This political candidate was all about helping the less fortunate and promoting charity and kindness. It was only a matter of time before she opened up a soup kitchen. Well, let us rewind a little here. So little Anthia had been running all kinds of events in order to promote herself. At the same time, she threw in measures that would allow the events to also serve as help for others. However, this event was something that she wanted to do all for the sake of charity, but her status as a hopeful school politician enabled her to accomplish this.

She would work in a soup kitchen. Not just this, but she would operate an event here. This would provide an opportunity to people to come out and volunteer to feed homeless people. Beforehand, she held a food drive in order to get people that wanted to help but were perhaps unable to come to the kitchen to help donate more food. She herself donated a lot. Now this was the event where all of that food would be passed out and provided to the poor citizens of Manta Carlos that did not have the money to feed themselves. Being that this was within the city and not school-specific, citizens could help out as well.

The sun elf gave each person she saw a smile and some food as the line kept going on. There were still cans and whatnot that needed to be brought in. Soup kitchen was a bit of a misnomer because there was more than just soup offered, but it was all basic, easy-to-cook meals. The word had certainly spread about the event for there were many people that showed up to take advantage of the opportunity. What helped was that the kitchen was next to the actual homeless shelter.

Thea was excited to be at another event, she had spent her time helping carry things. Considering she was stronger than a normal child would be, she was carrying a bunch of cans to the back. She was happy to be active in helping people. She didn't exactly understand why this was a political campaign but she just happily carried stuffed to where they needed to be.

She didn't really a knowledge people were less fortunate. Back home there were slaves, but they weren't her. She had her own problems and she was starting to see that maybe being self-centered and oblivious to the bad things wasn't a privileged a lot of people could afford. She had gotten lucky coming to earth and finding a home.. These people weren't so lucky.

"Is there anything else I can do to help?"

"Oh wow! You're not only strong but fast!"

It seemed that Thea had already taken care of the boxes. She smiled brightly at her.

"You did a great job!"

Anthia looked at her current supply of food and frowned. They needed to cook more stuff. She stepped away from the table and moved closer to the little girl.

"You can come help me prepare more food."

She gestured to the entrance to the actual kitchen part. Ann walked there first and kept the counter lifted for Dorothea to walk through. Thankfully what they had to make was very simple. Soup, sandwiches, things of that nature. She wasn't worried too much as a result when it came to letting a young child help. There was a lower likelihood of her getting hurt.

Thea beamed up at Annie. She was glad to help out and be wanted. She had felt unwanted for a long time and now she was sorta getting high off the feeling. "Yeah they weren't that heavy" she said nodding enthusiastically.

"I can help?!?" She asked in wonder as she stepped behind the counter. Thea knew how to make sandwiches but she made sure to make them really slow as to not mess up. She didn't want to risk being asked to go away. No she was starting to make friends.

"This is really nice and fun"

"Of course you can! How about you make sandwiches while I make the soup?"

She delegated sandwich duty to Thea, feeling confident in the little girl's abilities. She really felt like she had made a new friend when it came to her. Even though she was several years younger than her, that feeling was nice. Anthia went right to work on the soup as Thea was making the sandwiches. The soup was no trouble at all for the girl. It was a simple dish to make after all. As she was stirring, she checked her friend's progress. She was doing well but going really slow. Maybe she was nervous about messing up?

"You're doing good Thea! Maybe just focus on one sandwich type at a time. That way, you can get them done faster and won't have problems organizing them."

By organizing them she meant simply putting the sandwiches in the right container. Each type had its own separate container that was labeled. The ingredients were also placed in a convenient way that minimized confusion.

"Doesn't it feel good to help people? I want to do more stuff like this after the elections too! ...Just maybe not so many events at once."

Two food drives in two different locations, soup kitchen work, and fundraiser meals at the maid cafe all in a short stretch of time along with the candy-making fair, cookie giveaway, and art workshop was just way too much. Man, Annie really did some hard campaigning this week. Hopefully it paid off....and that the people being helped appreciated it!

Thea nodded at Annie’s advice. She figured that it would be easier to focus on one at a time. She did have a tendency to want to do everything she saw or heard about. She figured it was best to try all the things the school and island had to offer. She wanted to have way more fun then she used to be allowed to have. Helping people wasn’t something she was all that interested in before, considering helping people had meant becoming part of the military or a doctor back on her home planet.

“It does feel good, I never really thought about it until the elections started, to be honest.” SHe said shrugging her shoulders, putting the sandwiches she had made in their proper containers. She didn’t know if she would still go to charity events after the election. She might, then again she figured after elections she would check out the clubs. Still if Annie was doing something she would definitely show up.

‘Well if you do something like this again, you can definitely count me in.”
