Catherine blinked, but slowly nodded her head. "Ok..." she said, then did as he asked her to and went back to training.

Alexiel soon returned with a few different steaks, but she didn't really know if any of them would work. She put a bit of dirt on the ground and put the seed in it, watching as it grew into her plant. She opened one of the packages and looked at the disgusted look on her plants 'face'.

"Why do I feel that this isn't going to work," Alexiel stated with a sigh.

Alexiel doubted cooking it would have a different affect. It seemed that her plant only liked fresh food... it was far too spoiled. She went into the kitchen and started cooking it, though the plant seemed even more repulsed now.

And it seemed to have an eye on Catherine.

A few of its vines moved toward her quickly and snatched the seven-year-old with them. It bound her arms and legs and pulled her toward him by the waist.

The little girl immediately panicked and started squirming around. She couldn't get her limbs loose! She took a deep breath, closing her eyes tightly and then concentrating. The water molecules in the air turned into blood needles and went at the plant. It did seem to be hurt by that, but it didn't stop pulling her.

"Catherine!" Alexiel blinked. This wasn't good, this wasn't good! She took out one of her fans, knowing that it should still be able to cut the vines, even if they weren't whole. However, another vine knocked the fans out of her hands and held her still.

Her eyes went wide. She was able to get out of the plants grip, but she wasn't going to be able to use her fan. The plant had managed to break it.

"Jira, DO SOMETHING!" Alexiel screamed, seeing as how she was powerless.

Jira sighed as before he could actually take a bite out of her a strange tentacles of blood formed from the floor keeping him from opening his mouth having a feeling he couldn't harm anyone if they could not use his teeth. "Let her go or I make sure your teeth fall out." He threatened with an evil glare

The plant was going to reach out and swallow the girl when the blood tentacles kept him from doing so. Upon hearing the threat, a low growling sound came from the ferocious plant and it shook itself, trying to get free. It was no use, though.

"Drop her."

She didn't want him to eat? Well, fine then! The plant let Catherine go, and as soon as she was free, the seven-year-old ran behind Jira, frightened.

Alexiel walked toward her plant and kicked it, watching as it turned back into a seed before grabbing it and putting it back in her pocket. "Sorry. He gets like that once he hasn't eaten in a while," she explained. It wasn't the best explanation, but she didn't really care.

Jira didn't really seem to care as he went back to looking online the tentacle vanishing...he was saving his real abilities still like he was expecting someone or thing to attack them and he wanted as much advantage as possible.

Catherine slowly calmed down after the plant disappeared. She was trembling, though, and she hung her head slightly. Even with powers it seemed she couldn't defend herself. She went into her room, closed the door, and just sat down on her bed, taking out a book. She had difficulty reading, but she didn't exactly feel like practicing anymore.

Alexiel just sighed as she watched Catherine walk off and Jira go back to his computer. That had been rather nonchalant... but then again... now that it was done with she didn't care much either. She wondered if she shook go talk to the girl, and leaned against the counter while doing so.

Jira didn't seem to care as he kept typing things on the computer looking for something obvioulsy not concerned for the girl he did care about keeping her alive but everything else was up to her

Alexiel finally looked at Jira. He probably should have been talking or comforting her. Maybe he didn't care, but the fourteen-year-old personally didn't want another Jira around. One was enough, and that girl would turn out like him if she didn't receive any love... at least, that was her theory.

She walked into Catherine's room and closed the door. The little girl didn't look so happy.

"I can't even defend myself with powers," she said quietly. "Jiwa wasted — "

"Don't even say it," Alexiel said, walking over and sitting on the bed. Tiger was on Catherine's lap, letting her lean the book on him. She hugged the girl; surprisingly, she could be kind and caring when she wanted to be. "You're still just a child. You're doing great with your powers, Cathy. The plant gets stronger when it's hungry, so it's not your fault. So don't worry. And, here, I'll help you with your reading."

And with that, Alexiel started helping the seven-year-old when she came to words she didn't know or couldn't pronounce. It was weird to be caring about a human being... vampire, rather, and this was probably a once in a lifetime event. But Jira wasn't doing anything, so Alex had decided she should.

Jira still didn;t seem to care as he drank some coffee he had made it was cold and black by now but something had definetly caught his intrest...an assasin hiring an assasin would cause them to think of him being a much lighter target
