"A private theater?" it was a little hard to imagine someone having such a thing, though he was now assuming she was wealthy, "that does sound pleasant, going in with crowds in the public one sounded a little overwhelming honestly." And just like that, he'd agreed to see a movie with her, perhaps not a date, but maybe close.

He'd nod to confirm that he thought she was pretty, and he did, she was an attractive girl. "Yes I do," he'd take a sip of his tea, his body was about warmed up now, he stretched a bit, his tail stretching with him, it accidentally bumped into her leg, "Sorry...tends to do that."

Xing finished his cup of tea, "I...hope we see each other at school," his small smile returned, "I'd be ok with meeting for tea when we have time you'd like." Being social again, it felt good if a bit scary in a way, dating was something he'd never experienced.

[Emotions: perky, cheerful, attracted]

Tiffany nodded. "The best of the best! We keep it stocked with all sorts of snacks--it even has a popcorn machine! And, you don't have to be around all those big crowds! Aaaand, mayybe you and I could go up to my bedroom afterwards, lock the door--"

She jumped as something touched her leg underneath the table. She tilted her head down to get a better look and glanced back up at him. Her lips were quirked into a sweet smile. "Don't worry about it," she said. "I don't mind."

Tiffany finished her own cup and gingerly set it back on the table. "I hope so too! Maybe we'll have some core classes together," she said, looking up as she attempted to remember her schedule in whole. Her twinkling blue eyes moved back to Xing. "Of course I'd like that! I'm having so much fun right now. Are you, too? I'm just...wow, you're such a cute guy." Tiffany placed her hands on her blushing cheeks and leaned her elbows on the table, casually admiring him.

"That does sound nice, you'll have to show me the different kinds of films," he went to pour himself more tea, but found there wasn't much left, do he poured it into her cup instead. "Lock the door and?" he was curious about what she was going to say, what ideas she had.

"Maybe," he tilted his head, "I'm behind on education a little, so I'm having to catch up a little." It was odd being at school, instead of being taught by dragon and his other older siblings.

He blinked in surprise, him cute? Xing couldn't remember the last time someone had called him cute, let alone an attractive girl, and then there was the fact that he could feel that she was attracted to him somehow. So, even though he didn't realize it, his cheeks blushed very briefly, yes this was something he'd missed out on. "Am I?" he asked, genuinely curious, though he could tell she was being truthful.

That little rascal! He was going to make her drink the rest of the tea! Actually, now that she thought about it, that was very sweet of him--especially since she'd seen him go to pour it into his mug at first. "Thank you! Do you want to go get those shoes after I'm done, or do you want to stay a little longer?"

Tiffany went to sip the tea, but she choked and coughed when he brought back up what she'd been so conveniently distracted from. Her cheeks slowly started to turn red. "Lock the door and...get onn the beeed..." Tiffany was just having the hardest time right now. She felt so shy having to repeat it. It was difficult maintaining eye contact with him while talking about this, but she somehow did it. "I meant spending the night. In the same bed. You're a jerk." On the contrary, rather than feel any hostility towards him, she just felt very flustered (and still attracted to him).

She perked up a little bit at his question. "Of course you are! Beauty might be in the eye of the beholder, but I think you're very handsome. Haven't you ever been told that before?"

Xing nodded, "unless you'd like something else, looks like they have some baked goods and snacks if you're hungry." Patience, it was something he'd learned the hard way, "the shoes aren't going anywhere," he said with a small chuckle.

Sex, she was hinting at them maybe having sex, it wasn't an unpleasant idea, though a part of him wondered if dating for a while would be better. "A movie...an evening with you sounds nice," he glanced down, his hand running over his tail, "I've...never dated, though I'd like to." He had had sex however, with other slaves, one of the few pleasures they were allowed.

"Yes...I'd heard it long ago," or perhaps it hadn't been that long, time hadn't meant much in the slave pits, it was at least a year he thought. "Thank you," he'd give her a smile, it was nice doing all this after such a long time.

[Emotions: bashful, ashamed, apologetic]

Tiffany's gentle breeding slapped her in the face for being so forward--and for offering to sleep with him! She placed her head in both hands, rubbed her face, and let her hands drop again, but she couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes after having said something like that. It must have been a repulsive offer, too, because it sounded like he just totally avoided it and only mentioned the movie part of the night (at least, that's what she thought).

