Gathering Mushrooms

Azure was actually a little surprised at how easy that was. He was sort of expecting a no or something to that effect. Unless it was hunting, people generally weren't interested in just hanging out in the woods. At least that was Azure's experience. He also did tend to go off on his own instead of sticking with a buddy. This would hopefully be the changing point with that.

"Well... I used to live in a big forest, so it's like being at home for me," Azure said. Probably outside of his family, most people didn't know that about him. "That was when I acted a lot less like a human..."

Azure considered her question. He figured she probably didn't know his powers or anything. No one really seemed to know all that much about him though. That was kind of his fault for not saying much about himself.

"I always lived his life as a wolf before I came here. Not a lot of contact with humans," he explained before shifting into a pack of five wolves, each with shifter tags. Then the pack merged into a giant wolf that was at least fifteen feet at the shoulder. After shifting he lay down on the ground.

Azure almost didn't give any kind of response at all, then he remembered he couldn't talk when he was in his wolf forms. He shifted back into his human form, looking at Azucena thoughtfully. "A lot of people say that when I shift. I guess I just consider it a normal thing."

He shrugged before sitting where he stood, tail swaying. "I'm also learning wind magic. Turns out I have a high affinity for it."

"I guess so. I don't really think about it like that," Azure sort of thought about it. Most people in his class and really on the island in general seemed to see magic as some level of amazing. Amazing in the sense that it let them do things that they probably wouldn't normally be able to do as humans. "Well Celeste knows magic, and I'm was sort of good at the basic stuff in the magic theory class. I figured it's just another part of myself I should learn about."

He kind of focused on Azucena a bit. Another side effect of being a quiet kid in class was people would usually be thrown off when you say something that has weight to it.

"You're just a human aren't you?" he guessed, not beating around the bush at all. "The way you talk makes it seem like you wanna try magic, but... I dunno."

"Well you're probably better than me at a lot of things I'm not great at... " Azure shrugged. "Like uh socializing."

It was clearly a joke, but Azure managed to maintain his regular stoic expression. Maybe she was approaching things from the wrong angle. He was a big proponent of getting something if you really wanted it. There was also one other thing he remembered from his studies.

"Maybe you just haven't found the right thing to unlock your magic. I think... everyone has at least a little bit in them. But, it doesn't make you less special if you don't unlock it."
