"Enelya, pull back on the reins! Tell her to slow down!"

Enelya looked worriedly at Willow, and hoped she wouldn't hurt her, but she pulled back on the reins softly, and Willow slowed down to a trot, and Enelya pulled a bit more, causing her to stop. Enelya leaned down, and asked her if she was okay. "Just because you're a beginner doesn't mean you have to go slow! Have some fun!" Enelya frowned, and shook her head. "I'm not sure I like that idea Willow." The mare neighed, and flailed her head around in a reluncant agreement.

"You shouldn't be going so fast when you're just learning!"

Willow had been kind enough to allow Allen to catch up to them, and Enelya gave Allen an "I'm sorry" look. She bit her lip, and sighed. "I'm sorry Allen, Willow thought it'd be fun to go fast, and well, I wasn't controling her very well. I'm sorry if I scared you." She could see the fear in his face, and tried to reassure him she was fine. "I'm really okay though, just a litlte shaken up." She tried a little embarrassed laugh, and patted Willow lightly.

Allen gave a sigh of relief when he saw Willow had stopped. He slowed his own horse down to a trot until he reached Enelya, at which point he stopped his horse completely next to hers. He took a deep breath, glad that she was alright. She had said she was having fun, but maybe some of this hadn't turned out to be a good idea.

"I'm sorry Allen, Willow thought it'd be fun to go fast, and well, I wasn't controling her very well. I'm sorry if I scared you."

He shook his head. "It's fine..." he said quietly. "But you have to make sure she knows that she can't do that just at random." He looked around, biting his lip before turning back to her. "I'm glad you're ok though."

After a moment, Allen looked at the sky and noticed that it was getting a lot darker, and rather fast for that matter. "It's going to rain...." he said quietly, though he was stating the obvious. "We should probably head back."

Allen arrived, and Enelya offered him a reassuring smile. She'd been a little shaken, and Willow had gone a little crazy, but everything was fine.

"But you have to make sure she knows that she can't do that just at random."

Enelya nodded, and was a bit ashamed a Plant Lady such as herself couldn't control a horse. She patted Willow lightly. "You hear that? Allen says no more random running, okay?" Willow gave an annoyed snort and Enelya glared at her. She mumbled a 'fine,' and looked to the other horse to follow.

"It's going to rain...."

She looked up to the sky and tell that not only was it going to rain, but it was going to probably thunder, and lightning too. That probably wasn't a good idea for a horse... Especially one that already had a wildside. Though as soon as Enelya thought about that, a big crack of lightning shot through the shy, and Willow reared, and Enelya held on for dear life. She let out a scream as she clenched to Willow's reins.

Enelya couldn't even hear the last thing that Allen said as Willow shot off into the forest, she tried pulling at Willow's reins, but she refused to slow down. "Willow!" She screamed, but the frightened horse just wouldn't calm down. It was so spooked, and too stupid to realize nothing was gong to happen to slow down.

Soon they were so deep into the forest, and Willow started to panic just because she didn't know where she was. Enelya tried soothing her with a tree lullaby, or something to help ease her panic, but nothing helped. Willow reared again, and this time, Enelya lost her balance, and couldn't hang on any longer, and fell from Willow's back as she stormed off into the forest. "Willow!!!" She called.

Her back hurt, though she didn't think she had broken anything. She stood, and looked around, unable to tell where she was. These trees seemed to have closed off from Enelya's thoughts for the rain, preparing themselves to absorb as much water as possible. She wrapped her arms around herself, and tried to figure out what to do. Allen was going to be furious she had lost Willow... Not to mention he was going to be worried about her safety...

Allen cursed when the lightning cracked and Enelya's horse took off. His own horse reared, and was going a bit crazy as well, but he had learned how to control a horse long ago. The fact that his horse wasn't as crazy helped the situation quite a bit.

After a moment, he stroked the horses neck and looked to the hoof prints on the ground. He dismounted and took the reins, figuring it would be safer to walk and lead the horse behind him. The last thing he needed was to get thrown off and hurt himself even more than he already was. Damaged lungs were enough, he didn't need back pain for a few days either. Not being able to do a rock scream was devastating as it was.

