How coincidental.

The mother nodded. "Alright, if you're sure..." she said. "Just tell me if you need to go to the nurse or something." With that, Cordelia went to her desk. Everything was under control, and she needed to figure out what kind of assignment to give. She wasn't used to teaching second graders, after all.

Catherine sighed. "Are you SURE we can't touch the torture devices?" she asked, obviously wanting to.

Cordelia gave the girl a glare. "No."

Soahc thought he did something wrong...he kept it to himself though not wanting to make anymore trouble...why did he even go to this stupid school...he didn't fit in anywhere...

Cordelia looked through lesson plans on the computer, then bit her lip. "Do you kids know what matter is?" she asked. That would be a simple thing to teach. She had probably learned what matter was around their age, so hopefully she could either review it with them or actually teach something.

Catherine blinked. Yeah... that was a no. Living on the streets for that long definitely hadn't been beneficial to her, and Tiger hadn't taught her yet what this 'matter' thing was. She turned to look at Soahc. "Do you know?" she asked quietly so as not to get in trouble.

Soahc slumped down in his seat pretending not to hear her or be called on by the teacher...he didn't know anything about science or anyting but reading. Which is ironic...prehaps he did know but he just didn't care

Cordelia blinked. No one in the class knew what matter was? Alright, then... time to get teaching! She went up to the board and grabbed chalk, drawing a box, a glass of whatever, and a balloon. Next to them, she wrote solid, liquid, and gas, then looked around the room. "Anyone wanna guess which one is which? Soahc, you wanna try?"

She was smarter than to leave the kid alone. She was going to make him participate whether he liked it or not.

Soahc just shook his head knowing what was going threw the other students head since it was such an easy question. He only prayed this teacher would just let him off the hook...he hated being the center of attention and still people kept trying to make him talk

Cordelia rose an eyebrow. "Ok then..." she said, deciding that she would, in fact, let him off the hook. She called on someone else to answer, then continued to write on the board. Catherine wrote this down in her notes in such messy hand writing that probably only she would be able to read. Oh, well.

While the twenty-year-old continued writing, she knew that she was going to have to take a look at Soahc's grades. If he wasn't doing well, then she would have to find out why. And if there was a family problem... she would take it upon herself to fix it.

Soahc was tankful but did not show it as he waited for the class to end hoping he wouldn't be called on again. He tried to make himself seem as invisible as possible so that no one would look or call on him

Once she had assigned some questions, Cordelia went into her computer. She started searching students and typed in Soahc's name, looking at the grades that came up. "Oh, dear..." she said quietly to herself. He was failing. That was not good.

Parent-teacher conference time. "Soahc, could you come up to my desk for a second?" she asked, putting an Internet screen up so that he wouldn't see she was looking at his grades.

Soahc blinked...the bell rang signaling for recess...oh well he had no friends anyway...he walked up to her as everyone walked outside ...he didn't care where he went he was usually alone anyway
