"Losing my life was VERY bad, when I learned that I truly died I almost passed out from the shock. Losing my human form... I dunno, this is not all bad, I can be whoever I want, whenever I want. Only thing that really sucks is the energy limit, and I wind up borrowing it from others. And before you ask if it's dangerous: yes it is, but I'm cautious enough to just get them slightly sleepy at worst.", Neon explained.
"Good to know. I wouldn't recommend trying to get any out of me, don't know if this-" He raised his left hand up again "-is putting out any kind of weird energy. May end up in contact with someone you'd rather not be." He warned.
"Sounds nice to be able to change your appearance around, though. Got a little of that with the tentacles myself."
"what I drain is spiritual energy. Unless who I try to drain from has a stronger drain in effect, or they lack spiritual energy, it should be safe for me to borrow from drain.", Neon had to put emphasis on "should", "The change of appearance is a nice bonus, and it requires some focus to maintain... Yet I was able to keep the Kabano disguised in Narrow Reality with minimal effort. Heck, I even got DRUNK and kept my disguise for a whole night of sleep."
"If it's spiritual energy you're taking then I'd recommend you stay as far away from it as possible. I've never seen anything exactly like this before but I've seen enough similar things to know that it doesn't have a spirit you want to touch." He warned.
"You're lucky with that, by the way. When I first got this drinking made it damn near impossible to control properly."
Neon just had to wonder what was in that arm, but chose not to overthink that anymore. "I'll take your word for it.", was all he could say of the warning, "Maybe there's also something about how my mind deals with the magic I control to a subconscious or instinctual level, but this is just guesswork at this point."
"I'd say it's a better safe than sorry situation. No sense in messing with it unless you have to." He said, finishing up his drink and placing the glass back down on the table.

"Aside from still being a student, aspiring game dev, and forking my studies in how to improve the lives of NEK0 through technology and my own powers... There's nothing much to my line of work, and my studies haven't got to a meaningful level yet. But if you want to know about my most recent project: I'm attempting to create a virtual reality game set in a mix of western and eastern medieval period, with some cyberpunk elements.", Neon snapped his fingers, creating a projection on the table of a medieval town with robot turrets stationed at the towers, holographic signs marking the entrance of every place.
Hadley examined the display with some interest, but clearly... not the target audience for that sort of thing.
"That's impressive. Been amazed by the kinds of things that we've got over here compared to what we had back in my village." He chuckled, sure that even seeing this would've given his childhood priest a conniption.
"And I have my son to help me with it. Boy's got skills with computer data to a whole new level, he dreams of whole worlds that are based on games and people can join him if they find the gateway... Been testing with the ability to log his dreams to see if they can be converted into usable game data.", Neon's data began wagging eagerly.
