Eric was the healthy young age of sixteen. That meant a few things. One, he could drive a car. Probably the worst mistake of the modern age, to let a young man sit in the driver's seat of a massive metal horse that could trample over a person with little notice. Secondly, he desperately wanted those things he couldn't have. Eric thought his body a temple, so that ruled out drugs and alcohol. That left one sin, really.

There were no shortage of rumours about Club Gambit. 'Legend' said it hid in some rundown part of the city, hiding in plain sight within the slums of poverty. Maybe it was secretly a money laundering scheme, when it would stay away from the rest of the pretentious upper-end clubbing scenes. But its remoteness was what made it like a forbidden fruit, in some ways.

That, and the tales of their women. Yeah, so Eric liked girls. Sue him.

Club Gambit wasn't in the nicest place in the world, so Eric opted to take a cab instead of his sports car. Bringing a credit card to this establishment would probably land him in trouble – it would classify him as a minor in a heartbeat. So instead Eric brought a fat wallet for the occasion, all tucked right next to his fake ID.

Eric spent half the day, right after a good workout, figuring out the right clothes to wear. He could make anything look good, but he wanted to look really good. He thought he managed it, wearing a delicate balance of understated but classy. Really, it meant ditching the suit jacket for a vest, but half of wearing things right was in the cut and fit.

His vest, pants, and shoes were a polished black, and his dress shirt was a dull violet, the top two buttons undone. His only piece of jewelry was a silver watch on his left wrist. He would say nothing about it, but Eric also spent some time with makeup to make himself look just a few years older. Not that he needed it, but every bit helped.

The most important thing, however, was confidence. He walked into Club Gambit like he belonged there his whole life. Once he made it in, he took a minute to appreciate and assess his surroundings. The first hurdle was over.

The sounds of a bell alerted the club to Eric’s presence, and soon the click of heels began to approach him. In the entrance area where Eric stood, a large Japanese silk screen with a black and red pattern obstructed the view of most of the club, but it was possibly to catch a look at the lounge area. There were multiple black, leather couches set up specifically so that customers could order alcohol and chat up their favorite workers. The club had a black and white checker floor and red walls—with a very mod look to it.

Then Bunny turned the corner with a big smile on her face and a menu in her hand. Today’s theme was maids and butlers, so Bunny was strutting her stuff in a cute black uniform with pink hearts added to the skirt. Her curly pink hair was pulled into a high ponytail, and she decided to add her signature bunny ears to the outfit. The uniform’s skirt was quite short, showing off her long legs, and her top was cut quite low. She was feeling pretty darn cute, and was certainly getting a lot of attention tonight! (But then again, she always got a lot of attention…)

“Welcome to Club Gambit! I—ah…um…?”

Her enthusiasm momentarily gave way to confusion as she approached the young man. Strange; he seemed familiar. Had she seen him around Starlight Academy, perhaps? And more importantly: was he old enough to be here?! Being from the Academy didn't necessarily mean he was underage—he could be a college student. But that didn't change the fact that he looked rather young…

“I’m sorry,” she said with a cute little tilt of her head, “may I see some ID, please?”

A great screen obstructed the brunt of his view, but he could manage a glimpse at the leather seats down in the lounge. Eric was told that there, he could pay his way in chatting with up one of the girls. Paying usually meant drinks, but... Eric would have to figure some way around that.

Any worries about this Club were immediately put to rest when he turned his head to see Bunny. Boy did he catch an eyeful, and he fought hard not have his mouth crack into a boyish grin from the sight of her. His heart pounded, enough so that even when she stopped to ask him for his ID, there were no nerves left to flare up.

But Eric knew how to work under pressure. “Just for you, chérie.” There wasn't a moment of hesitation before he produces his wallet and fished out his ID. He planned this part out so perfectly, that even the card itself was placed in the wallet in such a way it wasn't easy to access. That way, it didn't seem like Eric was expecting to pull it out in the first place.

He smiled at Bunny. He stood a good six, maybe seven inches taller than her, so his downcast eyes were not nearly as suspicious as they could be. “Perhaps you'd like to keep an eye on me?” Eric offered her the fake ID.

Bunny watched as Eric pulled the ID from his wallet. She was trying to catch some sign of nervousness, if he really was too young to be in the club, but he was solid. She took the ID.

“Hm hm hm~” Bunny hummed to herself as she peered closely at the card. She had been trained by Yura to spot fake IDs, but to be perfectly honest…she just didn’t have an eye for it at all. So, as far as she was concerned, the ID was legit. He must have just looked rather young for his age!

