As some of you may already know, my up-and-coming first character is going to be an alraune! That is, a flower girl. However, what you may not know is that she was not always a cute flower. In fact, she was once a regular human! And a guy at that, too. Clearly becoming a pretty flower-girl was an improvement.

The problem is, how did she become an alraune? That's where your character(s) come in. Rather than me just putting it down as an accident or something boring like that, it would be far more interesting if it were the work of another character here! So far, the only requirements I have are that it be either be forced or tricked into doing it, in order for the personality I have in mind to make sense. Perhaps she has unwittingly been pulled into an experiment? A wish has been turned against her? Did straying into the forbidden forest leave her bonded with an unusual plant species there? Or did she run into an alraune who, wishing to see the outside world, swapped their bodies?

I haven't made a proper character app yet, but a WIP may be posted soon. Still somewhat unsure about the backstory besides alraune-ification, but I do know that they'll have become an alraune very recently, either upon arriving on the island or shortly before.

Those are just some of the ideas I have off the top of my head. If this sounds at all interesting to anyone, or if you have anything you'd just like to suggest, feel free to ask questions in thread, chat, or through conversations! Requests to play with the alraune afterwards may also be accepted. She'll need someone to water her and take her to classes! In return for fruits and nectar, of course~

(Also, even if your character doesn't have the capabilities to transform someone already, we could always think up a convenient plot device item or something that might make it happen.)

There is actually a nasty sort of creature called a "synthesis flower" which I included in our wiki lore page about native species, which at least fits the aesthetic of what you're going for. But you would probably need to fudge... a lot of the stuff I wrote about those flowers away to make their whole thing work in a character. Maybe your character has some magical properties that let it resist some aspects of the synthesis flowers' transformation?

It may be worth considering, I suppose. You wouldn't get a character making this happen per se, but a part of the site's lore. These synthesis flowers are written as having long range telepathy which you could use as a plot device to drag in characters who otherwise might not have anything to do with any of this.

I shall keep that in mind when she needs transporting, Birdie!

This synthesis flower fits perfect, Kait! As you say, the part about being mentally overpowered by the flower may have to be pushed aside, but I'm sure some reasons for that could easily thought up. It could be a property of the character, they could be found and partially treated very soon, or it could be that the flower itself was immature or improperly developed, which lead to the host retaining control?

Having a character cause the transformation was only a requirement that stemmed from wanting to make things more in-tune to the island and its happenings anyway, so the idea works wonderfully. Besides, if needed, it could be that this particular flower was some sort of experimental species that someone decided to test out on the character, if anyone fancies that.

So, still open for anyone who wants to help alraune-ify the character~ But methods that involve fusing with a synthesis flower will be most sought after!

OH ALSO. My relatively new character, Bara, is sort of a magical plant expert, and also a plant. They wouldn't inflict synthesis on anyone, but would probably be the best possible option for attempting to treat someone who had recently been fused with such a thing.

The synthesis flowers would be waaaaayyy deep in the forbidden forest, and Bara might actually stumble upon one out there while searching for one. It's also possible that Bara's research laboratory at the Academy already has a synthesis flower specimen. It would be LOCKED THE HELL DOWN of course, and probably insulated from telepathically affecting the students via some form of magical interference. That said, it's strictly possible that something could go horribly wrong. Perhaps your character decides to ignore all those "DO NOT ENTER" signs in the hazardous specimen holding area in the basement.

Oh, involving Bara somehow would be pretty neat. Currently I have in mind for Lili to run into a synthesis flower off-island, but is luckily discovered quickly and given treatment that prevents her mind from succumbing. Perhaps Bara could be the one to discover and treat her? It could also be that the synthesis flower grew because of a spore that escaped from his research.

Also, here's Lili's wip app for anyone who's interested. Currently have her as 18, originating from the UK. Ran into a synthesis flower, but was discovered by a scout or another generous individual to be brought back to the island and treated, likely by Bara.

If anyone had characters who might have been able to know Lili prior to alraune-ification, just say so~
