did see his grades then he wouldn't actually graduate no matter what he did. And his father couldn't afford summer school so he was going to be stuck beind in this grade.

Cordelia narrowed her eyes. "Copy the notes. NOW," she said. She would be patient just for this one time... yes, demanding for work to be done was her being patient. She looked at him, not going to let him leave the room until he did the work.

He glared at her and didn't touch his pencial...he had no one waiting for him at home why should he do anything anyway. he would rather stay here and do nothing then just go home and be yelled at and awoken.
