Rory brought Zora to the track of grass, where falling wouldn't hurt so badly and there was no threat of being thrown into the pool. "That's fine. I didn't think about it before, either. You'll get there."

Once outside, Rory shifted into a defensive position. "I'm going to teach you how to break someone's nose and after I do that, I want you to use it on me. Okay? Don't hesitate. Just do."

"Now, what you want to do is have a wide leg stance. Legs shoulder length apart, if you can help it." Rory demonstrated, bending her knees some. "Make sure to bend your knees so they deliver the energy of your blow. This is vital.

"Good, now open your hand and make sure your fingers aren't touching. You'll want to bend your wrist back so you're striking with the heel of your palm. Mind you, if you don't practice this you can and will hurt your hand."

She waited for Zora to make the motion before continuing. "Now, you'll want to put your weight into your arm and hit just under the nostrils and continue the motion up into your attackers head. You don't want to do this straight on, the nose is designed to take damage head on so it's not as effective."

Following Rory out onto the grass, Zora was surprised to hear her tell her she was going to teach her how to break someone's nose. A bit uncertain about that idea, and especially about practising it on Rory - Zora didn't care if it was okay or not, it still kind of bothered her.

As she listened carefully to Rory's instructions, placing herself like she was told, knees bent, even holding her hand the way she was told, Zora was hesitant about the whole idea. She knew she could hurt Rory.

"Okay, here goes.. 1-2-3..." And here she actually moved forward exactly as Rory told her, and made contact. Cringing at this, Zora stepped back suddenly, afraid she had hurt Rory.

The blow was enough to make Rory bleed, but with Zora so obviously pulling her punches, it didn't break. Rory reached up subconsciously to hold her face and curse.

"No. No. Don't count. Don't hesitate. Just do it." And for some added incentive, Rory lunged forward with the poise of someone ready to really hurt Zora.

"In a real situation, I definitely would not count..." Zora remarked quickly, instinctively jumping back when Rory lunged at her, still quite appalled though to see that she had made her nose bleed like she had.

"It's not in my nature to hurt people I know..." she admitted with a grimace "And I like you, so I don't want to hurt you intentionally."

Rory turned on her heel, predicting where Zora would go when she jumped away. Normally, Rory might have slammed someone down, but she wasn't going to do that here. Instead, she swept out a leg to trip Zora.

"I'm not going to give you much a choice. You can't be picky with this shit."

"Hey!" Zora cried as Rory kicked out a leg a tripped her, falling back on her butt she scrambled backwards on the ground and then to her feet when she was a good ways a way from Rory, Zora had an unease feeling that Rory was going to chase her or something, and didn't know if she should be taking off again or what. She certainly didn't want to appear paranoid.

Rory wasn't even going to give Zora the chance to run. She was on her again. If Rory had been going easy before, she wasn't now. Every punch aimed to aim, all her speed and flexibility used to keep Zora on her toes and Rory right near her.

She wasn't lying when she said she wasn't going to give Zora the choice. Keep running or hit Rory has she'd learned to.

Back on the ground, Zora automatically threw her hands up to defend herself from Rory's painful blows. Obviously, this was a repeat performance of Broen when she asked him to surprise attack her. He hadn't given her any choice but to defend herself.

Using all her strength, Zora finally pushed Rory back off her, slapped her hard across the face, going for the nose area, and took off at a dead run towards the wooded area, hoping to at least lose her or hide from her among the trees.

Rory laughed when Zora fucking finally struck her. She didn't bother to chase Zora when she ran that time. After all, this had been about teaching Zora to strike. Not how to run.

Lorelai figured she'd have to wait for Zora to calm down a little. She also figured that wouldn't take more than a minute, especially once Zora realized Rory wasn't chasing her.

Rory wiped the blood from her nose, waiting a few seconds before... SNAP. And like that, her nose was back in shape. Drying blood was the only indication that anything had been wrong.

After about 80 paces, Zora realised that Rory wasn't after. Stopping, she turned around, saw Rory standing where she had left her. Walking back slowly, Zora held her side and tried to catch her breath, her heart still racing.

"How's your nose?" Zora asked as she approached, knowing she had deliberately gone for that part because she assumed Rory's nose was tender and it would hurt more if she struck there.
