He chuckled at that look, an understanding smile creeping across his face as he leaned forward again.​

"You didn't need to get all dressed up to ask if you could take her up on those teases some time. You can just ask up front." He said, taking another drink while he looked over to watch his reactions.​

I mean, I could have come with something like this:", in a silent snap of fingers, his suit was now white with a dark green shirt displaying a circuit pattern that formed a demon fox's face in bright green, "But since we brought the subject up, what do you think? And do you think she's serious about it too?"

He leaned back once again, folding his arms and thinking about it.​

"I think she's always serious to some extent there, and I imagine she might want to thank you herself. As for what I think.." He trailed off again, reaching forward to retrieve his drink as he considered it.​

I can but imagine how grateful Kassie is.", the image of that moment was still in Neon's mind, when KC extended her tail, twisted it in a heart shape... More specially her genuine smile to him.

"Without a doubt, after all I want her to continue to have such a radiant smile.", Neon spoke with conviction, taking a long sip with his eyes set upon Hadley, "Also, if you and her have more ideas for modifications, just give me a ping and I'll study it to provide it free of charge."

"I'm leaving her to worry about her own modifications. She understands that all more than I do." He replied. He seemed to appreciate that response from Neon, though, and he thought for a few more moments.​

"Understood. I will treat her kindly and obey the restrictions if Kassie imposes any then.", there's only so far he'd be willing to go anyways. Neon finished his saké, fiddling with the empty glass. "In a sense, Kassie and I are similar. However, this is a funny story, really: Imagine a human, dies playing a game, goes into denial of their death while becoming a ghost in the machine, wakes up outside a computer with a hazy memory of who they used to be. Yep, that's me in a nutshell."

He sipped his drink quietly, listening to Neon's story. It wasn't quite the same as what happened to Hadley- well, barely similar at all- but he felt like he could relate to some part of it. Certainly the parts about being a human to begin with. He set his glass back down once he was finished.​

"Nice to hear you got that sort of closure with your old life." Hadley said, his drink finally finished.

"I haven't got any family or friends left back in the narrow myself. Made moving here a lot easier." He said, flagging down one of the waiters for another drink.

You don't have anyone in the Narrow Reality?", Neon held back the sadness he felt for Hadley having no one out there, as feeling sad wouldn't bring anyone back, "I can see that making moving here easier, however. After all, how would you go explaining that you had to move here and all, without getting in trouble with the Veil?"
