Alana sighed and reached for her coffee. There were pens everywhere, most of them dry, some of them cracked and one of them bleeding ink everywhere.

Nothing worked. She thought she got a little juice out of 'audia'. It enhanced her ability to hear the conversations around her, but it lasted a second and was barely noticeable.

Glancing round at the mess, Alana was about to go back to word-hunting when someone sat down at the next computer.

These computers were far from optimal, but functional enough. Andrea sat at one, instantly letting it hum to life. Its lurid lights immediately dulled under the opening of multiple worksheets, each one filled with more numbers and graphs than the last. Half of it was strictly academic stuff, and the other half was complex hypothetical math for something that most people would consider a hobby.

Without breaking pace, she looked around for a few moments, typing away. Her eyes met her neighbors, who'd sighed and somehow managed to smuggle in coffee. Was that even allowed?

"Didn't think we were allowed to have coffee in here," she said, smiling. "If I knew I'd have brought along a mug."

Though not usually one to start conversation, she figured that a little more mental activity on top of what was going on rapidly in her screen was fine. Always worked better than coffee.

Rosetta stuck her head in from the door to see if there was anyone in the room, or the custodian just left the door unlocked by accident. She didn't know the rules on the computer lab in this school, so if no one was there, then she would have just went back out rather than risk dealing with some penalty.

The aroma of coffee reached her nose before she saw at least two people already there. It must be fine to be here then. She had a habit of dressing formally, so as she walked in she may have looked like a member of the secret service, dressed in an all-black suit save for the dress shirt underneath complete with a tie. All that was missing would be black sunglasses. But instead she had a pair of red-rimmed glasses.

Walking over to the two and sitting on the other side of the girl with coffee, she smiled at the other two and said with a cheery demeanor, "Hey. You don't mind me taking this one, do you?"