Today was not one of the greatest days he had had. Enelya had disappeared that morning, and now she was probably in the middle of no where because she had gotten an insane horse. They should have traded when Willow ran off in the first place... he was more experienced and knew how to handle these kinds of things, whereas Enelya didn't. She couldn't even kick the animal, for heavens sake! Sighing, Allen continued on, hoping he would find Enelya before it started raining.

There was thunder and his horse immediately got scared. There was no holding onto it this time, though, since he lost his grip on the reins as it ran off. "So much for that..." the man grumbled, looking at the hoof prints. Rain was beginning to fall, and he started walking faster, since he didn't want the prints to get dissolved because of mud. Plus, he didn't want Enelya to end up getting sick. Not to mention his hair was going to get poofy...

"Enelya?!" Allen finally called out, hoping that if she heard his voice they might find each other sooner. "Enelya, where are you?!"

Great... This was just great. She was lost, it was raining, and she had lost the horse as well. So much for their ride with horses... And picnic. Allen had scooped her up so fast she didn't have the chance to make a picnic for them. But by the looks of the rain, it really wouldn't have mattered anyways.

She had wanted this to be a nice day for the two of them to get their mind off of his hurt lungs, the war, his past, her trust issues, and everything else that seemed to be in teh way of a smiling pair. Perhaps they'd get another chance some other time. But for now, she'd like to get out of the rain. Her hair was soaked, along with her clothes, and her feet were kinda muddy.

Enelya wandered through the woods for quite sometime, thinking she'd give up on being found. If she walked one way long enough, she'd find a way out, right? She just felt bad for possibly abandoning Allen. She knew he wouldn't appreciate that very much at all. Especially with his paranoia and such. Ooh, it made her so angry! That stupid willow! Note to self: Horses are not trustable. Stick to ponies. They are sweeter and much cuter. Period.

The Plant Lady sighed as she continued to walk. No trees were talking to her, for they were too busy absorbing the rain. Her shirt stuck to her skin, and mud squished in-between her toes. Normally she woudn't have minded the feeling, but she really wanted to find Allen...

This was not a great day. His horse was gone, Enelya was gone again, his stomach felt sick from worry, and his black hair was curling and slowly poofing out. He had planned this to be a better experience... and it had turned out to be just the opposite. And, even worse, the hoof prints were getting washed away because of the rain, the mud was sticking to his shoes, and he was absolutely, completely, soaked.

She obviously hadn't heard him call her name, either, since she hadn't replied or run in his direction. Hopefully she hadn't gone to look for him if Willow had bucked her off... both of them searching for each other wouldn't be good. They would just keep moving in circles until one of them finally stopped, but he doubted that would happen, considering they were important to each other. Allen wasn't going to be the one to stop searching... he cared about her too much. What if she was hurt and she needed help? What if she had gotten trampled by that stupid horse?

Eyes narrowed slightly and he started running before the hoof prints completely disappeared, desperate beyond words to find her now. He had slipped a few times and there was mud all over his pants, as well as the back of his shirt from splashing it around. It didn't matter much, though, since clothing could be replaced. Enelya couldn't be, though... she was too genuine for anything to ever take her place in his heart.

After a few minutes of running and coughing because of the strain on his lungs, Allen saw a figure in the distance that relieved him immediately. "ENELYA!" he yelled, not caring about his rock scream, his lungs, or anything other than her right now. He ran faster until he finally collided into her but managing to keep them standing, hugging her tightly and refusing to let her go.

He backed away from the embrace after a moment and shook her shoulders. "I thought I had lost you again!" he shouted, brown eyes seeming moist again. Even if his hair was completely poofed out by now, the humor was gone because of the despaired tone of his voice. "Don't scare me like that, Enelya! Ever again! You should have stayed where you were, I would have found you sooner! Where's the horse? What happened? Are you alright?"

Allen sighed, looking her right in the eye. "I love you, Enelya, and I'd die if something happened to you! Don't scare me like that EVER again!" he shouted, taking a step back and letting her go. He realized every last word that he had just said... and all of it was true, including the fact that he loved her.

After another few mintures of wandering around aimlessly, she heard a rather pained yell. She spun around, and saw Allen there screaming and worried, and she brought her hands to her mouth. She was so glad to see him!

