<div align=center>Red nodded, gesturing for her to follow him back to the front desk. He yawned softly, exposing the long, curved teeth at the front of his mouth. He laughed softly at what she had said, he hadn't had homework for a while, he couldn't remember the last time he'd done any. Red pulled out the chair behind his desk at the front of the library and held out a paw to take the books from her. He placed them on the desk, opened the front cover and scribbled a date with the ink quill that was next to him, and did the same for the other. He waited a moment for the ink to dry, before closing the books, and passing them back to her, nodding, and smiling a little.

"That is the date in which you checked them out, and the date you must bring them back." He nodded again, though he supposed she had already known that, she must have been to a library before, at some point or another at least. He smiled again, and worded his thanks to her.</div>

Following him back to the desk, Maria was fascinated, boh by his looks, and very long teeth, as well as how big library actually was. She thought she had a pretty good idea when she saw it from the front, but only when she walked through it, and realised that without a guide she would be totaly lost, did she really get it.

Once they got to the front desk, she smiled again, noding her head, before opening the book to check out the date, just in case. However, she doubted she will ever need it, because the book looked interesting and not that long. She might even be able to read it today. 'Is there anyplace I can read here?', she asked, looking around. 'I'm not in a mood to walk back to the dorms right now.'

<div align=center>Red's lips curved up into a small smile, though it was somewhat difficult to tell, he always looked so stern that it never seemed like it was smiling. He flicked his tail lazily, and glanced over to a corner filled with tables, chairs and other such places to sit down, he gestured to it and nodded. "Over there," he stated, glancing down at her, and pushing his glasses a short way up his nose. "make yourself comfortable, you can stay here as long as you like." The Baron dipped his head, and his left ear twitched slightly. It was unusual for him to be quite to friendly toward someone, perhaps he'd been given a good feeling about Maria, she was young, he didn't want to frighten her.

He did enjoy frightening the more cocky students, however. He could think of several off the top of his head that he especially liked snapping at. He'd probably even bitten a few of them, though, not in this form of course. A bite from The Red Baron in this form would not only draw blood, but most likely shatter bone, too. He had the feeling he might get into a little bit of trouble if he ended up breaking someones arm.</div>

'Thank you.', she said, smilling, before making her way to the tabels. He spent a few moments choosing a chair with a good light, but also big enough for her to snug in it, her legs beneath her-carefuly folded so her shoes wouldn't dirty it-her arms proped against the armrest in order for her to get the bether grab on the book. Once she sat down, she carefully opened the frigal pages, starting to read.

She liked the book, reading through page after page within minutes, excited about finding exactly what she was looking for. And despite the fact that the Library was already quit, she instinctivly raised her Field of Sillence, as it was a habit from back home where she could never manage to read without it considering her brothers.

The deeper she got into the story, the deeper the sillence around her grew, the field aslo getting bigger and bigger with each word, until it reached the front desk.

<div align=center> Red smiled softly at her as he heard her thanks, and bowed his head a short way, "you're welcome," he stated softly, flicking his tail once and curling it briefly up behind him. He went back to his business once the girl had found a comfortable place to sit, though his business was usually never more than sleeping or handing out stern looks. He did both of those things extremely well. Red took a moment to decide what to do, and ended up changing himself back to the form so familiar with most of the students, in which he looked so much cuter and far less frightening than the way he looked other times, most didn't even notice he was there, letalone did they know he was the librarian. He'd frightened a student earlier that way, though the boy had looked so terribly scared that he'd felt a little bad earlier, he must have been new, most students that had been at the school for a while were used to surprises by now, and his presence didn't phase them.

He hopped up onto his desk, stretching his tail upwards to balance himself, before curling up, and folding his tail up underneath him. Red settled his chin onto the tip, using the tufty end of it as a pillow of sorts.</div>

Soon, students entering her little santuary of silence started noticing that something was off as they quite chatet suddenly died at one point, only to return at another. Whisperes started getting louder, and the only reason there wasn't panic in the room was that some of the older students imidiately guess what was wrong, they just didn't know who it was that was doing it. One of them approached the librarian, looking for help. 'It appears that there is someone using powers in the room.', he said, quietly, not looking to be biten right now.

Maria, of course, failed to notice any of that as she was already nearing the end of the book.
