Help a recovering alcoholic

Nicolas was basically at the lowest point of his life prior to coming to Manta Carlos, and he's still... sort of digging his way out of the ditch. Essentially he drank until he couldn't afford to drink anymore, and then tried to get his life back together, and now that he does have it together and has a job that pays insane amounts of cash, he's gone right back to drinking until his liver screams.

Eventually he''ll stop--he'll get that shit under control--but right now he's not doing anything productive with his life. Basically I'm looking for something related to this. Another alcoholic who he drinks with who might be in a similar situation. Someone who just finished (or is in the process of) beating their own alcoholism. Something like that. Please give this poor man friends.

Oooo, I could see this working, even though Nic's several years older. How embarrassing is it that the kid's doing better than him?

Only question would be how they'd meet. Not sure Lochlann would be going to like, alcoholic help group, and I'm not sure if he'd fish nic out of the gutter after a bender.
