"Yeah, I think so." She said, seemingly just as enamored by how cute the cat was. Almost absentmindedly she added on another speculation.

"I wonder if she poops..." She mused quietly, the kind of tone that made it very clear she might not have meant to say that out loud.

Wednesday giggled again.

"I'll um, leave figuring that out to you, I think."

She stood back up straight, patting her skirt down.

"I think its safe to take her home, if you want. I'll um, clean up here and return crucible, so you can have more time with her."

"Oh, don't worry, when I figure it out I'll make sure to have a full report on it with figures and photos and everything. I'll even have you over so you can have some firsthand experience handling it!" She teased, giving her a nudge.

"No, I'll help clean up too, it's only fair." She looked around the room for something to carry her home in. The only option was her backpack.

"I will actually keep you updated on her, though. Man, how cool would it be if we figured out how to do this reliably.."

"Please do, this is the most fascinating thing I've seen all week." She smiled. "I'd love to compare notes."

She gave a quick nod, before moving over to her bag, starting to collect the extra loose pages and back up heat stones they'd made. She was feeling good, they'd succeeded with their experiment, and even got a bonus out of it.

Though...that was definitely strange. What had she even done to cause this? The fire spell she'd cast was already fading from her mind, she'd barely been paying attention when she wrote it, not at all like her usually detailed oriented self.

She pulled out her phone, scrolling through her contacts to Tuesday. Maybe she should let her know, this was definitely weird...

No, that wasn't necessary, a voice said in her mind, the same voice that soothed her before and told her what to say to Anne. Tuesday didn't need to know about this, nothing had really gone wrong, after all.

As soon as the thought of letting her know entered her mind it was promptly squashed, and that calm expression returned as she helped Anne pack their things.