“Alright then!” she said as she handed the ID back to him, convinced that he was okay to come in. Her big, charming smile was planted right back on her face. “Welcome to the club! I haven’t seen you around, so you must be new, right?” Bunny was very familiar with the regulars, so she always knew right off the bat when someone was coming for the first time.

“Well, follow me and I’ll tell you about the club!” Bunny twirled around—which caused her short little skirt to lift up just ever so slightly—and guided Eric into the club. Now he could get a full view of the place: to the left was the bar and some dining tables, and two the right was the lounge area he got a peek at before. In between the two was a small stage. It was a bit of a quieter night, but nonetheless there were customers in all areas of the club—and, of course, all the beautiful men and women were hard at work to please them.

“As you can see, we have options here: you can have dinner, or just go have a drink at the bar, or you can pick out one of lovely ladies or men to join you in the lounge! Of course, you are expected to buy drinks while you’re in the lounge. Oh! And the stage there is for when we have karaoke night—which is, like, the best ever!” she said with a giggle.

Bunny turned on her heels to face Eric again. “As you can see, today is ‘maid and butler day’! We have all sorts of fun theme days like this.” Then, momentarily, she became a bit more serious. Tucking the menu under her one arm, she raised a stern finger. “Now, while we may look really cute and sexy in our outfits, we do have some strict rules. No touching, and no overly-sexualized talk! We want everyone to feel safe and welcome here."

She then leaned in toward Eric, and winked. “We don’t mind a little playful flirting though,” she added, giggling.

The little bunny ears on her head flopped as she pulled back away. "But, nothing more than that! Otherwise, you have to deal with our scary boss lady. And trust me, you don't want that."

“You're right, my first time,” Eric smiled and let the woman lead him into the club.

That was easy enough. He followed behind his lovely host, taking in every section they had to offer. The bar was a little too lonesome for his tastes, and he didn't come here to eat. He ate before arriving. To the left was the lounge, and he could see a few other patrons drinking and speaking with girls just about as equally gorgeous as 'Bunny', all in some variant of a maid uniform. Eric supposed there were male servers too, but his eyes could never seem to zone in on them. Too many distractions.

He was in the middle of fantasizing the possible other themes this place offered, when he noticed the woman's finger in the air. Eric just about missed her words, but they were important ones. Look, but don't touch. And don't be creepy.

“You're a work of art in a gallery,” Eric responded immediately after his host finished. She did say flirting was acceptable. Give an inch, and Eric could take as many inches as it took to reach a mile. “I'd like to know more about your boss's masterpiece,” Eric motioned to the lounge. His eyes stayed on 'Bunny' until, he hoped, she realized he was referring to her as the masterpiece.

Another hurdle behind him. He sat in the lounge and waited for 'Bunny' to accompany him. “I don't suppose an employee is allowed to drink? A shame if I couldn't buy you one.” Eric thought it a long shot, but this Club was already more than he ever expected.

Once she was finished explaining the rules of the club, Bunny was back to her bubbly self. A masterpiece, he called her.

“You’re not half bad yourself,” She said with a giggle. He really was pretty cute—once she got over the concern of him being too young. Going on a date with a customer was considered off-limits, but…that didn’t mean it didn’t happen sometimes. She was curious to learn more about the handsome young man.

Taking the hint, she followed him to the lounge and had a seat right beside him. She crossed her legs and rested her hands in her lap.

“Well~ we’re allowed to drink a little…” she explained, pressing a finger to her cheek. “We’re just not allowed to get drunk, you know? One glass of wine—no big deal. Chugging down shots of tequila—not so good.”

Taking the drink menu from under her arm, she passed it over to Eric. “So—what would you like to order?”

All in all, Eric figured it was going well. His only concern was about the drinks, since there was no way Eric could last more than a few. He almost never drank, so even if he was a pretty big guy it wouldn't take much to make him tipsy. Playing smart and paying extra for a few drinks for 'Bunny' would take him a very long way.

He sat down next to 'Bunny', that confident smile never skipping a beat. Eric perhaps most enjoyed the lighting, a dim setting could hide many flaws. Not that Eric had flaws, obviously, but he did attempt a bit of makeup and wasn't used to wearing any. Another benefit of the lighting was how it could play against Eric's eyes. With no bright lights to reflect in his eyes, the small inhuman flakes of gold dimly sparkled.

