The rest of the class was rather uneventful, he explained more about the biomagic that creature such as the Rust Monster had on instinctual levels rather then a learned magical ability like most human, meta humans, hybrids and such controlled. Eventually the bell rang and class was over.
Most of the students steamed out like a river witg Trent letting them all know the disection of the creature would be happening the next day and what they would learn would be on their next test.
There was the stragglers of course, still packing things away and walking out. It was here that he called Hudson Ward to his desk while the old dragon sat down and slowly breathed in and out. Even now he felt his legendary draconic size pushing in on him. Making it hard to breath, though it truly was a phantom sensation it had been getting worse as he aged. The older a dragon got the bigger they tended to become. And Trent was no exception, in his true form he would tower above the tallest buildings here on the island.
Yet here he was, sitting at a desk like the human he had once been. Though it might be easier... No, not now. Thoughts for another time.
All his contemplation had taken less then a couple of seconds. Long enough for Hudson Ward to reach Trent's desk. "Now, Mr. Ward, I'm curious as what kept you from arriving at my class on time?" while he spoke Trent also wrote a small message on a piece of paper letting the boy's next teacher know why he would be late for his next class.
