Wednesday followed after him without complaint. She still seemed a little tense as she walked, in contrast to Sazz's more obviously cheery attitude, but it was mostly her own awkwardness rather than any particular discomfort caused by him. They were just hanging out like regular kids, she had to learn how to feel comfortable with that eventually, she told herself.
She ordered a chocolate milkshake for herself once they arrived, feeling like something sweet for today, before sitting across from him. She peered over his notes while he talked, the contents all felt familiar enough to her. She'd spent years learning magic before arriving here after all, so none of it was particularly new.
“Hmm…I guess you uh, know your stuff then.” She said, giving him a small, approving smile. “Where’d you learn all this? Did you do much study before coming to the island as well?”
She still didn’t want to elaborate on the nature of her problem, but magic was something she felt comfortable discussing. It made conversation easier with a topic she was well versed in.
