<div align=center>The room was stuffy and warm, the Baron's tail swished idly over his desk, his ear twitching now and then. The library was mostly deserted, aside from a few students reading up on whatever work they'd missed, he liked it like this, he enjoyed the peace. He shifted a little, curling up on the wooden surface, lifting his tail and curling it around himself, the end of it still flicking up now and again. A small pile of books lay to the left of him, he'd most likely planned to read them, but it was warm in the room, and he felt sleepy. The creature let out a short sigh, lifted his hind leg and lazily scratched at his ear.

A fly buzzed into his view, and he snapped at it, his jaws coming together with a quiet click, his yellow eyes narrowed a little, buzz off. He was a smallish animal in this form, around the size of a small Labrador, of course, he believed himself to be far more interesting than a Labrador. He yawned, showing off the set of long canine teeth in his mouth, today, is going to be a very long day.

Of course, it wasn't that Red disliked being here, it was just that it was going to be incredibly difficult for him to stay awake. </div>

Maria stepped into the room quietly. She immediately had to raise her hand in order to stop a small cough for the air in the room was so warm that she couldn't breathe, especially not after spending almost two hours by the water breathing the salty fresh air. However, she got bored there soon, since she had all the time in the world to read all the books she has brought from home, and that's why she was here. She wanted a book, but not one of those academic books they would probably had to read for class, but something a bit different, that would make her think, but also have fun.

As she got used to the stuffy air, she stepped forward, and once she saw how big the room was, a wave of joy washed over her. There has to be something in here that she could read! She smiled, and approached the first shelve. Loads of books, old, and new, but nothing that really sparked her interest. So she kept going, and going, and going... And suddenly, she wasn't so happy the room was big, since it turned out it was too big. She stopped to think for a minute, and then turned around to politely, quietly ask the first person next to her for a librarian.

<div align=center>The Baron opened an eye, and pricked up an ear, hearing the girl ask for the librarian, and well, that was him of course. He yawned widely, pushed himself slowly to his feet, and jumped off the desk. He was agile, like a cat, and landed well. He stretched, uncurled his tail, and padded over to Maria, sitting down at her feet, and staring idly up at her. Of course, the Baron was far smaller than her in his feral form, most would deem it a little strange to see him wandering around the library, but this is where he usually spent most of his time.

Baron yawned again, his yellow eyes meeting those of Maria. He tilted his head to one side, in a curious sort of manner. Even in this form the Baron had a stern, bored look about him, it was almost amusing. He was willing to help, but so many passed him by, since well, he didn't really look like a librarian, not like this, anyhow. He shifted in his spot, still staring up at the girl, and curling his long, dark tail around himself. </div>

'There you go.', the boy she was talking to disappeared around the corner of the next shelf, annoyed, after he pointed at the yawning... well, she didn't want to call it a creature. Taking a deep breath, for she was already used to the idea of things being a bit strange here (after all, wasn't that the reason she has come to study to this school, and not some other?), she looked down, into the eyes of the librarian(?)-she added a small question mark to that question in her had, while smiling on the outside, not really afraid, just surprised, and a bit curious.

''Hello?'', she said quietly, as everything about her was quest and she couldn't really help it at all. ''I'm looking for something to read, and, well, I'm new. I can't find my way around here. I would like some help.''

<div align=center>The Baron replied with a small, slow nod. Perhaps it'd do the girl better he he wasn't in this form. He pushed himself up onto his stubby legs, wandered round the corner, and returned not long later, though he looked far different this time, standing on two legs instead of four, and now managing to pass the girl's height (by quite some way.) Red cleared his throat, and apologized softly, "what exactly were you looking for?" He asked quietly, lifting an eyebrow, and pushing his glasses up his nose. He new this library back to front, it must have been scary for a new person, he sympathized with the girl, at least she was polite.

"What kind of things do you like to read?" He then asked, glancing past her at a student who was making a paper plane, his eyes narrowed, the student placed the sheet of paper on the desk. He'd been at the school for a while, and students were normally a little intimidated by him, especially if they happened to catch his bad side.</div>

'Um...', she was startled, to say at least, by the change in the furry librarian's looks. She couldn't stop staring even though she knew it wasn't polite and could hear he mother's voice in the back of her mind, scolding her. She shook her head, bittin her lip and looked up this time. Well, if anything, he was easier to talk to this way. She smiled.

'Well, it's a bit complicated, sine I'm not too sure myself.', she said honestly, playing with her hair, her gaze losing focuse as she started thinking about books. 'I would like something fun, that would make me laugh, but not like one of those stupid books that are all jokes and no point or plot. I would also like it to be a bit serious, to make me think in order to get what's going on.', she frowned, trying to find better words to expres herself. 'So, perhaps a mistery, with a bit of humor in it?', she titled her head to the right, thinking. 'But if you don't have that, some fantasy is always fine...', she added meakly to that, suddenly unsure of her description.

<div align=center>The Baron, of course, had noticed her staring, though he didn't ridicule her for it, as he knew himself that he was a little unusual, she wouldn't have seen anyone quite like himself before, and he knew that. He listened to her speak, and nodded a little, he assumed she had read Sherlock Holmes, though he suggested it just in case she hadn't, as well as Harry Potter, again, he assumed most students of her age had read that, too. He gestured for her to follow him, intending to show her a different section of the library it seemed. "The library has a lot of different sections for certain genres of books." He stated, blinking, and stopping next to a tall shelf.

There were hundreds of them, all arranged into a neat alphabetical order. The faded sign bolted to the shelf they were placed on read: 'mysteries.' Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, The Famous Five, they were all here somewhere. "It can be easy to lose your way in here, you will get used to it." </div>

He's nice., she decided as she followed him trough the library.

'I sure hope so.', she said as she went around the shelf. 'It would be too bad to get lost every time I came here to get a book. For once, I think I would be late for all my classes.'

She looked trough books one by one, carefully touching the bindings as she read the titles, always putting them back to their place the minute she was done reading the description. She recognised some, didn't ever hear of others, but she was equally interested in both.

'How many books may I care back to my room?', she asked coming back to where he stood. 'And for how long may I keep them?'

<div align=center>Red nodded, "the limit is two weeks," he answered, matter of factly. "though, if you don't finish them before that time, you can always check them out again," he paused, looking down at Maria, lifting an eyebrow at her. "don't forget to bring them back, though." He stated, his tail swishing once or twice behind him. If there was anything that really did bother the Red Baron, it was books not being brought back on time. Paying a fine was nothing compared to facing his angry wrath, you were very likely to end up getting bitten if he didn't see his books back on time.

He glanced down at the girl again, "though I'm sure you are perfectly capable of remembering, you seem as though you look after things." He grunted softly, "it's a change from some of the bloody students here..." He added quietly, his tail curling up behind him, and his ear twitching.</div>

'Thank you.', she smiled at the compliment, bringing out one of the books out of its confinement on the shelf, and looking it over. 'I'll make sure to be careful with them.' She looked at the book once more, deciding that the description on the last page gave off just the feeling she was looking for, so she brought it with her, instead of putting it back.

'Two weeks should be more than enough time for me to read them, unless there is too much homework to be done. I'll make sure to return them early if that is the case.', she said, holding the book she held in her hand in front of her. 'May I check this out now, please?'