"I-I'm sorry," she said quickly, "for offering something so inappropriate. I'll never ask again. I--" Tiffany paused to take a deep breath, her eyes glowing gold again. Thankfully this vision was brief. "I'd like to, too. Date, I mean. If that's okay with you," she said with a shy smile. "B-but we don't have to call each other boyfriend-girlfriend if you don't want to! We can decide something like that after a couple dates, right?"

Tiffany played with a lock of her hair. She was trying to distract herself from the embarrassment she'd just self-inflicted. "You're welcome, Xing, but...you don't need to thank me. I'm just telling the truth."

He shook his head, "don't apologize," he gave her another small smile that had a little mischievous hint about it, "I wouldn't be against it honestly." Standing he stretched a bit and motioned for her to wait at the table, walking to the counter he bought a sweet roll, returning he split it and offered her half.

"Boyfriend....girlfriend..," he tilted his head, "I'm....ok with us calling each other that." He took a small bite of the sweet roll, "I don't see how using such titles really complicate things....if we're spending time together then were dating." His tail went up and scratched the back of his head, it was mostly instinct and he almost forgot that it was happening.

"So, we'll date," he took another bite, chewed and swallowed, "movies, dinners and yes...," he chuckled quietly, "if you want, those evenings can end with us sharing a bed, enjoying each other." He said all of this in a calm voice, occasionally with what playfulness he could muster up, he'd tried to uncomplicate things, make it smoother for them both.

[Emotions: sheepish, positive, content, curious]

Xing had managed to reassure Tiffany enough to calm her down and stop the people passing by from looking at her weird. Tiffany's eyes shyly returned to his and marveled some at his smile. She went to stand up when he did, but she paused halfway up when he told her to wait. With a nod, she sat back down and busied herself with carefully arranging their mugs and teapot in an easy to clean lump off to the side.

Tiffany perked up when he returned. She eyed the sweet roll and took a napkin from the table to accept it from him with a thank-you. This monkey man was an absolute mystery to her. She had so many questions for him, one namely 'you want to have just one girlfriend?'.

"I didn't expect you to agree," she said, surprised and feeling shy again. "A lot of people on this island don't like to be tied down. I prefer a monogamous relationship; are you okay with that? If you want it to be open, though, I can totally handle it." The way he phrased his last statement made her blush horribly. How could she resist if he put it like that? "We really don't have to do that sort of thing if you don't want to! But if it comes to it and we both really want it..."

Tiffany smiled softly and brushed her hair behind her ear. "You're so kind and understanding, Xing. I'll do my best to make you happy!"

"I enjoyed today, so spending more time together sounds nice," he said as he finished his sweet roll. "I'd prefer a monogamous relationship as well," he nodded in agreement with her, "having multiple relationships might work with some, but it won't for everyone." He used a napkin to clean his hands off from the sweet roll, "I have to admit, I didn't expect this," he chuckled just a little, "that isn't a bad thing though."

His tail wrapped around his waist, "odd....I was going to say the same thing about you." A year in a violent hell and suddenly this, normal life with a girlfriend and school, "I still need to find my sister...maybe sisters, they'll want to meet you." He pulled his light coat on, not buttoning it up though.

"Well....if you're ready would you like to show me to that clothing shop?" his face returned to its usual neutral look, but his eyes had a shine about them. "Perhaps this weekend we'll be able to have dinner and watch that movie," yes, it seemed life here would be unexpected, but maybe it could be nice, maybe he could have a normal life

[Emotions: giddy, cheerful, energetic]

"Monogamous," she repeated after him in a whisper to herself. She grinned and took a bite of her nearly-finished sweet roll. He was actually interested in her, not just having sex with her and adding her to some harem with a dozen other sorry girls. She knew she could never be happy in a situation like that. Past that, she hoped his sisters wouldn't crucify her; she knew she had nothing to worry about, but meeting families on Manta Carlos could be so, so daunting.

Tiffany shoved the last of her sweet roll in her mouth and bounced up to toss the napkin in the nearest trash can. She returned to grab Xing's arm and tug on him with a big bright smile on her face. "Come on, before they run out of all the good shoes! And don't worry about price tags; I'm paying!"