“A glass of wine... or two,” Eric suggested before he received the drink menu. Good God, there were a lot of options and none of them Eric understood. One whole side of it was beers, cocktails, everything Eric would likely never touch. The other side was something he at least knew a little about. His family did share in wine on occasion. It was a French thing.

Ah, it was perfect. Eric could buy a bottle, often marked up and worth more than enough to warrant a long stay, and keep his pace until he was finished. Worse come to worst, he could probably even convince 'Bunny' to drink a little more than she meant to.

“How about a bottle of pinot noir? Any preference on brand?” Eric wasn't familiar with any of them, but if she asked, he'd just explain it away for being foreign. Hopefully she liked the most expensive one. More time and entitlement to sit around and take his time drinking.

As Eric passed the menu and the order to a server, he returned and settled his attention on his pseudo-date. “This is a very curious profession, sitting around and talking troubles with gentlemen. You must quite like people.”

“Pinot Noir? Hm hm hm…” Bunny tapped her fingers against her chin thoughtfully for a moment. “Oh! Try the Casa Marín Lo Abarca Hills—that one is good! It’s from Chile and has this nice black-raspberry flavor to it.” And, much to Eric’s luck, it was one of the more expensive wines as well. Bunny was very much an up-seller when it came to the wine; she could recommend the most expensive wines without a hint of greed in her voice—simply pure enthusiasm.

Once the drink order was taken, Bunny crossed her legs and took a good look at her customer. He really was a good-looking guy. Was he wearing a hint of makeup? She could see a little sparkle of gold around his eyes. She liked that—appearance was very important to her, so she liked people who felt the same way.

When Eric brought up her ‘curious profession’, she couldn’t help but giggle.

“I suppose it is an unconventional job, isn’t it?” Bunny said before pressing her hands to her chest. “But I love it! I love the fun outfits, I love my boss, I love talking to people!” She wished she could have added ‘I love my coworkers’, but…that part of the job was just not working out quite as well for her. She tried her best to not let it get her down though—she focused on making the customers happy, and spent most of her time with Yura.

“Ultimately, I guess I just like making people happy.” Bunny actually blushed a little and tucked her hair behind her ear as she said that. “I guess this isn’t the typical way of doing that, but I feel like this job has always been a good fit for me.”

Eric grinned over 'Bunny''s excitement. If she loved all of that, she was definitely in the right place. Eric also made for a good patron. He loved looking at fun outfits, he loved talking to gorgeous women, and he loved spending money on wine he didn't really want to drink. Seriously. A bottle like that, Eric supposed he had quite some time on his hands to get to know 'Bunny'. He wondered just how much he could make her shift from talking to him just because it was her job, to wanting to talk to him out of genuine interest. Assuming it already wasn't there.

“I like making people happy too,” Eric said. He delighted in the little blush she made. “How long have you been at this? It must take some time to get comfortable with it though, right? All the attention you get from young, handsome men?”

The wine arrived. The waiter opened the bottle for them, pouring a glass for each before letting Eric and 'Bunny' settle back into business. “Cheers,” Eric invited 'Bunny' to tap glasses before taking a deceptively small sip. He drank just enough to feel its taste, but enough to control his reaction as it hit the back of his throat. He wasn't a big drinker, to say the least.

“Anything else you like to do? Or is this what more what you do for play, than work?” Eric teased.

“I’m sure you do~” Bunny replied teasingly when Eric mentioned he liked to make people happy. He was such a big flirt, but Bunny found it cute. She did tend to get interested in guys like that—confident to the point of cocky and, unfortunately, with a tendency to be unfaithful.

“Oh gosh, I’ve been working here a few years now,” Lydia replied, although she was not about to spell out how many years any time soon. “I met the owner a few years ago, and I liked her and the club so much that I started working and have been here ever since! And honestly, I got used to all the attention pretty easily…” She let out a little laugh. “I’ll admit it: I guess I just like attention.”

Soon the wine arrived, giving a small break in the conversation.

“Cheers!” Bunny replied as they both tapped their glasses and she took a sip. “Heh, I love wines that have a fruity or berry flavor to them,” she said as she put the glass down on the table.

“Oh, well, I also like to sing karaoke here, and I like to sew so sometimes I fix up the costumes here, and…”

Bunny blinked a moment, and then pressed her hands against her cheeks. “Oh dear, my life really does revolve around this place, doesn’t it??” she said with a giggle. “Okay, well, outside the club, I like animals,” she reached up and wiggled her rabbit ears, “especially bunnies! Bunnies are so cute. I like to ride horses, too.”

She leaned in a bit closer to Eric. “How about you? What do you like to do in your spare time?”
