Gemma Castor

Broomy - A bit witchy, Gemma’s able to summon a broom or a mop to her hand from up to ten meters away. She can mount the broom/mop, but she can only hover a couple feet off the ground and can only move as fast as she can run. The broom/mop can only hold one person, Gemma. If the end of the mop or broom is destroyed or removed, it will no longer be affected by her power.

Kemonomimi Physiology - She has cat ears, a tail, baby fangs, retractable claws, and retractable whiskers (function like cats', very uncomfortable to retract until they force themselves back out after a few days).

Enhanced senses - She can hear three to four times farther than a human, and her hearing can go up to an ultrasonic frequency. Her sense of smell is around ten times as strong as a human's, allowing her to pick up on things like food or a potential mate. She can see incredibly well in low-light conditions and in the night, but her vision is normal otherwise.

Agile - Gemma has fantastic reflexes, agility, and is faster than the average human. Her tail helps her balance better. She has a righting reflex that allows her to land on her hands and/or feet when falling, but it's not as good as a cat's and isn't a 100% guarantee.

Kitty Athletic - As a kemonomimi, Gemma's legs are naturally stronger. They allow her to vertically jump up to twice her height and long-jump around twenty feet without training.

Witchy Lifespan - Gemma has a longer lifespan, around 300 or so years. She develops a little slower as a result and could still hit growth spurts in her 20s and 30s.

Sensitive tail - Like a cat, her tail is attached to her spine and is very sensitive. She feels the most pain through her tail, and as such feels a natural need to protect this vulnerable appendage.

CAT - Gemma has a weakness for things like yarn and laser pointers; her cat instincts tell her to indulge in them ASAP. She also has an innate fear of snakes (and other oblong green things) that triggers her fight or flight to the max.

Gemma was born in a litter of three on Manta Carlos. She got to play with lots and lots of siblings older and younger as she grew, always the one asking to play house and dress-up and hide-and-go-seek. Her big brother Callum spoiled her endlessly, even when she sometimes got in trouble. Her powers began developing around eight or nine years old when she started flying around on a mop from the kitchen while playing house.

Not much else notable has happened in her short life, save the typical kid drama such as crushes, homework, field trips, and the occasional bully or tease.

Gemma comes from a large, upper middle-class family. She lives in one of the multi-story houses that her family owns to accommodate their size. She gets a small allowance from her parents because she's otherwise spoiled rotten by her older siblings and extended family, who like to buy her pretty dresses and accessories and toys that she likes.