"ENELYA!"

She wrapped her arms around him as the collided, and she squeezed him tight. She thought she would be lost until the storm was over and when the trees would start getting their branches out of their roots! He hugged her as tightly as he could, and she remembered what she had told him about hugging. 'Pending on how much you liked the person is how much you squeeze.' She smiled, and returned the intensity of such a wonderful hug.

Though he soon let go of her, being worried and such.

"Don't scare me like that, Enelya! Ever again! You should have stayed where you were, I would have found you sooner! Where's the horse? What happened? Are you alright?"

Enelya's eyes were wide as he shook her and she wans't sure she'd be able to say anything, she just stood there, gazing into his eyes. They were very pretty eyes... They were getting moist, but you had to look really hard to see, because of all the rain.

"I love you, Enelya, and I'd die if something happened to you! Don't scare me like that EVER again!"

Enelya litterally did a double take. What did he say? He loved her? No... That couldn't be possible! The Tin Man? Possible of love? She couldn't believe it. Especially after the way he'd reacted the other day. What was going on? Her heart seemed to flutter, and she looked at him bewildered. "What...?" She managed to whisper.

Allen smiled when she returned the hug. He hadn't even thought of when she had taught him how to hug and the basic rule of the amount of squeezing being how much you like the person. That had been a rather humiliating experience... but he had come to smile when he remembered it. He smiled whenever he thought of something that had to do with Enelya. Heck, sometimes just the trees made him smile because he knew she could talk to them.

All of his questions and statements remained unanswered, though his mind was too shaken up to realize this completely. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to calm himself. There was no need to be worried anymore. Enelya was here and within an arms reach and he wouldn't let her get any farther than that. He had lost her twice today, and almost a third time when they had first met... a fourth time was not going to be asked for.

"What...?"

Hands found his way to his head and he pulled at his afroized hair, biting his lip. She was questioning what he meant. He hadn't told a woman that he loved her in hundreds of years, or anyone else, for that matter. Ever since Esme had left, he hadn't felt love. He hadn't felt anything... but here Enelya was, bringing all those emotions right back to him. He didn't want to loose those feelings, he didn't want to forget it. But most of all... he didn't want to loose Enelya and drive her away because, after all, there was no guarantee she felt the same.

"I love you, Enelya," Allen said again, fighting himself to look at her and not at the ground. "I haven't felt love in hundreds of years but I know what love is when I see it and... this is it..." The immortal looked at the ground in fear of seeing her reaction. "Enelya, I would tell you all the reasons why... but... I think there's too many to count..." He looked back at her and offered a nervous smile. Hopefully after that kiss she had given him before, he wouldn't wind up being rejected.

"I love you, Enelya,"

Enelya's heart pounded within her chest, and though she probably would have screamed 'I love you too!' Something within her was keeping her from doing so. Though she couldn't stop the huge smile spreading across her face. She listened half-heartedly to the rest of his words, but they didn't matter. Only his first sentence.

He loved her.

She blushed as he went on to explain why he loved her and what not, but... It didn't matter. Love really couldn't be explained could it? Other than that pang in the bottom of your stomach, and the fluttering of your heart.

She took his nervous face, and looked at him for a moment, making sure he was looking at her as well and smiled brightly. She kissed his cheek, and laughed a little at his afro hair. "I love you too, Allen." She said, with a big smile on her face. The rain was beating down upon them, but she didn't care, it was a beauitful evening.

"I love you too, Allen."

Allen grinned widely when she said that, and held her tightly, spinning in a circle with her. He kissed her hair and just held her, still spin-hugging with her. "I'm so happy," he said to her, smiling still and his eyes filled with glee. He wouldn't want this to be any other way. He just wanted to keep her in his arms and keep her away from pain for the rest of his life... which, if he wasn't mistaken, would be for a very, very long time.

The rain was still falling, but it didn't matter at all. Allen looked up at the sky for a moment, unable to stop smiling. "A little fall of rain could hardly hurt us now," he remarked quietly before resting his head on Enelya's, arms still around her. "But we should probably get out of the rain anyway... I wouldn't want my beautiful Plant Lady to get sick."

He smirked. "One more adjective!" he said in a sing-song voice, unable to stop himself from adding that.
